  • I wish that I could turn back time

because now the guilt is all mine

    can't live without

the trust from those you love

I know we can't forget the past

If you believe in that 2012 crap you're nothing but a tool

  • @OfLanceTheLonginus it was a joke also the Mayan calendar ends in 2112 not 2012.

  • @OfLanceTheLonginus

indeed. Its like saying the world will end on december 9999 because most current renderings of the gregorian calendar only use four digits. The Mayans probably didnt use another cycle because it was a waste of writing space to write out another cycle in the full date that wouldnt be used for several thousand years, the exact same reason why we don't write this year as 02012.

  • @alphamone

    Finally someone remotely intelligent,

    agreed my friend, agreed

  • It seems all those angels that get kicked by Shinji watched this. ( i think there was 15 of them)

  • every one turned in to LcL the liquid soup of life.

    >its a good thing god damnit........

  • Mediafire's gonna go now.

IT'S TUMBLING DOWN, TUMBLING DOWN, TUMBLING DOOOOOOOOWN

  • AND THEN THEY DIED.

    THE END.

  • lol i have to admin i fucking laughed whene veryone exploded to orange juice but it was also really sad.

  • I'm having a hard time finding any relation to Bach's composition. I clicked on this, and thought, "Oh sweet. A pop rendition, possibly with singing." Nope. Chuck Testa.

  • @TheTopLogician

Back to 4chan with the likes of you

  • I always laugh so hard when i imagine people (That are not german) trying to pronounce the title

Love the anime btw also when i hate the ending

  • 0:26 magypsy?

  • The End of Internets

  • @OmegaSephiroth end of internets? but how

  • Internet's Theme song when SOPA passes.

  • Listening to this while drinking some Sunny D...bad idea...

    and Yummy Tang people! :D

  • @toofuairi "Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye!"

  • i could never listen from around 6:07 to the end without feeling like i'll go insane.

  • God's in his heaven. All is right with the world.

  • I'm going to play this song when the world ends. I'll repent, confess and pray, so I can be with Him.

  • imma play this if the world is gonna end at least im happy

  • It was kind of a weird moment when I realized this song was about crippling depression and finding joy in suicide.

  • Best song for a funeral ever, or would that be eva?

  • While the God-Emperor of Man wakes up and destroys the screwed-up galaxy that is Warhammer 40,000.

  • This song is adorable. I listen to it every morning.

  • @BattyBitz, :P

  • wow the end of thie song really devolves alot.... Anyone ever seen Suicide Mouse?

  • My mind was raped with this song

  • David Uzumeri of Comics Alliance summarized the film as "a dark, brutal, psychedelic orgy of sex and violence that culminated in the mass extinction of humanity set to an optimistic J-pop song with lyrics about suicide." - nuff said.

  • @animext

    I agree with nuff

  • This song is soo upbeat!! I love it!! Despite all the suicidal lyrics the fact its shown and then blown away by all the happiness in the end is what makes me soooo happy :3

  • "The last party. For the world." Believe that's how she's put it. Good times for all.who have loved ones. Mostly all. Being in the arms of someone special, even if they died already, is less unpleasant than it could be. Follow the flow into true unity? Break from the flow and be yourself? Both are a path open to you. Both are a path Shinji could have chosen. The choice is yours, but the decision? That was now. Komm, susser tod...

  • Then suddenly everyone was jelly as fuck

  • @mcSnoski I know I was jelly

  • Am I the only one getting a Hey Jude Vibe at the end there?

  • ...Fascinating viewpoints, from both of you.

  • Wow. Hearing the song in English is...all KINDS of jarring. 0_o

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg How do you even remember your username?! >-<

  • And then everyone just turned into orange juice

  • @xabierXY I thought it was Jack Daniels OLD No.7? : I

  • @xabierXY Tropicana did sponsor the End Of Evangelion right?

  • @xabierXY Tanged

  • I love this song, love it.

  • I am Seele. My organization seeks to unite all together as it grows. I can tell you don't like my inspirations cause, so I ask, if everyone remained a separate entity with their own personality and body, but were interconnected by a bond of complete empathy with the rest of the world, would it still be bad?

  • @Seele So you're saying instrumentality will create a bond of complete empathy? That seems like a reasonable way to end suffering, people who hated each other would realize that they hated each other, how much it hurts the other to be hated, and subsequently stop hating each other. Would instrumentality end hate, and create an environment of universal love? Would this end suffering? What about aspirations and ambitions, would we still have/need those, as they are usually relative to others?

