I got Mr. Deshowitz book "The case for Israel" because im a christian and been a big supporter of Israel for years. Then i saw this and his book on christians in America and I was stunned. Im throwing his book in the trash. Mike Huckabee is a great man and knows what he is talking about. Will no longer support Alan.
Just to let you all know that Alan Dershowitz is strongly against the Second Amendment to the Constitution and is against civilian gun ownership as well. Alan Dershowitz wants to get rid of the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
@souljulez despite having blood on this hands, the grand mufti al Husseini did not stop there. It is a well known fact that he aligned himself with the Nazi party and even met Hitler personally to discuss the possibility of employing the same methods of exterminating Jews in Palestine. There are B&W photographs of the two leaders meeting. The grand mufti had the support of the Palestinian people at the time.
Alan Dershowitz is wrong when saying it was the Christians who moved the Sabbath from Saturday to sunday, when it was not the Christians at all who did this. It was the Pagans in the Roman Catholic Church who did this to win over pagans to Roman Catholicism. The Roman Catholic Church persecuted, tortured Jews, True Christians (those who trully followed the teachings of God) and the Muslims because they refused to convert and worship the pope as a god.
@souljulez lol hardly, Jews and Arabs did not live peacefully together. Grand mufti al Husseini - a notable anti semitic and appointed by the British- led a riot which resulted in massive and very violent clash between the Jews and the Arabs - 135 Jews died and about 240 were wounded. The Arabs experienced heavy casualties on their side as well. This was in the 1920s. There are other examples.
@drpiddleton Of course. Israel wouldn't get away with what they do if it weren't for the support from the US. I oppose injustice anywhere, even injustice committed by my own country.
@souljulez [continued] ...not accurate to say "occupied land", its more complicated. jerusalem has thousands of yrs of jewish history. east jerusalem as occupied land is from palestinians' rewriting history beginning it from '67. the 9000 jews of gaza were forcefully removed by israel, also lebanon &sinai. the claim of jews to these areas goes back thousands of yrs (just like the arabs). those communities destroyed by jordan in war of independence &only now jews return to the area (after '67).
@oc00011 Jews and Arabs lived peacefully in unincorporated Palestine for centuries before the 1940s. Then the Zionists ethnically cleansed the region, killing many, exiling most, and keeping the remaining people in an apartheid-state where they have no right of movement, defense, or self-determination. If that isn't "occupied," I don't know what is.
@souljulez jews & arabs didn't live in peace in the region, save for a few short phases in history. the (majority of) zionists Didn't ethnically cleanse or steal arabs land / force exile. there's no apartheid. the palestinians weren't refused self-determination by israel or by the international powers. every single thing here stated is refutation of the MYTHS u wrote. trust me, i don't say this lightly. if u want to learn why i say this, i can send u sources 4 u to analyse critically&neutrally.
@oc00011 Riiiight, so the Arabs left their ancestral home completely willingly and happily, the Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza have exactly the same legal status as Jewish Israelis, and they are free to start their own country anytime they want...is that what you're saying? What universe do you live in? Why don't you take a drive through Gaza and take a look at the rubble?
@souljulez ur last question was silly- Y don't u take a drive through sderot (israel) & take a look at the schools made to rubble? no, the arabs left largely bcoz of pressure from the arab authorities to do so e.g. the 'high committee'. many left to work on thriving industries in nearby places, many given huge sums of money for their land by jews (which even this was rare, & even prohibited as said by ben gurion at the time). they were offered palestinian state in 1947, '93, '99, '00-01, '07 etc
@souljulez [continued] ..lastly, in addition to my last 2 responses to u here below, i'd like to say that not only do arabs in israel enjoy more rights than they would do in Any Arab Country, including equal rights to education, health care & voting, also absolute freedom of religion and of expression. not only this, but the standard of living in gaza is mostly because of the tyranny of the people they elected (no longer democratic of course) - hamas! please realize this fact.
@oc00011 - Dershowitz cares nothing about the human rights of Palestinians and Arabs when it comes to Israel. In 2006 he said that all Lebanese civilians are legitimate targets of the Israeli military. When Israel was bombing the fuck out of Gaza he had the audacity to declare that Israel never targets civilians. He thinks the ratio of Palestinian deaths to israeli deaths should be 1000 to 1 or 1000 to 0. He's a douchebag.
