There has only been one reported incident in July 2003 of a scientist being killed by a leopard seal while he was snorkelling at a research station in Antarctica. No other deaths have been recorded after that, but there are reports of leopard seals following and being aggressive towards humans and puncturing boats.

Leopard seals eat penguins, fish, krill, prawns(shrimps)and are the only seals that also other seals.