  • Comment removed

  • @OrderOfInsects Instrumentality will unite all minds and make them think as one thus neutralizing their AT field or "soul"

  • @isawrluna I think what you described is how instrumentality should work in theory, but the way it's ultimately depicted at the end of the movie suggests otherwise, specifically, the minds of Shinji, Asuka, Misato and Rei yelling at each other. That implies maintaining a sense of self, to the point that Shinji could leave whenever he wanted, which he ultimately does. I find the instrumentality as shown in the movie to be a rather disagreeable sort of environment to be in.

  • Here's a question that might say something about oneself: if the choice was your and yours alone, would you initiate Human Instrumentality?

  • @MageinMead Most definitely.

  • @TommyTonsuls why? just wondering, if you don't mind my asking...

anyway, thinking it over, whether Instrumentality is ultimately a good or bad thing, the merging process would not be pleasant

  • @MageinMead The belief that instrumentality will end human suffering is based on the assumption that loneliness is the only cause of suffering, which it is my opinion that it is not. Even if it were the only cause, we can't be reunited with those whao are long since dead, whose souls were not harvested by Lilith, nor were inserted into Eva 01 (like Yui). And the hedghog's dilemma is painful as it applies to those we love, but what about merging with those we hate?

  • @MageinMead

yeah, that's really the heart of the series.

would you accept the thoughts and feelings of other people for what they are? or would you see them from your point of view alone? would you be able to live with hearing other people call you a good-for-nothing and confront them and change their thoughts and feelings towards you or would rather just ignore them and live with the shame?

I think the series really tries to help us live with empathic/telepathic capabilities and accept them.

  • wa... was zum? wieso ist der titel von dem lied deutsch?

  • It sounds like a chorus of angels celebrating the rebirth of humanity/mourning the end of world.

  • such a beautiful and unique song, not sure if this movie deserved it.

  • I wishhhhh, THAT I COULD TURN BACK TIME

  • @Dan1104xv I love the harmonies on that line...

  • I think if someone had stolen all the music of Evangelion and used it in a big budget Hollywood movie, the music would then be nominated for an Academy Award. I'm not kidding.

  • @greynexus Probably. Shiro Sagisu is an amazing composer.

  • I found this song hard to listen to sometimes because its like facing my negative thoughts and realizing all I've done, but it also makes me want to do things better and change what I can, because I know I can!

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg What a fag

  • @theguytm me ? hahahahaha, let me tell you your more of a fag you weak pussy, you think your better or stronger for neglecting your feelings and not admitting you ever felt down or sad?, for negating you ever cried about something? that's pathetic I found it more coward, and that's one of the points of the series and this song, if you don't realize it you just didn't got a think!

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg See, HERE is where you went wrong.

Don't feed the trolls. The more you feed it, the stronger it gets.

  • @hotelmario510 LOL he's a bored man I had fun as well

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg really? cuz it just makes me want to kill myself. in fact, the more i listen to this song, the more appealing that train of thought becomes, and i fucking love this song.

  • @MrGatsuga well of course it's a depresive song but you shouldn't take it all literal, (if you do you for SURE didn't got anything from evangelion) it's easy to lay down and ruin your life by dong nothing b ut complaning about how your life is hard and shit (like everyone) it's hard to relly work and make your life something to fight for, it depends on you!

  • @MrGatsuga The original lyric to this song was "let's all return to nothing" so it is kind of a suicide song in nature.

  • @Yamikaiba123 Very interesting. Thank you.

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg Stop fooling yourself, you know you can't. YOU CAN'T!

  • @TheDeatharcana Hahaha Fudge you... you know even if it's trolling, it's these kind of things that give me the power to continue. So that when I end and succeed I can look at you and say " I made it... boil in rage" :P!

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg I failed... I hate myself now! NOOOOOOOOES D=

  • @TheDeatharcana lol man you made my day! xD

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg lmao, I'm glad that I managed to do such a thing xP

  • second impact never happen :(

  • The most cheerful song you'll ever hear about suicide. With that I remember going to an anime con after seeing EoE and seeing a girl dressed as Rei holding up a "free hugs" sign and drinking tang. Yo could tell who the eva fans were by the reactions. hilarious

  • @Gesicht2Gesicht "drinking" Tang? *shudders* I'm having a Soylent Green flashback.

  • this song is pretty harmless by itself, but combined with EoE footage it's infinitely creepy

  • @knuckztve Agreed!

