  • No serial killers in my neighbourhood, but the odd chainsaw...

  • m moore brings to light the shameful side of man, whether its serial killers and their complacent neighbors, or abuse of power from the elitists of the world, and the right at large is so brainwashed they defend against him. wow. may the elitists try and slip a mil in Jesus's palm when they try to enter. not.

  • Michael Moore is the biggest, stupidest douche on the face of the Earth.

  • 5:22 A what loner? I can't understand what he's saying.

  • Love how people miss the point. The real garbage is idiots who fail to grasp the idea of satire.

  • to test this i am going to sharpen a massive knife on my porch with a loud grinding wheel while playing the white stripes even louder.

  • Try pulling this in an upper class neighborhood. Even the neighbors of Jon Benet Ramsey, and Dylan Klebold were fooled. This Michael Moore garbage doesn't prove a thing.

  • So the moral of this story is that people need to be more paranoid, and more nosy about their neighbor's business. My neighbors leave me alone and I do the same. Should we be trying to outlaw axes and tree trimmers? Do you want the police at your house because you store things in barrels instead of plastic boxes from Home Depot? Grow up Michael Moore.

  • This was the best Fox show....made fun of Reality.... This was the best & also the Mississippi Law just repealed in 90's, Afro american with White Slaves in Chains going to Jackson capital & the Mall

  • I watched the show and thier was a rapist and it was awful! he said to the 2 girls you have no longer a name its slut i cried at it my brother was wondering why i was crying i said RAPIST RAPIST!!! he was like WHERE! i said TV TV! he said go to bed Merissa ur going to have a night mere i said that happened to me and i am scared still! its always the nice guys then next thing you know it they are bad

  • Tom Hanks would have noticed him immediately.

  • This is ridiculous, alright it's pretty funny but what were they expecting?

It's surprising that the neighbours knew so much about what went on - the neighbours DID notice, contrary to the voice-over guy's comments.

If they seen all that stuff going on and were talking about it to the interview people the voice-over man is lying @ 7:50, they did care - just not enough to go ringing the police aver a new neighbour minding his own business...

  • @ 1:41 lol "no, other than maybe doing some construction work at night...sawing and things like that"

  • lol this is so true. but i mean isnt that what privacy is? the privacy of ur own home? obviously u can do whatever u want. but ya thats pretty fucked up serial killers n shit

  • lol this is so true. but i mean isnt that what privacy is? the privacy of ur own home? obviously u can do whatever u want. but ya thats pretty fucked up serial killers n shit

  • Why are Americans PARANOID enough?! People should be minding their neighbor's business, examining every circumstance in the tiny chance that they're a serial killer! THANK YOU Michael Moore for finally saying this, you're a life saver!!!!!

  • the 1st lady said rifkin helped her take PACKAGES into her house. hahahahah.

  • Ha! Loved this. Actually I think I liked the old Moore better.

  • Dr. Katz!

  • Long Island rocks

  • Actually Jeffrey Dahmer had multiple complaints about the noises and smells, and they spelled "Gacy" wrong. Still a great video though.

  • Great skit! Creepy as hell... it could easily be the real thing, and they would still remain oblivious...

  • Oh my gosh! Why are these people not taking any notice? Wow, I think I'd notice a serial killer! Hahaha...the music is so happy! So funny!

  • People always say that it's "the person you least suspect" be it an online sexual predator or serial killer or something else. But often there are signs and people just don't make the connections.

  • Actually, serial killers are very rare and actually the people in the video did notice some of the odd behaviour - they just came up with more rational explanations.

  • Perhaps the point of this clip is that because the neighbors -did- rationalize the behavior it allowed the 'creep' to continue.

Many serial & spree killers come into contact with either (or both) police and citizens who 'sense' there is something 'wrong' or 'odd' but they rationalize it away and thus the predator escapes.

Three easy examples are Dahmer, Bundy, and Gacey. Each of these people had run ins that nearly got them caught.

This is a great skit. LOL @ the bayonet finger cleaning!

  • "We don't know if that's a base paint..."

    LMAO

  • Dog: woof! woof! woof!... woof! arf! woof! woof! Translation: I'm barking at a fucking serial killer, you stupid humans! Pay attention! Hello? Hello? Fine, get killed, stupid fucking fleshbags that you are!

  • It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood (bang! crack!)... a lovely day in the neighborhood (chainsaw buzzing)... won't you be my neighbor?

  • Americans people are fucking dumb.

This is coming from your neighbor up north.

They are so clueless and slow, undereducated.

  • BigAlexender's comment is a fine example of what is known as 'projection'.

'Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes' - Buck Murdock

  • this coming from a Canadian LOL idiot

  • If you want people to pay attention, just turn off the cable TV

    F'in Boobs

  • Dr.Katz!

  • It just goes to show what has become of the modern sense of community!

  • LOL How do I get a job on this show? That's great!! They should have tried playing a tape of someone screaming though, that would have probably done it. I don't socialize w/my neighbors much, if you do they get too friendly & bug you all the time, but if you keep a distance from thems they think you're mean & watch you all the time. lol I seriously doubt they'd have been able to do that in a smaller more gossipy town w/o the neighbors confronting them in some way or another. Funny though.

  • Thank you for posting this. I saw it when it was originally on TV and I always tell people about it.

  • that saying 'love is blind but the neighbours arn't' is SOOO NOT true more like 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' all real serial killers DO act strange neighbours JUST choose not to notice.

  • The point of the video's explained at the end. All the signs were there. But if the guy was a serial killer and arrested all the neighbors would say how quiet and nice he was, like all the neighbors of real serial killers do.

  • Fuck... my neighbors called the police on me because my music was too loud! And another neighbor back in California banged on my wall because I was having a sneezing fit. This video means shit!

  • I've always known who my neighbors are. But how are we supposed to see if someone's silently murdering someone in the next house? Are we supposed to follow our neighbors wherever they go? Michael Moore's a fucking tool.

  • I get the impression that Mr. Moore's point is that more neighbors should have called the cops on 'strange' neighbors & there would have been fewer victims of serial killers.

No doubt, had more neighbors reported 'strange' neighbors to the cops, Mr. Moore's documentary would have been critical of nosy intolerant suburbanites harassing law-abiding citizens who were just a little 'different'.

Which way does Mr. Moore want it?

  • CREEPY!

  • I'm from LI, and I can't believe these people aren't nosy at all. My neighbors were annoying noisy assholes.

  • YO that's fuckin crazy!!! this is my town!! Westbury, NY on Long Island!! And that's my brother-in-law walking past the bloody mattress when he was in middle school!!!

    AAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • @Alex11554 lol! Im in Plainview, NY. lmao :)

  • @Alex11554 Really?

  • dainogas, pay attention to the first minutes of the video.

  • In the book, (about the show) they went a little farther. They put a sign in front of the house stating, "Kid's Picnic!...No Parent Allowed!"....that didn't even turn a few heads...I guess they left that out.

  • Typical American Life. Living Blindly To What's Going On Around Them And Their Country! Too Busy Worrying About "American Idol", Instead Of Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, And International Terrorist George Bush.

  • OMG. When they started playing gunshots at night, I thought, "Someone has GOT to respond now!" Too frightening.

    I miss this show.

  • Hahaha! This is cool! Apparently this was Quentin Tarantino's favourite segment!
