  • This is the best tone that I ever have heard from a baritone saxophone! I wonder if it is all in his embouchure and / or in his use of his diapragm.

  • OMG that was amazing :D I wish there was a jazz lounge in Perth with such great players :):)

  • considered one of the best bari sax players to ever live... how can you disagree with this evidence?

  • haha i scrolled down to read comments and didnt realize that james started playing, those are some sick high notes.

  • The control this man has over the bari is unbelievable!!!...He's making it talk.Sublime stuff from one of our modern day masters.

  • Tears---dat was beautiful I love slow ballads

  • I love Dwight's faces! He's enjoying Carter's solo, indeed!

  • James Carter: Not too many notes, but plenty of great music and good imagination. Thanks for posting this.

  • amazing range... I did not even know baritone could do that

  • that was tasty. his range and control of that range (my altissimo goes out of tune quickly) is great. really good ideas ans great technique!

  • slow down dog...this is just a jam...

  • yeah seriously dud

  • Beautiful...

  • I loved it. it was a great reprsentation of the bari sax. great job james

  • he ain't sayin' nothin' kids

  • Well, that's a great solo. Love how Dwight follows it with his gestures.

  • I wanted to hear Dwight!

  • Ken-

The audio was too scratchy with Dwight's solo :(

  • what a beast. Listen how high he is playing!

  • He didn't play all that high, it sounded like he didn't get much higher than a B.

  • I would get rid of the word "High." Just listen to HOW he is playing.

  • I think he's one of the greatest players around with the technique, the sound, and the groove but a little bit too much of a show off for me.

  • Carter is probably one of the best sax players that ever existed and is awesome on bari as well as any other sax. But i noticed that he seemed a little out of tune at around 2:46 for a few seconds.
