Is this an alternate ending to the series, different from the Tranquility base ending of "Out town"? My favorite show of all time, I was laid-up after having back Surgery in the winter of 95 and looked forward to NX every week, it saved me!!

It emphasized our common humanity, heritage and culture (an understanding now missing in action in America) and the need to respect the beauty and often fearful powers of nature. It's characters were unique and all different, yet Cicely remains "our town" in its own singular way.

Thanks viands for posting this one and the other NX episode endings you've put here. It's nice to hear some of the original music (not like many of the DVDs). It's hard to believe so many folks don't know about Northern Exposure -- but TV historians will inevitably record this as one of the most intelligent and creative shows ever.
