@jontehockey33 Try thor, marine, banshee. Banshees do so much more damage vs colossi than vikings, and they destroy immortals more quickly than attacking after EMP. But yeah, ghosts help vs templar. And thor energy actually generates rather quickly.

@badassnewbie the reason he strike cannoned the real immortals is because he had stealth detection. Not only did he scan at the perfect time to see the hallucination happen, but he also had a raven. He knew EXACTLY which immortals were hallucinated. ThorZaIN is great, and that's why he won the tsl and is heading to Korea.

Why didn't mc go mass stalkers/collosus,the combo can beat almost everything terran has.Also why make immortals when good amount of collosus can do a better job against armored and light units alike.

Collosus move fast,have a range of 9 and can easily avoid the 250mm cannons,AOEing everything, meanwhile stalkers can focus fire on vikings and thors.

Collosus death balls will almost always do better than a ball with immortals. Immortals can be countered by EMP, Collosus not.Care of collosus to avoid 250mm as much as possible and you will always do better than having immortals.

What Toss QQers don't realize.. are how good upgrades are 2 armor Thors can take so much damage.. All it would have taken is for MC to get better upgrades.. and more immortals. Even with the strike cannon if you have immortals dealing out that much damage it will take down the thors if you have more immortals than there is thors.MC rolled out with like 2 real immortals.. 2 collossus that got focused down by the vikings. Less gateway units.. more immortals, and better upgrades which mc sucks at.

Thorzain was (is) in my mind the best human wc3 players of the 2010. Sky would be up there too. I have watched every human replay that came onto wcreplays for a few years, I can tell you. Thorzain was a VERY well known and VERY respected. Grubby + Moon + Happy, Thorzain has beaten them all from time to time. His style was very similar to his sc2 style too. Winning the ESL Viking Cup and the Dreamhack qualifier is nothing? Considering that he was playing WC3 and SC2 in parallel until he switched to Praetoriani, it's not surprising that he's won no major tournaments since he never participated in anything beyond ESL. Being unknown is not the same as being a nobody. Anyone who knows the international SC2 scene well knows Thorzain's TvP was godly prior to TSL3 and wouldn't have been suprised at Kas vs Nada, Naniwa's success at MLG, etc.

Thors and Ghosts are the reason why I am nowadays terrified of even mediocre endgame Terrans as Protoss. The just feel too easy to use effectively. @etham3 This point is debatable. Some say that it is better to have zealots stream and some think they should be farther forward to soak the dps. The main job of chargelots lategame is not to provide dps for your army, but to soak damage, which was done by the fake immortals. While the micro may not have been optimal, the outcome would have mostly likely been the same.
