  • Thank You all! I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden... brign your ukulele hehehehe I love British humor if I will be in GB, I need to see them live.

  • I don't speak English very well, if someone could finish what she was singing from 3:17 (come with me tuesday bring... and next??)

  • I love u guys ~~ you guys are so cool and fun and awesome ~~

  • This is fucking awesome. I love creative, artful and respectful homages to modern pop songs. This is great stuff.

  • i LOVE this. IMO the O2 version is better. But this rocks. Just proves that age is no barrier to havin a laugh

  • nice!

  • Freakin awesome. Never would have expected to come across this, ever. Brilliant. A ukulele orchestra version of an obscure punk song. Can't stop saying brilliant.

  • @IlluminatorLumina check out their cover of crazy, gnarls berkly, enjoy..

  • @IlluminatorLumina

I'd hardly call Teenage Dirtbag "obscure"?

    Or "punk", for that matter.

  • Loved it!

  • Their serious expressions are absolutely hilarious.

  • @DylanWilby that's an act

  • loved it!!

  • Fan'fucking'tastic!

  • I like the song and how you sang. :) Love it !

  • that was awesome!

  • Epic :O

  • Хаххаахаххаха!

  • i love her voice...she is the shiz

  • she is so british its brilliant, her voice is great!

  • Hester is great in this number but that Kitty Lux too, what a gal, uke player and good voice as well..

  • so brillaint, its makes me shiver

  • this is better than the original

  • @damienbuttigeg OMG this is DEFINATELY NOT A HANNAH MONTANA SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! that is sacrilege calling it that!!

  • @damienbuttigeg HAhahahahah no. WHEATUS

  • @damienbuttigeg rinsed.

  • @damienbuttigeg no it's by Wheatus lol

  • Definite sound of Kirsty Maccoll, that different this is good

  • @1oolabob The proms isn't about a bunch of upper-crusties. Hundreds of people go every night for £5 - it's designed to be as accessible as possible

  • I spotted this tune in related videos and first read it "teenage tea bag": I thought like WTF? As I know, porn is fordbidden on youtube. :D

  • *Posh*

  • Lol push people singing this!!!! rofl :-D

  • @MsCuteNerd19 Well no, it's not *all* that they play at proms in Britain. The Proms present a diverse range of music and in recent years they have been getting better and more eclectic with the Spaghetti Western Orchestra, the Comedy Proms, music from the movies etc. But the core performances are solid orchestral music. And the proms has the same meaning as it does in the USA, it's short for "promenade concert" and it means that the audience is free to move around during the performance.

  • It's not the size of your instrument that's important, but how you play with it.

  • she sounds like kirsty maccoll

  • im a teenage musician and this is the song that got me hooked on ukulele

  • Great job

  • VIGOROUSLY FIST PUMPING TO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! Thumbs up if your a Teenage Ukelale player ;)

  • yay :D love this song, i have a ukulele, im a teenager, and i play ukulele :D yay :P

  • Wow. I dunno, I thought it was just a joke or a gimmick, but this group of ukulele players just made a concert hall full of upper-crusties in London feel a great punk rock love song. Just wow.

  • @1oolabob

how cool are they and I'm an old crustie and like this song!

  • 15 and playing like a boss

  • No

  • OWNED!!!

  • Teeeeeeenaaage Dirt Baaag!

    Greatest Cover !!!

  • he drives and I rock...

  • @Trinity8030 he drives an IROC--its a camaro

  • Dude... He's a Dick... He drives an IROC

  • the only thing better than teenage ukulele players...

    teenage NERDFIGHTER ukulele players.

    i am one.

  • Just bought my first ukelele since I was in second grade (40 something years ago) and you're both inspiring, and intimidating..I'd love to just be able to make a recognizable tune, but this was just amazing, and your voice was beautiful, made me tear up a little, great version of the song :)

  • Woooooooo

  • he drives an I-Roc or he drives and i rock. porbably the most debated subject of my school days those lyrics.

  • Wow. Very sweet and poignant. Having a girl sing it with ukuleles gives this fine pop song another level of substance. Check out the HUGE applause at the end...nice in all ways. Thanks for posting.

  • even they perform better than original group(whealus) awesome i like them all

  • wonderfull....wondurfull....without words....

    After Years....still goooood....

Danke, verbeugen...verbeugen....zurück...zurück...es hat uns sehr gefreut....Majestät(en)...

  • Wow, this just made my day!! Wonderful stuff!

  • much better than the original :D

  • 7 people aren't teenage dirtbags.

