Might have to try this stuff. I'm highly allergic to fire ant stings. My doctor had to give me an Epi Pen after I was stung 5 times and had to be rushed to the hospital because of respiratory complications.

@vicag08 I hear you. I'm allergic to ants period. I got bit in the foot by a few regular black ants and my whole leg swelled up.

I got 12 bites two days ago and they still itch and burn like crazy. I don't know who in their right mind would voluntarily get stung by fire ants. They caused me to have a panic attack for the first time in my life.

Last year, on 4th of July, my mom was walking out of the park (she was barefoot) and a bunch of ants attacked her leg.

one time i was walking in the woods and then i felt a little sting and then i looked down and there was like 20 fire ants on my foot and i started freaking out like crazy! (it hurt)

you are so calm...whenever i get stung by ants, i freak out and tear all my clothes off, and get ba-ad chills and goosebumps.

@kaoruneko16 It was only one ant :) If you get stung by a couple dozen then yea I'd freak out as well.

I was doing a slip and slide by the lake and the fire ants made a nest on the "Lake Sludge" and one was on my stomach and stinging me i got 2 stings pussing 2 more are normal and one is white EGGHHHH!! IT STINGS

I didn't know the ants stung too. I knew they clamped in you with their Mandibles.

@SierraRoad They do clamp with their mandibles. They do so to get a grip on you and then sting you. They are very inconsiderate.

What shocks me is that when I was teaching in South Texas I thought I was being stung by regular red ants. There were several crawling all over my feet biting me. I had never seen fire ants in my life. I'm orginally from Northern New Mexico. Anyway, I kept sweeping them off my feet of killing them left and right, but I NEVER puffed up or itched...NOTHING happened to me. Everytime I was bitten, nothing happened. I always thought it had something to do with my Native roots...haha. Don't know.

@native4life5 i know its a lil late but its not uncommon for that your family genes prob built up a resistance to the stings
