  • get out of here soldier

  • heavy is russian...

  • not exactly the correct translation

  • @MegaLex32 I imagine it's because an exact translation wouldn't have lip-synched correctly- better to have a close approximation of the dialogue and a better mesh between dialogue and visuals.

  • @Stheno16 Actually, compraring the english and russian versions, I just noticed that they have different animations to fit what they are actually saying O.o

For example, look closely at 12s and comprare it to the english version.

  • @linkjoeaa Source Engine has an automatic lip sync feature.

  • the heavy is actually russian in tf2

  • FUCK"IN PERFECTION! XD

  • POOTES

  • Последняя строчка для америкосов должна переводиться так: ha ha klyovo skozal....

  • Ha ha klyovo skozal.

    Mmm... Yebak %)

  • It costs 12 dollars to fire this weapon for 400,000 seconds.

  • He seems more intelligent while speaking in Russian xD.

  • I see nothing different from the original video.

  • I ам нёаvу шэаройs gцу.

  • In soviet russia bullets fire YOU!

  • Sing while you can?

  • Russian Voice, English Laugh?

  • @PunchinPaul That's racist. You saying Russian's are incapable of laughing the same as English speakers?

  • @Walsh2571

I pointed out that they re-used the laugh from the English version.

  • @Walsh2571 yeah I know, I just thought it would be fun to harass people over issues that seem racist.

  • mhm, i thought that the heavy with his russian voice would have an darker voice :P

  • I love how calm he sounds when he's yelling at whoever touched Sasha

  • The last line, which English translated as 'cool', what was the original Russian meaning?

Keneil Kazao I think he said.

  • @Cyberium Klyovo skazal

  • Гыыы, норм)) Так держать хевик))

  • "Sing while you can"

    ???

  • Hahaha. Cool.

  • this is the real version of meet the heavy. the english version is just tanslated

  • @m4c43ver Uh... no.

  • The animation is a lot better in the Russian version, too. Notice Heavy's expressions are different in this version than in the English.

And Heavy's decal is different as well. It's a skull and crossbones instead of a fist.

  • The Russian voice actor made the English version too, right?

  • @nkgLeader

    nope

  • @nkgLeader nope.avi

  • "Contains content from: EA" THIS IS NOT EA!

  • @lolx0rz

    xD

  • @lolx0rz it is

  • @DoktorBanan Really? I wasn't aware thate Valve was owned by EA.

  • @lolx0rz EA is distributing Valve games

  • @DoktorBanan Yes but EA dosn't own the copyright on any of the games.

  • @lolx0rz Oh, Okey :)

  • @lolx0rz EA also helped to Valve.

  • "Sing while you can." wtf.

They went to the extent of changing the dialog just to ruin this video for their entire country.

  • @TheloniousKeys781 Or perhaps it's an expression that makes more sense in Russian.

How does this ruin the video?

For their entire country? What? Do you think Russians use this video as some sort of propaganda, as opposed to a humorous fictional introduction of video game characters?

You're a fucking close minded moron.

  • @csmybuttt Stop taking shit so seriously. YOU made the fool out of yourself with your long and overly sore comment.

I admit I did consider the "Sing while you can" quote as a used expression, but I put the idea aside for the sake of telling a simple joke based on exaggerated disgust for the replacement of "CRY SOME MORE".. As for the 'moron' statement, you can go fuck yourself you arrogant prick.

  • @TheloniousKeys781 No I didn't. My comment merely addressed what I thought was inflammatory in your comment.

Besides, what you said wasn't close to a joke, based on the elemental belief that jokes are funny. You were TRYING ('try' is the key word here) to be funny, but it seems like you really are the close minded moron that I've called you.

  • @csmybuttt Oh shut up. Regardless of how widely recognized I am as a comedian, a joke isn't made to suit everyone's opinion of what is funny. Is it possible that the ingenious csmybuttt has the inability to understand what a joke is?

Fact is, you are a pompous cunt who writes bombastic comments with the intent of appearing like a supreme intellectual. People like you give me a rash and I can bet you're not too happy with yourself either (as is the case w/most ppl like you)... end of story.

  • @TheloniousKeys781 You're a comedian? Bullshit. With 'jokes' like yours, I doubt your audience is even close to laughing. That is, if you have an audience at all.

