metronome practice is one way to get up there. Start slow and live by the click. Next day, move it up one click. In a week, you're that fast. (miracles can happen lolol!)
"it was an ibanez custom made for him probably never going to be a production model, you never know though it's one of his favorites so maybe. If you go to any decent luthier they should be able to make a replica for you though." Wrong, It was a production model. Only very few were produced though. IbanezRokr your best bet is to build one. I'm most likey going to do the same thing.

Actually, most people in the music business are in awe at his ability to play...and obviously GnR doesn't follow your theory. He's an extremely creative, talented, and gifted technical player. If you deny that, then you're just biased or don't know much about guitar.
what the hell's wrong with this buckethead fanatic suckers.
Bucket cannot be compared to PG skillwise and musically.
skills? PG will just ran bckheads ass with speeds and wide as in wide variety of skills that you can't imagine. And you haven't seen have of what PG's got under his sleeves.
Musically? Omg. PG is gifted genius just like Satch and Vai. They're great inovator as well when it comes to music theories and whatnot.
My mistake regarding his height. Bucket and Gilbert's guitar styles are just so dramatically different I can't see why this rumor is being perpetuated. PG seems to play a lot of diatonic triplet stuff which is picked incredibly fast and accurately. Bucket plays a lot of funk and chromatic legato stuff and he uses all of the unusual right-hand tapping stuff. Again, my bad on Gilbert's height.
Buckethead took lessons from Paul Gilbert for a while, so that would explain some similarities in style. But Buckethead uses all of the odd multi-finger right-hand tapping and chromaticism. Paul doesn't. Oh yeah, and Buckethead is like 7ft tall and Paul Gilbert is somewhat short. Hmm...
buckethead uses similar patterns to the one in this video.. he does use certain patterns that are exactly the same as pauls though.. because he took studied under him for a year.
it shocks me that people still think buckethead is gilbert-- minimal research will show you this is obviously untrue.
I hope I never will be fingered by him....

ibanez does sell pgm's, they have wizard necks with reversed head stockes, go to almost any music store and they'll be able to order you one

i was talking about that specific one, i have all the other ones.
