@MrJSchiedel I would love to eventually "Graduate" to bow hunting in the near future. However, as of now, I am having a BLAST shooting and I am sure I will continue to have a great time for the rest of my hunts, with a gun or bow. I know it is very difficult to get in close enough to harvest an animal with a bow and because of the increase in difficulty there is a increase in excitement. I hope your arrow flight is as true as my bullet in our future hunts. I am looking forward to seeing your vid

The reason California is difficult is because of people like you toting rifles; there are hundreds of people with guns shooting like cowboys and hillbillies. Why not take up tracking and find a nice bow, and partake in a real hunt.

@chitorbueno1 This section is on the boarder between D8 and D9. From this look out spot, it is a short hike to D8. We had D9 tags and hunted in the valley below, which is within D9.

-One is allowed to hunt national forest, but not allowed in state parks, as far as I understand. BLM also controls land Near and around the national forest, which is allowed to be hunted.

Do you hunt on BLM land? or can you get a permit or something to hunt in Sequoia? I just moved out here and I am trying to figure out where I can hunt.
