  • T-bolt slipped up and mentioned Jimmy Hart leaving for the WWF.

  • Damn Wahoo was badass!!!!

  • T-bolt 4:15 "You got a problem, but I will woop your oooooooo"....."oooooo"....."ooooooo". C'mon Man!!! Put a complete thought together and then back it up. Don't "I want you people to write in....." Pathetic! Can I apologize to Gordon's family 17 years too late that he had to endure this guy.

  • Wow didn't expect the chief 2 chop garvin!!! But,hey, they been doggin the Indian 4 title shots 4 years. That's right chief, kill whitey!!!!!!

  • Patterson been having a "straneous" workout! HAHAHAHA

  • Ox Baker and his epic eyebrows.

  • Thunderbolt is wearing a leather three piece suit. Nice.

  • haha! ""I'm full Gordon...I'm full" .... yeah his hair is full of jerry curl

  • You have to love Gordon Solie who always played the stoic, straight mna to all the craziness around him.

Still I think that Wahoo surprize attack on Garvin would have come off much better had Gordeon showed a little bit more shock & emotion in his reaction.

Rip Gordon Solie & Wahoo McDaniel.

  • Poor Gordon. Having to put a mic in front of Thunderbolt.

  • I want a three piece leather suit too.

  • even by today's standards, Wahoo would be considered the best. no one today can match his toughness or energy.

  • He was already a heel in Mid Atlantic

  • I think Wahoo was one of the few wrestlers who was good either as a heel or face. He was truly one of the best. I for one miss Wahoo Mcdaniel.

  • @Hardeen31 I was fortuante enough to meet Wahoo in Belvedere,SC in 1995 at an indy show. What a great guy.

  • "All I've done is make the Indian a first class citizen."

  • Comment removed

  • Was Wahoo splitting his time between Mid Atlantic and Georgia at this time?

  • @phi1166 yes

  • @phi1166

lot of working agreements between Ole's GCW, JCP, Memphis and some others after Black saturday. Wahoo, Boogie Man other JCP stars would show up on TBS, garvin etc would make it over to JCP/Mid Atlantic. Kind of a hodge podge.

  • wheres staubuck

  • Gordon's hand got Tomahawked 1:04 LMAO

  • Rufus R. "Freight Train" Jones! That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.

  • Rufus R. (boogaloo) "Freight Train" Jones....... those were the days man.

  • THE GREATEST: WAHOO

  • I love when good guys turn bad!

  • jimmy hart fucked wrestling all up...thats when it got stupid

  • TBP you should just cuss instead of looking like a dumbass. nice eyes. what are you looking at

  • Hands of Paper lol. Classic

  • None better thaan Wahoo. I was fortunate to met him in Belvedere,SC in 1994 on indy show.

  • I keep hearing people say that Dusty stole his gimmick from T-Bolt Patterson. While that is true, Dusty definately improved on the character. T-Bolt played the "fucky soul brother" character but was terrible on the mic, any promo I have seen of his he is almost intelligable. Dusty was much better in the ring as well.

  • thunderbolt was the original, dusty the improvement.. kinda like "superstar" and the "hulkster".

  • I was surprized to see Wahoo attack Ron Garvin. I did'nt see that one coming.

  • thunderbolt lost a few jobs due to "on air verbal color" the legends say. wahoo did the best heel turn i've seen in 20 years.

  • I spent a lot of Saturday afternoons watching Wahoo wrestle on TV when I was a kid...he is sorely missed...a hell of a true talent

  • Many a Saturday afternoon was spent watching Wahoo wrestle when I was a kid...even his later heel days were a joy...you are missed Wahoo...

  • Thunderbolt Patterson looks a little like M.V.P mix with Little Richard.

  • That was an awesome turn

  • R.I.P. Squaw-hoo!

  • Wow. I've NEVER seen Wahoo as a heel. Bizarre!

  • Close your eyes and listen and it sounds like Dusty, but of course Thunderbolt was the the original!

  • T Bolt was certainly one of a kind...And apparently full lol

  • Classic Heal Turn

  • Dusty Rhodes saw T-Bolt in the late 60s when they both wrestled for the Sheik and stole his entire gimmick. Dusty became one of the biggest stars in the business acting like a black man and T-Bolt, a black man, really didn't get to do anything. Some of what he said here must be shooting.

  • Dusty Rhodes was one of the biggest criminals in wrestling. He's dishonest and a backstabber. He stole Thunderbolt Pattersons whole persona. It's well know in the industry that Rhodes told promoters they didn't need to hire black wrestlers because they had him. He also tried his best to sabotage Ric Flair on many occasions out of jealousy and they were suppossed to be friends. Rhodes made a hell of a lot of money stealing from people like Patterson, Flair and Superstar Billy Graham.