You're the one making very close-minded comments on the language choice of a video, so what the fuck are you? Bigots like you are considered scum in my mind, and should be exterminated immediately.

  • @csmybuttt lol, u gettin a little mad cs? Not good for the calm intellectual act.

You know the comments I made weren't truly close-minded or even genuine, you know that I'm no bigot, and you know that you were, perhaps due to your insecurities, conditioned to be both pompous and arrogant. I bet you surround yourself with hate and i bet you fling those corny "idiot" and "moron" words so freely that you've led yourself to believe that you are some rare type of smartass, or maybe even, solipsist.

  • @TheloniousKeys781 You're bitching about a bit of translated dialogue and how the Russian version does not conform to English idiom. You consider the switch in language to 'ruin' the video. If that's not bigotry, I don't know what is.

Insecurities? How do you know the intimate details of my life, O Divine Internet Psychiatrist?

  • @csmybuttt I didn't bitch about a single thing... u mad?

  • @TheloniousKeys781 Well, you're not exactly praising this swap in language, are you?

  • @csmybuttt At this point, I just gotta say give it up. You couldn't get another "moron" who you don't know to hate you. Namely because you couldn't find another "moron" (aka any guy in the past who did not waste time to counter your bs and shut you up) in the first place.

If anything, see this as a good day.

  • @TheloniousKeys781 No, I've merely called out some bigot, who then decides to defend his poorly chosen words, apparently to the death. Good day, bigot.

  • @csmybuttt lol, ok. Good day, faggot.

  • EA?????????

  • Yomoyah. ta troggo sasho? usha...

    TA TROGGO MY UCRASHCWA!

  • pause at 1:10

  • pinyack das de lanutea

  • 0:42 jomajoo xD hahahaha , i was lol

  • i thought I'd not ever say this about heavy but he sounds better in english :(

  • WHO TAGOO MY ACROSHCOO?

  • maybe.... *sniff* maybe.... :D

  • Heavy is russian but he dont sound like it in the trailer

  • Russian is the best language ever.

  • It's not the same voice actor as the English version, is it?

  • I like how they altered the lip synch for each language.

  • @2dreamy I heard there's actually a feature built into the engine, that bases the lip movement around the lines it's fed. Now that would be even more awesome.

  • Sing while you can!

  • 1:08 he is tottally base camping.

  • this fits ths country.

  • @MetroGamerX RETARD

  • The last bit is not "Cool", it was more like "Awesomely said, didn't I?"

  • @mecampbellesq he does check the wiki

  • Heavy lives in Russia, you know!

  • buzz lightlear

  • Sing while you can!

  • Cool.

  • Перехитрите пуля? Не может быть!

Thats translates to "Outsmart bullet? Impossible!"

  • Heavy is a parody of steretypical Russians from the movies.

  • This guy is my hero.

  • Is it just me, or does the heavy seem more natural speaking russian than he does English?

  • @mecampbellesq Duh cause he is Russian, dumbass. F2P noob

  • @JohnDeereGangsta47

Oh yes, and I'm sure to feel chastised by someone with a name like 'JohnDeereGangsta' Go back to the food court and let the grownups talk.

  • @mecampbellesq Because it's his first language.

  • @mecampbellesq But of course!

  • @mecampbellesq He is Russian after all. His english is probably just very, very broken. Like my grandma. and all my friend's grandmas.

Russian grandmas all sound likes heavies

  • @mecampbellesq yeah... i notest

  • @mecampbellesq well he is russian

    :P

  • @mecampbellesq Nah, too light voice and his way of speaking Russian is pretty textbook standard boring. Needs some swearing or something other unique about it (I mean when speaking English he has an accent, that's what makes him cool, right?)

  • @mecampbellesq Because the Heavy is russian

  • @mecampbellesq he has a P.H.D. in russian literater, it makes sense

  • @mecampbellesq well, he DOES have a P.H.D. in Russian literature, so he's technically a doctor...

  • @mecampbellesq the russian versions are lip synced.

  • @mecampbellesq that's because russian is heavy's main language, and he has problems with learning proper english I guess

  • @mecampbellesq well he is russian after all

  • The English version is a translation of this.

