Well, I can't exactly find much reason to call this a good game.  Even putting graphics aside (since I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to graphics), the gameplay looks clunky and just not that fun. But I do think the music is pretty good, especially Hurricane Polymar's theme.

Its part of the Simple PS1 Series. Those games are made to sell at a cheap price and very little money goes into the production. Sometimes they (D3) churn out some good games though (Global Defense Force series for example)

yeah this shit's weak, sry, but it is. Now tatsunoko vs capcom is gonna be THE shit, Capcom just can't go wrong. They're the number one in my book when it comes to fighting (street fighter, capcom vs series) and action/adventure (dmc and onimusha series). You wonder how a game like TvC is even thought of, but then you have to think about the countless video games that don't even reach stateside like this game, so a game like TvC kinda makes sense since a Tatsunoko fighting game was once made.

Actually, yes Takara is known for their fighting game work. They handled various home ports of SNK games, including Samurai Showdown. Takara also did Battle Arena Toshinden.

Tatsunoko Fight's merit is Denkou Senka Volter. It was created and released less than 5 years before Tatsunoko became a subsidiary of Takara, followed by Takara and Tomy merging and becoming Takara Tomy.

There is a combo system, its just that its real archaic and basic like early SF jumping fierce 2 in one's etc. Basically very difficult to pull off more than 5 hit combos if you dont count the specials or supers that do multiple hits like Hurricane Polyar's Super, which acts like a Street Fighter Alpha 2's V-ism mode.