  • 1st impact = the big bang, 2nd Impact = 2012?

  • @ChicagoMonsterPunk First Impact was the collision that created the Moon (explain that to Bill O'Reilly), the Second Impact hasn't happened yet...funnily enough, the "Second Impact" was not actually an "Impact", per se, more like, "God Unleashing His Wrath".

  • God I can't listen to this song without thinking of tang.

  • @Lightspeeds what is tang?

  • @SoleCitizen33 Orange Juice.

  • @SoleCitizen33 OJ or Fanta

  • TUMBLING DOWN TUMBLING DOWN TUMBLING DOWN

  • I just got raped by a movie.

  • This song is perfect for EoE ^^

  • Absolutely hysterical song. The way it's used.

End of Evangelion was fucking tripping balls though. Totally broke the 4th wall, and this sequence. Not to mention well the breaking of the Absolute Terror Fields. Jesus. That really is cinematic quality in Rare form.

  • @shienuchiha1 lol, i don't belive in any of those, i only belive in Rei !!!!

  • @v2099 wtf which one?!!

  • @R1ckr011 all 3

  • @v2099 ummmm you know there was like 500 Rei's though...

  • @R1ckr011 the other "rei's" were just bodies. they didn't have souls, as mentioned in the anime. the 1st ray was killed by magi's creator, 2nd sacrificed herself and the 3rd joined with the angel Adam

  • @snowballeffect rei*... lol.

  • @snowballeffect @v2099 Right; only the 1st had a soul (please do not ever confuse "consciousness" with a "soul" ever again). So they are all more or less on equal footing. And the 1st Rei is really hardly any better than the subsequent "dummy" Rei's if you consider it. Especially how she handles the Mrs. Ritsuko Sr. situation.... that was, pretty fucked up lol. But par for the course i guess.

  • @R1ckr011 oh u included those in the tanks and dummy system? but those had no conciousness

  • @v2099 define consciousness >_>

I think Ritsuko has no consciousness either. I mean, she has only an eighth more personality than Rei.

  • Man, this is so beautifully sad.

  • 2nd impact is year 2015, the mayans predicted the world will end 2012

  • @v2099 Actually it was on September 13th 2000.

  • that song is beatifull ^_^

  • sep se

  • I absolutely love End of Evangelion. The scene with this song playing is the only scene that's actually made me feel sick by watching something. All them people dying and being turned into LCL. This song just made it more disturbing than it already was.

  • @Stiglitz51 I found it frightening at first, then morbidly fascinating. What really got me was that horrible noise as people turned back into LCL. It was like listening to a water balloon bursting. *shudders* And the screams! Jesus Christ, the screams.

  • @hotelmario510 Yea I know. btw don't know if you know this but this is like the second time I've got a reply on something from you lol. The other one being about how Gendo and Fuyutski were badasses.

  • Comment removed

  • @Stiglitz51 Oh yeah! Those were good times. Good times.

  • 5:49 Orgasm?

  • @xxcurnuxx people dying, actually..

  • @madchocobo12

The Third Impact is the event that happened in End of Evangelion, while this song was playing.

  • WHY DO I COME BACK LISTENENING TO THIS SONG! Its so creepy but its so good. D:

  • MOST. DISTURBING. ANIMÉ. MOMENT. EVER.

  • 11 personas que no poseen gusto musical :/

  • Why was everyone getting excited for Third Impact? Second Impact hasn't even happened yet!

  • @hotelmario510 Well technically it's "the continuation of second impact"

  • @hotelmario510 That happened in the year 2000.

  • @xxcurnuxx Wh-when?! I don't remember this!

  • Comment removed

  • @xxcurnuxx You mean the Second Impact was a digital thing?

Man, Adam sucks in the real world.

  • @hotelmario510 And First Impact?

  • @hotelmario510 As far as I understand the Second Impact occured in 2000. To me it's unknown when the First Impact happened.

  • @MartinIrma im pretty sure the first impact was during the jurassic era when the asteroid hit the planet

  • @hotelmario510 I'm Excited because I just saw you can not advance :D!

  • @hotelmario510 Dude, yours may be one of the best playlists out there (Emergency Apocalypse Playlist, I mean). Congratulations on an excellent job.

  • @StrikaAmaru Oh, well thank you. What can I say? I was bored on the 21st of May.

  • @hotelmario510 Troll answer: Second Impact was 9/11.

