A lack of fans wasn't what caused the bankruptcy. Years of the owners spending millions of dollars that they didn't have is what caused the bankruptcy. The Penguins had ONE year of bad attendance..during the 03-04 season. And once the 05-06 season came around, attendance was back to normal.

game 4 i believe was what doomed us. we had plenty of chances on the power play, along with a softy or two that fleury let up.
had we gone back to detroit with the series tied 2-2, it would have been a lot more interesting.
i agree though, i really thought it was meant to be after this game, but the wings weathered the storm like all great teams do. hats off to them