@souljulez look up what he actually said instead of Completely Fabricating some half-remembered quote. he said proudly that israel's achieved the best ratio of terrorist-to-civilian casualties in the entire history of warfare! which was 29 terrorists for every 1 civilian by the way. & he also said that its not good enough, which is why israel still invests a lot on improving this. of course israel doesn't Target civilians! please tell me ur not serious. find me the "2006" quote, coz that's BS.
@oc00011 On the Lebanese war, Dershowitz wrote: "Hezbollah and Hamas militants… are difficult to distinguish from those ‘civilians’ who recruit, finance, harbor and facilitate their terrorism. Nor can women and children always be counted as civilians, as some organizations do. Terrorists increasingly use women and teenagers to play important roles in their attacks." (LA Times, July 2006) He also thinks voting for Hezbollah makes one a legitimate target. Now, THAT'S BS.
@souljulez did u read my sources yet or not? if u did, what's ur reflection on the facts written? do u acknowledge that israel spends an absolute fortune on minimising civilian casualties in war, & that the PA do no such thing (they deliberately target the most dense populations of civilians they can find)? if u don't acknowledge this, wud u like more sources on the matter, as a 'free thinker'? i suggest u watch as many vids as u can from mbrown0315 on youtube, more detail than in comment box.
@oc00011 I don't doubt that the IDF spent a lot of money to improve weapons accuracy but that means absolutely nothing to the thousands of Palestinians who were slaughtered. BTW I find ur characterization of the PA curious - "they deliberately target the most dense populations of civilians they can find" - when this is EXACTLY what the IDF did to Gaza in 2009. They used phosphorus bombs and other weapons on a city of a million, and currently treat the Palestinians like caged animals.
@souljulez all u wrote just shows me very Clearly that u do not know the ABCs of this topic, u r quite literally as ignorant as the vast majority of people, on this topic. u have no idea how palestinians are treated by israelis, u have no idea how israelis are treated by palestinians, u have no idea what was going on with the phosphorus, u don't know to what extent either side strive for humanitarian ideals. worst of all, u don't even check sources offered to u. again, study on YT: mbrown0315
@oc00011 I checked your sources - that mbrown0315 guy says nothing to dispute the specific points I made. The brute fact of the thousands of Palestinian deaths defeats any claim about the IDF minimizing casualties - I don't doubt they have, but obviously they haven't done enough. You think 1400 Palestinian deaths - mostly non-combatants - is an acceptable result? And this is setting aside the whole question of why Hamas launched rockets in the first place. END THE OCCUPATION NOW
@souljulez u have quite a limit in ur ability to think if u can't get passed the difference in numbers & see the bigger picture. what do israel AND the ***PA*** do to minimize civilian casualties. what are the motives, and methods & strategies. what do both sides teach in their schools to their children, & what do they show on the media. WHY has so many been killed, is it deliberate by israel (of course fucking Not), or by PA (yes!!!!!) & what can be done about it ON BOTH SIDES (not just 1).
@oc00011 Of course the PA should minimze casualties too, but if you think that the weapons and resources of both sides are comparable, you're CRAZY. When one side has the overwhelming military advantage they have more responsibility to protect civilians, especially when they are targeting an area that they KNOW is densely packed with non-combatants. That is a deliberate action by the IDF (and I'm not excusing the Palestinians from blame, either).
@souljulez its been proven there was a never deliberate IDF action against civilians in war. its not only been proven by the antisemitic, corrupt, & anti-israel "UN", but also by the ferociously antisemitic & anti-israel "richard goldstone", who wrote an op-ed apologising for the fabrications he wrote in his earlier report, & concluded israel Never deliberately attacked civilians, & did everything possible to ensure civilian safety (not an easy task). i'm glad u put effort in being balanced.
@oc00011 The Goldstone and UN reports never said Israel did "everything" possible to ensure civilian safety, only that targeting civilians wasn't official policy - which is a half-assed way of saying "we never thought dropping mortars and phosphorus on densely-populated areas would've actually killed civilians." How disingenuous is that? And if you're one of those who say "anyone who criticizes Israel is anti-semitic" then you are beyond reason.
@souljulez why wud i think criticising israel is antisemitic? that's a huge prejudice on ur part! i criticise my own country, israel, & every other country too. everybody should criticise all governments! what's antisemitic is to do so with **double standards**, demonisation & delegitimisation towards israel. regarding IDF 'official policy' & to what extent its policy is realised in the field, youtube 'richard kemp israel', 1st link on results page. u realize the difference with hamas policy??!