  • @YamiAura *checks date*

Holy shit. It's only a year and a couple of days out as well...Damn, Eva, you scary.

  • @hotelmario510 Evangelion is an alternate universe that's a year and a couple days behind.

  • @YamiAura Yeah, but the explosion happened in Antarctica...SHARON! I'M SO CONFUUUSED!

  • @hotelmario510 Second Impact happened where Adam was sleeping.

Cloverfield happened where the Coverfield monster had been sleeping (New York City)

The Cloverfield monster is basically an Angel, and has children, just like Adam.

  • @YamiAura THREE Seeds of Life hit the Earth?! The chances of that happening are like several billion to one against...! FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-

  • @hotelmario510 No, no, no, no. Alternate universes.

  • @YamiAura MY BRAIN.

  • @hotelmario510 And then Giant Naked Madoka made everyone into a Witch.

  • @YamiAura You know, I think Arael has a job opening for an apprentice. You'd be good for that. He wants people who are good at mind-raping people. Hideaki Anno already signed up.

  • @hotelmario510

    A) Second Impact happened before Evangelion began.

    B) This song plays while Third Impact is happening.

    C) The end of humanity's inherent "hedgehog's dilemna" seems like a reason for happiness to me.

Bonus) The song is so happy and suicidal because suicidal depressed people often get happier upon deciding to kill themselves. It's a way to end the pain they feel. A popular way.

  • @SodsBlade Yes, but the end of the hedgehog's dilemma also means a neutral and utterly boring eternal existence within Lilith. Being separate gives us individuality. Without it, we mean nothing.

  • @hotelmario510 Without sadness we do not know happiness, without hate we do not know love. They are completely reliant on one another in every sense.

And I believe the original of this song was composed by a composer at his death bed, the name of which I cannot remember.

  • @PeopleR2sensitive Yes, there was a song called "Komm, süßer Tod", but the original is not related, musically speaking, to the Evangelion version.

As for Instrumentality, Shinji does actually learn at the end of the film it's better to face pain and know the blissful absence of it than to spend an eternity without it. Of course, he does then spend what looks like some time alone (the nail he used on Misato's pendant is rusty), and eventually goes insane...

    Yep. That'e Evangelion for ya.

  • @hotelmario510 Or hasn't it?

  • @SchizoFilms I can confirm that Antarctica is still there, because there was no news about it, and, you know, Google Maps. Perhaps the Second Impact was, in fact, the technological revolution of the late 90's to the mid-00's...oh now look, you've made me go all "Lain" on everyone.

  • @hotelmario510 And yet, the internet still lays the foundation for some version of Instrumentality. Odd how our computers can be the Angels, isn't it?

  • @SchizoFilms Yes...scary, isn't it. Seamless communication of secrets, thoughts and ideas within seconds, all without even having to leave your seat...or abandon your body, for that matter. Anyone could know anything about you, potentially...and you might not even know. Humans might not have created something as powerful as the fictional Evangelion, but they have, somehow, created something resembling an Angel. Chilling.

  • @hotelmario510 We, the Lillin, are coming closer to that instrumentality when all our minds reunite in one form, for all eternity. Thinking about it, it seems we may be pushing it a step further than Evangelion. We're creating an Angel with all our knowledge, while retaining our original, separate form. Does that then mean the 18th Angel has given birth to the 19th, as the 2nd sired it?

  • @SchizoFilms Oh. My. God. We've stumbled on something here.

(Does anybody have some Dead Sea Scrolls lying around so I can give them a read through?)

  • @hotelmario510 I shall have to contemplate this heavily.

  • @SchizoFilms I too, shall do the same. *assumes "Thinker" pose*

  • I'm gunna laugh at all you guys when 3rd impact doesn't happen! lololololol

  • Imma play this the 12/12/2012.

If nothing happens, I promise to fap to an image of Shinji in a dress for the 3 next hours.

  • @eleone8 Actually it's 12/21/12, you get another 9 days to hold off masturbating to a guy in a dress.

  • @eleone8 It's 12/21/2012. Not 12/12/2012.

  • @eleone8 That's my birthday.

What's the significance on 12/12/2012 specifically?

  • @eleone8 Better get a hold of a dress.

  • @eleone8 what, you don't do that already?

  • @starOutcast Nope. I do it with Kaworu, not Shinji.

  • Comment removed

  • @eleone8 you better keep your promise... also tape it and upload it to youtube :D

  • @fsfsfsfsfsfsg lololololololololol