  • Wahoo often stiffed guys in the ring. he was an asshole in real life, and people didn't trust him with their bodies.

  • Thunderbolt is the shit lol i love the leather suit. he looks like one of my uncles

  • careful whooo

  • Wahoo was very notouious for turning like that.

  • Wahoo only turned heel once & it was very late in his career.

  • Bro, Wahoo turned heel more than once...and it was great for business.

  • Is Thunderbolt Patterson on crack?

  • thunderbolt was high

  • Thunderbolt was trying to sound like a baptist preacher! That was his shtick!

  • I love how Solie is trying to get rid of him at the end. He seems geniunely frustrated.

  • We're hoping to recapture the magic that days like this brought to the wrestling fans and to television viewers sooner than later.

  • Ox Baker was one BAD DUDE!!!

  • Patterson was acting like and evangalist. LOL!

  • Watching T-Bolt try to keep it together was funny enough! LORL!!!!

  • That is one cock-eyed negro!

  • Deano714:

Why don't you take your racist attitude back to the trailor park and leave this post for wrestling fans who want to post intelligent comments.

  • I think the last guy was about to do a load in there.

I wonder who was that bald dude with the long mustache?

  • That was Ox Baker. In 1972, Ray Gunkel, who ran GCW, died of a ruptured aorta after wrestling Baker in Savannah.

  • Patterson was referring to the racism that went on in GCW. He and Tony Atlas never won the NWA tag belts from Gene & Ole Anderson, because he alleged that the promoters didn't want blacks as champions. He would win the Georgia TV & tag team belts with Tommy Rich, though.

  • Flair got his chop from Wahoo.

  • Ye good folks arrrrre exac'y right, there, wrestlin' has gon th' way o' th' las' Chinese meal I ate- right down th' toilet!

  • This stuff is great but makes me sad at the same time b/c i cant understand what has happened to the current wrestling on tv.

Guys today cant sell, cant do run ins right even their punches look like shit.

  • Bobby Heenan said it best, wrestling will never be like it was because the magic is gone.

  • This is awesome, I remember watching it also. It was when the WWF bought WCW's air time and the WCW name. Vince guarenteed Ted a locally produced show but aired MSG Tapes. Ted then gave Gordon Solie and NWA wrestling a 9 am Saturday show which contained the NWA WCW stars. Vince got pissed because he wa guarenteed no other wrestling would be on. That started the Ted/Vince wrestling feud. Shortly later needing quick cash, Vince sold WCW to Crocket NWA and this show ended but WCW was NWA.

  • thunderbolt looked like he reaaally needed to go to a restroom

  • Tim58hsv: You are the Bomb! I was living in columbus Georgia back when this was the

    she-zee!

  • Funny seeing garvin,with A mullet.I'm used to see him having A spike/flat top?Like in the wwf.

  • i reberm that

  • aughyeah big daddy....lay em out...

  • Gordon Soulie was the absolute greatest.

  • You know what? I remember when that happened! DAMN....Has it really been that long ago?

  • Great angle. I even vaguely remember this...

  • Wahoo was awesome as a heel. Most heels lose to faces. Wahoo, Ted DiBiase, are few other heels that could back it up and dish it out. Wahoo didn't give anybody an easy time. I miss those days!

  • Wahoo McDaniel was awesome... RIP Wahoo

  • Thunderbolt was terrible on the mic

  • Actually, Dusty took a LOT from T-Bolt! Patterson's schtick was that he talked with the cadence of a preacher!

  • yeah i wish wwe creative would take notes since then have all of the library from georgia you think they could look at it

  • If any bookers is watching this take notes how a angle should be done.

  • Apparently this clip coincided with Wahoo's heel turn in the Mid-Atlantic.

  • What channel was this recorded from?

  • WTBS. It was their saturday morning show which aired after mcmahom took over the 6:05pm timeslot on TBS.

  • I've said this time and time again. This great classic NWA footage is from the mid 1980's and IT STILL IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING THE WWE PUTS OUT TODAY!

  • fuck yeah

  • if anyone has anymore classic thunderbolt patterson, tommy rich, wrestling 2, tony atlas; basically some more classic georgia championship wrestling please inform me.

  • you damn right

  • year anyone?

  • Oct/nov 1984

  • Classic T-Bolt. I wonder what he is doing today????

  • T-Bolt runs a home for troubled boys.

  • This was during the time when WWE(F)had the Saturday night time, right? Great sucker punch/chop by McDaniel. Any Long Rider footage? They were always one of my favorites and underrated teams I've seen.