  • I'm thinking there's like a 50-50 chance that if your watching this your probably up way to late...

(it's cool they did this. It's pretty)

  • What a fantastic voice too!

  • This is awesome! I really like the way she finishes out the main stanzas...rather than the original.

    PMZ

  • I LOVE THIS

  • haha this is great!!

  • i really hated the ending... you know, cause it ended.

  • its always funny to here a posh english woman say "dick" and "kick my ass"

  • @alemoor what do you mean posh?

  • Anyone know the chords?

  • Her boyfriends a dick

  • I love these guys and have bought a few of their songs on youtube, but I must admit that I'm not keen on the lead singer's voice... Maybe it's just me. Either way, good effort in this arrangement!

  • @andygriff1987 do you mean the one singing this song? Because they don't really have a lead singer, they take it in turns to sing lead vocal.

  • @RichardisDead True that. It's addictive. :)

  • buying tickets to see these guys in worthing :D

  • can any one find Anercy in the uk cause that's a laugh

  • This is the best song I've ever heard in my life

  • I saw these folk last night and my hands were sore clapping as they are the most slick, professional, entertaining, humorous, enthralling group i have ever seen. Absolutely fabulous. Go see them if they come again. Best two hours music and fun ever.

  • Dat was cool beans!!!

  • I just watched them at The Sage Gateshead last night and ALL OF THEM were awesome, hilarious and enjoyable! I wish they wouldn't stop strumming and plucking the ukuleles! The bass ukulele player rocks!

  • @owlystar it's not really a bass ukulele, but they do call it that.

  • come with me tuesday, bring your ukelele...

  • i saw skins were JJ played 'true' and the sound of the ukuleles just fucking got stuck and now im kind off addicted to it and i dont think that will change in a very long time :)

  • saw them last night they were so gd

  • simply rock!

  • Ukeleles aside, there is just something inherently awesome about a bunch of middle-aged Englishmen and women in black tie singing a song called "Teenage Dirtbag."

  • @david02911 You've hit the nail on the head.

That's their entire purpose - they're a novelty group. And that's a major part of the humour - the contrast between the very formal dress and group name, and the very informal music and instruments.

  • Awesome!

  • What a strumming performance :D

  • thattsss pretty amazing

  • This always manages to ambush me whenever I leave my iPod on shuffle on my way to work, and then it's a rapid-fire choice between cracking up & singing along like an ijit, or accepting grim Stoic fate & riding my bicycle into the bushes. Ah well...

  • @Yaspis

    Thankyou for the unexpected giggle.

I saw them 2 days ago and they are so good live..

  • very very cool!!!!!!! from a teenage ukulele player :D

  • @SmileyMikee if that's sarcasm then i think you're wrong there cause i'm 16 and play ukulele and have plenty of other friends my age who do, if it's not then i apolagise for this comment

  • @The9TailedFox100 it wasnt sarcasm. it was a joke and i play ukulele, its a good instrument; i say its the happiest instrument. :) and you dont need to apolagise

  • 3:14 really didn't expect that. Great joke :)

  • Excuse my french but that was Fucking Amazing!

  • how isn't this the first thing that comes up when you search UKULELE!

  • Fun performance. I salute this fine lady for singing this song. I was 11 years old when Teenage Dirtbag got released. It brings back some childhood memories. =)

  • Absolutly incredible

  • WHEATUS WHEATUS WHEATUS

  • not only for the teenage ukulele players... ;)

  • She reminds me of Tim Minchin the way she sings

  • @MrRDub2 Brilliant man.

    You're completely right haha

  • utter genius

  • The correct lyric is "Oh how she rocks, in Keds and tube socks" - Keds being a brand of shoes. Sounds like she is saying "in kit and tube socks" (kit being the British term for gear/uniform). I wouldn't expect anyone not living in America at the time of that song to know that though, but I would've expected this outstanding group to have done their research a bit better :) Oh well, I forgive them :)

  • @Briterican001 They often change the lyrics on purpose for added humour, which is probably what they did here. I suspect they did it to make it sound more British.

  • @athull08 Yeah that makes a lot of sense. "Keds" means nothing to most Brits I know, whereas "kit" in that context they'd understand. What a great bunch of talent these guys are. Wish I could send them a playlist :)

  • I like this version, sad but better.

  • one of the most enjoyable 4mins 27seconds on youtube!

  • @tarcher112000 I second that.

  • Four people have ukuleles up their asses.

  • I love this version. Great job!