@oc00011 IDF and Hamas are not equal adversaries! You're using Hamas as a standard for Israeli actions in order to prove how much more moral the IDF is, but that standard is so low as to be laughable (and again, I am not defending Hamas). Israel has way more power and thus has way more responsibility. Stop playing the "Well, Hamas didn't do this or that" Card because it has nothing to do with whether Israel's actions are just are not.
@souljulez arabs in israel, not talking about the disputed territories. 7 million ppl from 130 countries, israelis c u as the same whether u look middle-eastern, european, ethiopian, s.american, or chinese. there's been 63 arab members of the knesset, they represent over 10% of total membership. they hav 9 political parties. some arab members went to libya talked to gadafi! 1 was in the flotilla fighting against the country! 1.8 million arab citizens with Full Rights. live there 7 yrs then talk.
@oc00011 Then why aren't Palestinians free to move wherever they want? Why is there a blockade preventing them from receiving construction supplies? Do you honestly think Hamas bombed their own houses? You accuse me of only seeing one side, yet you're so brainwashed you honestly think the Palestinians are happy living the way they are.
@souljulez hamas don't only force their own ppl in their homes while shooting a rocket from that building, to try kill as many civilians as possible from israeli retaliation, but they openly encourage their children to blow themselves up. i wasn't comparing IDF with hamas in the way u sed, that wud be absurd. b4 the blockade there were suicide bombings in israeli schools, school buses, cafes etc everyday, sumtimes 5 a day. after blockade, near ZERO! arabs IN israel r happy. not the 1s led by PA.
@souljulez [continued] ...& in gaza the casualty ratio was 3:2, which even this is approximately 10 times better than the casualty ratio that happened in iraq & afghanistan! yet, israel got it down to 1:29. he's defended palestinian rights for decades! currently he's against the settlement building. he ferociously debated against the real "douchebags" such as kahane. he's advocated Full equal rights for all in israel & advocated pal. self-determination- a future neighbouring palestinian state.
@oc00011 Look up a Youtube video called "Dershowitz The Snake hisses more lies" for the quote. Over 1100 Palestinians were killed in the 2009 Gaza invasion compared to a dozen Israelis (mostly soldiers). Yeah, and dropping phosphorus bombs on one of the most densely populated cities in the world sure isn't targeting civilians. I love your logic.
@souljulez i will look it up thanks. my logic comes from numerical data, approach in warfare, financial&manpower investment in minimizing civilian casualties in war by IDF, & other factual analysis. regarding it still having had many civilian casualties, & the phosphorus incident, please youtube search: 'mbrown0315 phosphorus', 3rd link. its a 2-part video. afterwards get back to me.
@oc00011 - That guy's an articulate speaker, but like many IDF apologists, he downplays the causes of the conflict and chooses to start the debate at "Well, Hamas was launching rockets so we had to defend ourselves." You don't punish an entire population for the acts of a few. That Dershowitz would defend actions like the 2009 Gaza Invasion or the actions against Lebanon in 2006 make him a douchebag.
@souljulez no, not any propaganda office. i thought we're having a dialogue here. it should be clear that i question & passionately try to understand the opposite views of the views i hold, & i analyse every bit of info to see if it is propaganda. so don't do that pathetic shit with me please. i got the casualty ratio data from this source, which u can look up urself: 'the goldstone illusion' (4 the gaza ratio), & 'Pinpoint Attacks on Gaza More Precise, Haaretz, Amos Harel, 30/12/07' (for 1:29)
@oc00011 I was specifically referencing the 2009 Gaza invasion. B'Tselem estimated about 1,387 causualties, Palestinian Center for Human Rights estimated 1,434, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health estimated around 1,500 (so I actually understimated). Only about 200-300 of those deaths are believed to be combatants. Source: BBC. Less than 20 Israelis died during that same time period. This is not moral.
Right Huckster, the Bible shouldn't be amended it should be ridiculed and held in contempt. I think your 10 little rules are patently immoral, including the penalties.
@dwolfcoach i think u should be held in contempt lol. those "10 little rules" include that u shouldn't murder, steal etc. so owe your life to this anthropological root. *some* of the rules are ridiculous of course, therefore they should be *amended*. just as law has been amended only from the recent 1960s to cease considering homosexuals as mentally ill, & only *a few yrs ago* to allow them in the army in the US (which, by the way, happened 10 yrs ago in israel). i'm an atheist zionist jew btw.
