I really like the idea of incorporating the violin into this song, because I love the melodic quality of this song and the violin is a pretty apt addition.

I hope you don't mind a little constructive criticism, but personally I prefer if you soften the violin during the verses and emphasised it during the chorus. I also think it would be awesome if you did your violin rendition on a "minus one" (the full song without the vocals); that way, your bit would be given due emphasis.

With an acoustic arrangement this would be better, but I really don't like this, for me all the parts of a song should compliment each other, and this violin part just doesn't work for me, too predictable, and too pitchy (and it's not just because it's too damn loud).
