I liked it. Iread some of the comments, like "he wouldn't have been alone,"or"the boots were too high". who cares? I've made some WWII videos too, and I hate when people do that, accuracy to every little detail isn't the point. Nice video. You should check out some of mine.

@KatushaShortFilms They had to fight to the last because there was not any other choice and Germans knew that. Stalin would demand unconditional surrender and what was coming was worse. Short and simple.
@iocantoetu well yeah, what was comming from the Russians from the East was far worse than that one the western front. When we captured them early in the war, we followed the Geneva Convention...the Russians killed them becasue they had absolutley no respect for the Germans. They killed them like they were killin dogs. The germans knew that there fore, our end was muuuuuch better than the russians when it came down to surrendering...

A history lesson for you - the Germans recruited boys as young as 16. Towards the end of the war all men 16-60 were conscripted into the Volksturm. Were there young gusy in the Wehrmacht who's uniforms didn't fit - YES. You sound like one of those fucking stitch nazi reenactors.
why are u saying green is the colour we painted our helmets? i still have the helmet of my grandfather and its fieldgray! a friend of mine has the helmet of his grandfather and its black (ss)
the only helmets that were not gray(wehrmacht)or black(ss) were the paratrooper helmets they lokked a bit different and were in tarncolours(different sorts of green)
i've seen originals from normandy painted every color from light tan to purple... but like i said, we'll have an oak pattern cover for it by the time we shoot our next film

One other point to clear up. Yes, helmets are heavy, and the German helmet is in fact post-war... you got us there. We'll be getting a nice Oak Leaf pattern cover for it before we begin our main project.

Fellas, as part-producer of this video, I can tell you that this has nothing to do with the attitude of any German or U.S. soldier - past or present. The flick was not intended to glorify anyone because for many, in war, the killing is as hard as the dying. We make these films to acknowledge the hardships faced by everyone during WWII. I apologize, however, because we lost some back-story footage during post-production.
In reply to several of the posts...one, the German helmet is green because that's how the painted them. Also, they aren't costumes, the guys who made this must be WW2 reenactors. Personally, I'm a member of the 2nd Fallschirmjaegers (Paratroopers) for WW2 reenacting, and 23rd Infantrie Regiment "von Winterfeld" for WW1 reenacting. Also, to the German who called the americans cowards, you'd do the same, war is hell, and that's just one less guy shooting at you. BTW, great flick there!
