Am I the only one who likes both the English and German versions?

You have to understand that when translating an entire movie, some context cannot be translated word-for-word. There are words that exist only in German and not in English, and vice versa. Plus both artists' interpret Gwendolyn differently, and I love them both.

I've seen both English and German versions, but I do not understand German, and I had to watch the German version with no subtitles. They're both great nonetheless.

Sorry if it sounded aggressive, did not mean that but I was a bit dissappointed that the writers changed the words completly when changing the language on the movie.

It can sound good when not knowing the original.

The English version was the original. Even though the movie is a German production, we animated to an English soundtrack, (The voices are always there before the animation, so that we know on what exact frames we have to draw which mouthshapes) and dubbed in German after the film was already completed. Gwendolyn's voice was done by American singer Oleta Adams.

AAAHHHHH! She MURDERED this song! The original German singer's voice was so beautiful. It fit the song perfectly. But the american singer tried too hard to make it bluesy. But thank you so much for posting this.
