    thanks for uploading

  • Sorry Aiden, Aiden did have chorde to most of the song.

  • If my memory serves me correctly... Long time ago.

  • Aidan is right about this tune. He had the lyrics and melody ready in rehearsal but no chords. I and the rest of the band helped with the arrangement to finish it. It was then an Ejits song during our last days. Main credit goes to Aidan though. I wrote the picket song and that sort of stuff. Just to clear things up.

  • just a heads up,blind ddate was not written by alex but by me and the surgey brothers ,al of cousrse helped as did all the ejits.

sadly i dont have any recording of the tide is high but our version was more like the original than blondies version.

  • I'm 99% sure that I saw this band support Bad Manners around the years 2000-2004..

They played a great cover of 'The tide is high' by Blondie..

Are there any versions of The Tide Is High on any of their CDs?..

Also what CDs of theirs do you recommend checking out?

    Please post details!

    Cheers!

  • OMG - Cant believe how long its been since I have seen the riffs and the hotknives!!!

  • Was a studio version of this ever recorded? I've only ever heard this live version!

  • Last I heard he married an Australian girl and went out there

  • have to agree with some of the comments here... when adian left he left a bit of a hole that was never filled .....a great front man yep

  • Top choon, the Riffs were never the same after Aidan left.

  • Too true. What has happened to Aidan Sterling? Love the who wants it album

  • No idea, I'll ask around.

  • Your name rings a bell in my head. Did you have a part in the zoot mags in the late eighties with George Marshall,?Did you do live reviews or something like that?

  • I most certainly did!! I did a few reviews, had a laugh and am going to see Symarip on the 20th next month in that London!!

  • Brillant! I use to buy the zoots when I was a teenager. I'm going to try and make that Symarip gig myself. All the best.

  • Look lively, loads of tickets gone.

  • By the way, spoke to my mate and he ain't seen him for over 10 years. last time I saw him was at Brixton in '97.

  • Cheers its such a pity that hes not doing a bit. As I thought in 89/90 The Riffs of that time were a top band live and in the studio and that Adian was a great frontman.

  • CLASSIC! Thank you so much for putting this one up...
