  • Comment removed

  • @brando18guitarplyr Ya. I agree. You don't have to. Wow. That was clever.

  • amazing guitar player. but playing robot toy sounds on guitar doesnt impress me and hide the lack of emotion/creativity from me.

  • does paul even have any like youtube or anything?

  • Great track this one.... check out my cover version...

  • guys...a lil help pls?.....wat pickup is he using for the orange pgm? thanks!

and wat body? alder or basswood?

  • aaaaaaaaaahahahahhhhhhgg wheres the REST!

  • paul gilbert, the great innovator of shred guitar.

  • From what dvd/cd does this video came form?

  • at first i thot he was gonna play eruption

  • 0:55

sounds like I Feel Fine by the Beatles

  • what dvd is this from?

  • what kind of ibanez is that?????????????

  • its his ibanez pgm although i dont think it comes in that color

  • its a customized ibanez pgm 301; a great damn guitar

  • It's not customised, it's built for him, and if anything it's closer to a PGM500.

  • if its built for him, its customized. and yeah i guess so, but they're all really close to being the same.

  • @prydogga It's a "custom guitar" case closed..... Dumb ass

  • He has the fastest pinky I have ever seen.

  • @Rockmanzzzz and biggest.

  • @Rockmanzzzz type in shawn lane

  • -_-!!

  • Paul Gilbert rules !!!

  • He is sooo fast but also so clean. very hard to do both.

  • he palm mutes mostly thats how it clean;)

  • or he just has the best technique of every guitar player in the world x)

  • i have trouble with decsending down the strings.

  • If you start any lick off with that, you'd be Rusty Cooley. XD

  • what video is this from?

  • it's the last part in school of shred iirc

  • paul gilbert you fantastic!!!

  • ARRRRWOOOOOOOOOOOWHHHH

  • omg he is so good.. he doesnt even noe how he is picking the 1:23-1:25

  • ...How does he play 32nd notes at that fast of a tempo? (1:22 - 1:23)

  • metronome practice is one way to get up there. Start slow and live by the click. Next day, move it up one click. In a week, you're that fast. (miracles can happen lolol!)

  • Yeah that's what I do, that's what my teachers have told me to do for both trumpet or guitar. They work.

But that doesn't mean I can play like him

  • Best pinky in shred =D

  • second'd

  • OOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUW!!!

  • its true that if you start anythign with that, its awesome. just try playing with your feet... if you do that first, youll rip hahahaha

  • aargh. he rules!

  • Paul Gilbert!!!!!! HEs amazing, why do i even try?

  • Which video does this come from?

  • tits

  • u kids

  • "it was an ibanez custom made for him probably never going to be a production model, you never know though it's one of his favorites so maybe. If you go to any decent luthier they should be able to make a replica for you though." Wrong, It was a production model. Only very few were produced though. IbanezRokr your best bet is to build one. I'm most likey going to do the same thing.

  • does anyone have any info on that PGM? If i cant find anything out about it i'll be forced to build a replica.

  • ibanez does sell pgm's, they have wizard necks with reversed head stockes, go to almost any music store and they'll be able to order you one

  • i was talking about that specific one, i have all the other ones.

  • it was an ibanez custom made for him probably never going to be a production model, you never know though it's one of his favorites so maybe. If you go to any decent luthier they should be able to make a replica for you though.

  • Yeah, i think i'll build one rather than wait for Ibanez to release it. thanks bro

  • i've been wanting a replica of that pgm for a while, pretty unique looking

  • if i'm able to build a fairly good replica for myself, i may build a few more and sell them on eBay (as replicas of course)

  • Paul is the man period!! Rock on Paul!!

  • excuse the grammar.

... I was thinking too fast that I missed some of the words to write and mixed some.

  • continuation...

BUCKETHEAD just plenty of kfc's and had plent of finger lickin' good then thought he could play. lmfao.

People in the music world are just laughin' at that guy.

  • Actually, most people in the music business are in awe at his ability to play...and obviously GnR doesn't follow your theory. He's an extremely creative, talented, and gifted technical player. If you deny that, then you're just biased or don't know much about guitar.

  • lol.

what the hell's wrong with this buckethead fanatic suckers.

Bucket cannot be compared to PG skillwise and musically.

skills? PG will just ran bckheads ass with speeds and wide as in wide variety of skills that you can't imagine. And you haven't seen have of what PG's got under his sleeves.

Musically? Omg. PG is gifted genius just like Satch and Vai. They're great inovator as well when it comes to music theories and whatnot.

    continue...

  • paul gilbert is really tall in fact

  • My mistake regarding his height. Bucket and Gilbert's guitar styles are just so dramatically different I can't see why this rumor is being perpetuated. PG seems to play a lot of diatonic triplet stuff which is picked incredibly fast and accurately. Bucket plays a lot of funk and chromatic legato stuff and he uses all of the unusual right-hand tapping stuff. Again, my bad on Gilbert's height.

  • Buckethead took lessons from Paul Gilbert for a while, so that would explain some similarities in style. But Buckethead uses all of the odd multi-finger right-hand tapping and chromaticism. Paul doesn't. Oh yeah, and Buckethead is like 7ft tall and Paul Gilbert is somewhat short. Hmm...

  • Paul isn't that short - he's 6'4"

  • You're fucking GOOD!!!I love you ""paul""??

    uahauhauahaahhaah

    que pornografico!

  • Ok he's like, absolutly amazing, but I thought it was funny when he was trying to figure out the picking, but, he's still one of the best

  • You're fucking GOOD!!!I love you paul!

  • buckethead uses similar patterns to the one in this video.. he does use certain patterns that are exactly the same as pauls though.. because he took studied under him for a year.

it shocks me that people still think buckethead is gilbert-- minimal research will show you this is obviously untrue.

  • buckethead uses the exact pattern at 1:23

  • for those who think paul gilbert is buckethead, buckethead uses that exact pattern in one of his songs

i have no comment on bucketheads identity

  • so damn smooth, bastard!

  • haha he doesn't know what he's playing. He just plays really friggin well.

  • lol u start any lick off with that, its gonna be good, paul gilbert rules

  • hahaha "that almost sounds like yngwie"

  • haha! fuck hes such a spakker its just helarious

  • what the fuck is a spakker?

  • I believe it is a common colloquial phrase, or another term for spastic.

  • Awesome. All hail Paul Gilbert!
