For the gm guys and ones who dont know shit the hpe went against the 600 super snake not the 725 that car runs 10.8@134 and kills the gtr and the gt 350r runs mods 11 to low on street tires. The zl1 has no chance even with that car nevermind the 2013 gt 500. And the srt can't even beat the 5.0.
@onebadhill. I'd like to just point out the fact that the camaro had to bring out a complete after market company in order to even come close to compete with the Shelby gt500. You can't buy a Hennessy camaro straight from the show floor but you can buy a Shelby straight from the dealer. The Hennessy camaro is the camaros top of the line car. The Shelby gt500 is not fords top of the line mustang. The Shelby super snake is the top of the line mustang and will rape the shit out of the ugly ass cam

I dont own either of these cars but I have never liked the look of the camaro's interior and when it came down to it the thing was terrible in the slalom and skid path. So I agree with their decision. Sorry camaro boys, this wasnt just a "whos fastest on the 1/4 mile contest". Boo hoo.

The Mustang, Challenger and Camaro are my three favourite cars, and in other videos, the Camaro has been the better all rounder, and yet they still pick the Mustang because it was faster on a quarter mile. The new Mustangs might be better all around than the new Camaros and Challengers (I'm going to do some research on that now) but in previous year models, the Mustang has only been faster.

@elmandr1 Went with abuddy of mine to dyno a 2003 Cobra he bought for his wife. I did all the mods on her car. I did all of the mods on his car. 2.80 pulley, o/r x-pipe, CAI and tune. It made 460 rwhp SAE. This was 2004. They had a 2004 Viper with 3k miles on it. It made a wimpy 420 at the tire.

Obviously, A ford fan just did that. The Camaro smokes the Shelby in the 0-60 and quarter mile and is the same in the skid pad and other tests about the same. How does the shelby come out on top in this dorks opinion. Amazing, they compared these two cars at K&N Facilities and the Camaro won every test they did. The Challenger from Speedworks was part of the test also. They didn't show up with enough HP though. My point, Hennessy Camaro pisses on the Shelby.
@moemoemoe567 they actually tell you why, because it is a much smoother car to drive. The Camaro has great acceleration, but thats it. The difference in the Skid pad and slalom might seem insignificant to someone whos idea of racing includes nothing but a straight line and as much power as possible, but it makes a whole world of difference carving through turns. I'm not sure about that other test you mention but I've seen other videos comparing the Shelby and the SS and the Shelby wins all

@scape05 No the boss won't even come close. I work at a Ford dealership and we actually have both. The boss is just a higher tuned and track worthy GT. The GT500 is supercharged and pushing 100 more hp.

It's a fucking Hennessey, the GT500 is still a Ford, built by Shelby, contracted to Ford, if Shelby was part of Ford it would still have a lower budget than GM. Hennessey already has plans for a 1000 Hp Mustang. The Camar was designed by a guy in Japan.

Exactly, stock for stock imports are crap, mod for mod imports are better, but reliability's down to nothing, and a modded muscle car will take care of that spec on the track. Now i'll agree with you on the gtr argument, but I still don't like it since for less I could get a boss, supercharge it, and make it a gtr killer (the regular one, not the alpha12). The definition of a production car is built from scratch assembled and sold at a dealer (regular GT500) they have required crash tests and fuel efficiency standards. Obviously, A ford fan just did that. The Camaro smokes the Shelby in the 0-60 and quarter mile and is the same in the skid pad and other tests about the same. How does the shelby come out on top in this dorks opinion. Amazing, they compared these two cars at K&N Facilities and the Camaro won every test they did. The Challenger from Speedworks was part of the test also. They didn't show up with enough HP though. My point, Hennessy Camaro pisses on the Shelby.

The difference in the Skid pad and slalom might seem insignificant to someone whos idea of racing includes nothing but a straight line and as much power as possible, but it makes a whole world of difference carving through turns. I'm not sure about that other test you mention but I've seen other videos comparing the Shelby and the SS and the Shelby wins all

It's a fucking Hennessey, the GT500 is still a Ford, built by Shelby, contracted to Ford, if Shelby was part of Ford it would still have a lower budget than GM. Hennessey already has plans for a 1000 Hp Mustang. The Camar was designed by a guy in Japan.
