  • ur enclosure is to big for a sling......i recommend u to put it in a smaller one.....

  • lol, i was just wating for the contains to topple of the table, but luckily it didnt lol. yeh, the smithi really is gonnat take a bit longer to grow, there very slow.

Brachys tend to be hair kicker, but ive been tagged once or twice by surprise

  • It will take longer than 2-3 years for Your red knee to reach full growth. I have had mine for 12 years. When I got her, she was about 3 inches. Now she is about 6". They really are slow growing. You will get your money's worth with all the pros that come with the B. smithi. Mild temperment, brilliant colors, ease of keeping, large, impressive size, and 25-30 year lifespan, if its a female. You got it made with that one.

  • yeah, ive always like the red knee =D

  • wait. so they flick hairs as the first sign of defense? how bad does it do when they bite you? im not really allergic to anything afaik

  • yeah, it itches alittle but a bite is like a bee sting

  • right but what is their first sign of defense? do they flick hairs first then if they are still feeling threatened thats the time they show their fangs?

  • the brachypelmas tend to flick hairs anytime they are threatened. Some of my other species will show fangs or try to bite.

  • oh ok. do you know if chilean roses flick hair often too? I heard they are more gentle. Sorry got lots of questions, I wanna consider buying a T.

  • how many times did the smithi molt to get to that size from when you got it? and when did it get its colors like waht size? cus i have a 1.5 inch and hes still gray but you can see the patterns

  • mine doubled out at about an inch and a half. in one molt he went from grey too bright orange and black.

  • yours doubled in size in one molt? wow thats crazy cant wait! btw does yours eat much cus mine doesnt he just sits still like a rock. kinda boring but my curlies are great!
