Thanks for uploading. When I listen to this part of the conversation, it is clear that the government has no choice but to make sure no LTTE cadres escaping with civilians. We can talk and argue months, but end of the day the government will face the music on its mistakes in dealing with IDPs. I dont think anyone who respects human dignity wants to see these IDP camps, but realistically government dont have many choices left either.

Frankmen3, thanks. agree. there are security issues to keep IDPs under watch. they must be screened and pick all LTTE men and rehabilitate or arrest them. government has to make sure Tamils also have some representation in the working committee, cant only be sinhalese. if it is true. standards can be better if other governments help. Tamil Diaspora can help. But they all have looked away and ignored Tamil IDPs. SL government does its best for IDPs in difficult circumstances. I think
