I like Mercer's honesty here, that guy was all over Mercer's cock and Mercer said Morrison was whoppin his ass for 3 rounds and that Morrison hit him harder than anyone else in his career. Morrison may not have been much of a boxer but that mutherfucker could punch. Agreed. Morrison clearly came out of the gate trying to end the fight in the first couple rounds... he punches hard like Mercer said he dealt some heavy blows and was doing damage but his strategy was amateurish.

A more matured, experienced Morrison may have beat Mercer. But who knows, maybe not either. Mercer said it all when he noted that he could hear the heavy breathing at the end of round 3, he knew that was his opening to turn the tide of the bout.

Morrison's loss and lack of ring experience at that point became Mercer's gain. If they met after Morrison fought Hipp, Williams, and Foreman Tommy would've won by UD or TKO in the 6th or 7th.

That was interesting. Any other fighter in that division at that time would have crumbled after that combo but Mercer and perhaps Foreman. Tommy just didn't train like a champ should early on and he couldn't take a punch all that well.

Morrison was a fear fighter.... many heavyweights such tyson and bowe avoided him in the mid-90's. Regardless of the result of each fights Morrison was a serious danger for anybody.