  • In soviet russia people dont know english and cant translate

  • in soviet russia, the sasha shots you

  • heavy only fits for english

  • It makes very sense that the Heavy is talking russian because he's from Russia

  • DOLLAROV

  • 1:17 its actually "well siad", not "cool" (i'm russian you can trust meh :P)

  • Is the russian voice actor the same as the english one? sounds like it

  • @GamerToday Probably not.

  • @mesquitadrox are you sure? The laugh is EXACTLY THE SAME

  • @GamerToday It can be, but someone in the comments already pointed out that it is lame that they used the same laugh. Well, maybe Valve just did a lame thing.

  • WOAUAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

    WOUAAAAAAAAHHHHHhh

  • I didn't know they actually had this in Russian! It's so awesome.

    Prikrasna!

  • Sing while Y0:00 Can.

    Cry some M0:00re.

  • Люблю Хэви за его чисто русский акцент в английсской версии!

  • 10 people touched Sasha

  • SING SUM MOAR!

  • Russian voice is better than English...who agrees?

  • @starscreamthe7th I think we all agree!

  • @starscreamthe7th

Yes. He sounds much more confident and, dare I say it, badass in this one--just like he should, if he was born speaking russian.

  • Who touched my baby?!

  • This...is not exactly what he says in the english version...

  • In Soviet Russia, Heavy speaks English.

  • Very well done. They did an amazing job with the sniper in russian too.

  • "Contains content from: EA"

    dafuq?

  • FPS Russia on a videogame.

  • klevo skazal -- translation-- cool

it's not him the english itself is one dumb language

  • yeah the accent definitely makes him look dumber

  • I like the voice acting... but the translation lost the joke about bullets and is altered quite a bit.

  • I feel like he needs a deeper voice.

  • да!! да!!

  • LOL

  • wow, No wonder people think Heavy is stupid, when he speaks english, its all broken O_O

  • 0:44/0:56 Du trådte på mine træsko

  • lol

  • Heavy's Real Language!

  • He reminds me of janitor from scrubs, especially in the part "some people think they are smarter than me"

  • Can someone please tell me (in Russian) what he says at the end?

    The "Cool." part :D

    It sounds epic.

  • @7SDice "Пой, пока можешь" and "Клево сказал?"

  • @7SDice I dunno. It sounds like Ka-lau-ka-zau. "au" being the sound similar to "ou" in "loud". This is phonetically, I wouldn't know how to actually spell it.

  • @7SDice клёво сказал / Klyovo skazal

  • @7SDice

    Kanaou Skazal or Канал сказал.

  • 0:57 I'm surprised they didn't translate it as может быть . . . мокет быть . . .

  • I dont understand what he says, but its russian so it souns badass anyway!

  • Me if I were to go on to being a RED Heavy.

  • POOTISPENCER HERE

  • the heavy IS russian! it's true!

  • @TheAurablaze Um, duh?

  • It does make sense that the Heavy is much more intelligent sounding when speaking his native language. However, they should have had the other videos with the other characters speaking Russian in bad American (and French, German, Australian and Scottish) accents.

  • who troggled my ucruskhu

  • o no toyo yotched sasho!?

  • Heavy is smarter than bullet.

  • @DrFlacutono then , we need someone smarter than heavy...so basicly no one can out smart heavy xD

  • I love how he said "bullet"

  • sasho?

  • I sense alittle duke nukem in him

  • Comment removed

  • Cool.

  • The problem with translating Russian to English and vice-versa is that the word syntax is such a pain in the ass to do. So words become butchered translating it both ways.

  • Heavy sounds a lot smarter speaking his native language.

  • @realwaluigi

Well, he does have a Ph.D in Russian literature... That's Dr. Heavy to you!

  • @jacobpotter

Valve canon is that the Heavy has a Ph.D in Russian Lit, while the Medic has no formal accreditation. The Heavy has more of a right to be called "doctor" than "the doctor".

Just one of the many reasons I love Valve.

  • sing while you ...waitwat?

  • So it's a first pay for Russian? I thought in English version you pay then shoot...

  • He's Chuck Norriskinov.

  • he actually seems rather intelligent and has a good vocabulary in russian, i guess he just speaks english very poorly.

  • @pyramidheadkitten9 Don'tcha know? According to "Poker Night at the Inventory" he has a PhD in Russian literature.

  • Damn heavy, not laughing in english.
