@OnlyInKsa Hi, we only feed live prey to our rehab bobcats who have been injured usually by a car that we rehab and release back into the wild. Feeding live "food" to all of our other cats would be cruel and unnecessary.
Where do you get your supply of meat? Do you rely strictly on donations to feed and care for the cats? You do a great job and if I lived in Florida, I'd ask to be considered on your staff of volunteers. Well, that's only if I could stop watching TJ play in his pond long enough lol

@carlyxz No the cow heads were a luck of the draw and were donated along with our red meat supply, we do make all kinds off popsicles for the cats though, with frozens rats, bunnies etc... for the cats to lick away at the blood to get to the treat inside :)

People should stop being such a goody-goody. We eat and kill cows, bigs, ducks, chickens for food everyday. Now seeing BCR feeding tigers with a cow head, now suddenly people act like this is most terrible thing we have ever seen? What a bunch of hypocrites. How do you suppose our meat comes from anyway? Go to a butcher shop and see it in person. Animals' head, eyes, tongues, legs, stomch etc all cut apart in order to slice them into meat for sale.

@AdvertChild98 (Lots of innards get sold and eaten too. :P Beef tongue especially. I've had tongue before... the taste was ok, but the texture was just disgusting. XD)

@TigerNrOne This wasn't their diet for the day this was just an extra "treat" for them to play with and keep them stimulated as part of our enrichment plan.

@TigerNrOne You think a wild tiger wouldn't eat it's prey's head if it had the chance to get that far on a carcass? There's plenty of meat on a head, herbivores have massive cheek muscles, as well as a big tongue.

Even though it's kinda disturbing that they are playing with cow heads, I never thought the heads could be used as enrichment! That's really using your head! =P I know bad pun. It's funny at the end how one of the tigers drops it in the water then just kinda stares at it.

@Alexanderstuve It's not part of their diet this was simply a "treat" and good enrichment for the tigers, the heads came with a meat delivery and instead of wasting them we can give them to tigers :)

@Alexanderstuve actually, the head is usually the most nutritious, i think. hence, the reason why cats eat the heads of rabbits or squirrels first.

Except for our pets, what animals (including farm animals, wild animals and the animals caging in the zoos) would smell good in the first place? You don't suggest BCR should give these dangerous animals a bath everyday just to get rid of their smell, do you? You talk like you are 5 years old.