@dwolfcoach u seem to have completely missed out my point. *amendments* to the bullshit verses in a book with many incredibly insightful verses, would be better than just shouting at the whole book like an atheist fanatic. (LOL soz, just pictured shouting at a book, quite funny). better to debate than to silently "hold in contempt". better to pick out the gems written in these books than to put the whole book in the bin. i really can't make my point any clearer than this sorry.
@oc00011 No, I don't think I missed your point. It's hard to hear intonation and emphasis in a small post, but I take your point. My retort is leveled at the "absolute" reverence of these 10 "rules". I don't think you're disagreeing either, I do think that almost all of the "insightful" verses are predated in the Analects of Confucius and possibly the bhagavad gita. But I will say that almost anyone in any HS class in America could write a book more meaningful and morally just.
@dwolfcoach even if u could find all the insightful verses of judaism in ancient indian & chinese philosophy books (which u can't, i guarantee) then that means u should look at them with an equally positive (&critical) light as u would do with the bible. have u any idea how much violence & cruelty is in vedic scripture? with these too u need to make ur own personal amendments to their teachings. instead of holding all of them in contempt. i never said u shud be "silent". never be silent.
@oc00011 I never implied that those that predated the Bible were more moral, only that they were most likely plagiarized or "borrowed". As for critiquing them, be assured I have no attachment to any literature other than its coherent logic. Which continues to be my point. But any one could condemn slavery, infanticide, etc. I don't think you're asserting that any of these books were written/inspired by the infallible creator of the universe, are you? So, NO FREE PASS to nonsense-right?
@dwolfcoach 1st of all, everything's "plagiarized" from somewhere else, cultural memory transfered&transformed (several times over) between peoples of the world i.e. memetics. 2nd, yes, no free-pass to nonsense. like i said, concepts that don't add up in the bible/vedic txt/quran etc. i will not adhere to, needless to say. but i'll reiterate, there are concepts within jewish literature that is coherent & logical, & as it happens, core to my identity. but i find inspiration from other cultures 2.
@oc00011 Fair to say we have no conflict. So, hold me in contempt if you see fit. I'm on the Dershowitz side of this one, but none of these ancient texts appeal to me personally. If parts of the Torah blow your skirt up that's fine w/ me, I just won't sit quietly when you or anyone else use it to justify atrocities or stultify children.
@dwolfcoach very strange chain of thought - if (logical) parts of the torah are a major factor in the building blocks of ur identity, i won't be indifferent if u use this to justify atrocities.. ?!?!?? what kind of logic is this? did u hear urself?! its like if i was to say just bcoz u find particularly transforming inspiration in studying the categorical imperative of kantian philosophy... " " "
why shud u think i'm advocating atrocities bcoz i'm an atheist JEW. what an irrational prejudice!
1. What is an atheist Jew? Is a Jew only a cultural term? Sure, then why don't they take a real estate deal in south France? Explain this.
2. Can someone be an atheist Catholic? Why not just an atheist?
3. On the whole the Torah is logical to you, not me.
4. I never said you are advocating atrocities, but closed inquiry in tribal groups is hardly w/o its victims. You might as well be a theist if you defend it.
5. Stop claiming offense, are you guilty of atrocities?
@dwolfcoach 1. too complex for here, so lets say.. yeh, sure why not, the cultural aspect. in any land that is planned to be made a country for making a persecuted people self-determined, there will be natives. luckily, in palestine there were native jews AND arabs, but the zionist vision for coexistence, equality & peace didn't quite work out. 2. ur arrogant. atheist jew, bcoz i'm a jew culturally, i'm inspired by other cultures too, & i'm atheist. deal with it. 3. ur incapable of reason.
@dwolfcoach [continued] ...i NEVER said the torah's logical to me on the whole. read over my past messages if comprehension isn't ur thing. 4. who said its "tribal" u arrogant fuck. being a jew is probably the main reason why i see myself as a "citizen of the world"- every human's my brother, being passionate about travel, philosophies & cultures etc. victims??! u moron!!! 5. again, completely devoid of logic or coherence. get a fucking grip. SHALOM
@oc00011@oc00011 But you, w/ all this tribal nonsense, are capable? Why is there not a 2 state solution? Don't try to sell me your sob story, I won't hear of it. Equality and peace doesn't work out because there are 2 tribal groups w/ completely incompatible claims from ancient texts, and each group thinks their nonsense is morally superior. You are just a coward that can't take a real step and be an atheist. Hold on to your "logical" books, but don't try to sell it to me.Now fuck off!
