in other fiqh aspect, we cn perfrm any new things as long as it is not prohibited in the Quran & Hadith. So in this case, no women ever became a Jumm'ah imam in d time of prophethood. why don't his Companions asked Aisya RA, Fatima etc to be the imam and lead the Friday prayer after the death of the Prophet? We respected Amina wadud's mission to uphold the female voices in Islamic matters, but we all should know that it is different in context when it comes to ibadah rituals such as Jumm'ah prayer. In ibadah, we did not create new rituals other than following what the Prophet PBUH. Or the new thing will be considered as bid'ah. and all bid'ah will lead to astray. because in the ibadah rituals, we need to have the proper example for the Prophet. It quite differ from the other fiqh aspects.

women's Imamah in Salah (prayer) she can lead congregational prayers of women only. It is not permissible for a woman to lead prayer of mixed gender congregation, even if the congregation allows her. Did Aisha (R.A) ever lead a mixed gender congregation? The answer is no, she did not. Not while the Prophet (Salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam) was alive and not after he died. Aisha (R.A) had led some women in jamaat (congregation) but that she stood in the middle of the row, not in front of it.
