Anyone who likes Jorn should definately check out his work when he was still the vocalist of Ark. As far as I know it was his first band, and I've been tracking his every work ever since. Highly recommended peeps!

Thoroughly tracked, thinking Ark was his first band. New Ark album coming out in June too, although without Jorn. He's too busy pursuing a career in generic heavy metal and solo albums with zero songwriting skills. Sad waste of a great voice, really - the two Ark albums were arguably his best work.

Couldn't agree more. I've seen Masterplan live and was greatly disappointed. Seemed as though Jorn himself wasn't enjoying it much either, he routinely rammed the vocals in the mic without any passion or interest. It is indeed a sad waste of his talent, he could be doing so much more. However, I do find some of his solo works more than listenable. Especially his collaboration with Russel Allen (vocalist of Symphony X) titled "The Battle" was quite enjoyable. Still, Ark is by far his best.

@Pouwmademedoit Masterplan never appealed to me, but the second album of Ark is the best album of prog metal ever, to my opinion. I like Beyond Twilight as well though, it's more dramatic / symphonic.