@dwolfcoach oooo sum1's getting emotional lol. ur arrogant bcoz u think u know what it means the term 'atheist jew'. ur arrogant bcoz u think that someone that gives themselves a "label" automatically distance themselves from anything that's not in their "group"- tribalist. u think ur the almighty in knowledge of how the "2 tribal groups", as u call em, r "incompatible". ur obviously not aware of the numerous coexistence projects existing. ur devoid of logic bcoz ur emotional. now f... reflect.
@oc00011 Label yourself whatever you want, but when every discussion on YT begins and ends w/ oc00011 is right and righteous, as all of your posts demonstrate, that is the tribal nonsense that continues to preclude a solution. So how are your "coexistence projects" working? The slaughter of non combatants in the 21st century in the middle east is "devoid of logic", but rife w/ divisive moral groups. Jews and Arabs are still led by tribal, religious zealots. Now reflect professor!
@dwolfcoach i say i'm "righteous"? i don't remember saying that in any comment, which means u must've written it as rhetoric. nice one. again, "tribal nonsense". i think i made it rather clear that i see myself as a world citizen, from all cultures. but also i'm a jew. the 2 can go hand in hand, i'm living proof, as are millions of others. the coexistence projects are working really well, thanks for ur Genuine Concern. the jewish state is secular, read a book. ur very ignorant on this topic
@oc00011 Ha, oc the great uniter. What a joke! You do nothing but come on YT and sling mud, everybody is inferior to your thinking. If your tone and condescension is integral to peaceful coexistence I would expect more doom.
I hope I'm wrong about you, but your posts are as divisive to peace because of your righteous attitude. You're as much of a zealot as the rest. You can see yourself as a world citizen, but that's not how you think/write. Nice try!
@dwolfcoach so desperate to discredit me bcoz i say i'm a jew. i don't remember writing in any comments that everybody's "inferior to my thinking", so definitely more rhetoric on ur part. i'm a zealot? i believe evrybody, jews, arab palestinians, blacks, indians etc. hav the right to self-determination in a homeland. i support a 2-state solution. i've workd in peace/coexistence initiatives. but of course it u, with ur no jew literature policy, who's not a zealot. look at ur past comments ffs lol
@oc00011 "so desperate to discredit me bcoz i say i'm a jew." So typical of a "persecuted" man. Your fascist nonsense is what discredits you, not that you're a Jew. Continue to disparage any discourse on religious dogma and boundaries, then tell everyone how "limited", and "devoid of logic" they are in their understanding. These are YOUR words professor. Self-determination? As long as they agree w/ you? The very essence of delusion. BTW, why not trade for a piece of land in S. France?
@dwolfcoach show me ONE fascist thing i supposedly wrote. i'm an atheist jew, i clarified that twice before, get a grip. self-determination in that basis, so no it doesn't have to "agree with me", i never said it did. more rhetoric ey. reason for jews' self-determination not being in france is that if it were to be anywhere, the least unethical place wud be the historical homeland where native jews hav continued living in for thousands of years. if we popped up in france, where's our connection?
@oc00011 "...the least unethical place wud be the historical homeland where native jews hav continued living in for thousands of years. if we popped up in france, where's our connection?"
Are you ethically serious for one second? Your connection is that your children and their children would not be threatened w/ Islamic violence. Where is your connection otherwise? Oh, that's right God's role as an omniscient real estate broker. Are you sticking w/ the "atheist" label?
@dwolfcoach ...aaaaand some more rhetoric ey. u must know by now, evry fact i write is with sincerity, its not really a laughing matter 2 be making jokes about. i repeat, its more ethical to create self-determination in the jews' Historical homeland. in france, we wud've encountered french violence instead of islamic. likewise with anywhere else. not to mention france was run by nazis at the time, u stupid fucking clown. yes i'm an atheist, i'm beginning to think i'm talking to a fundamentalist.
@oc00011 Hehehe, you're the laughing matter. The man of peaceful coexistence explains his superior position and that all others are "fucking clowns", "devoid of logic", and "limited". Then claims he's won the debate. You are too egotistical in your own self-delusion to be the spokesperson for peace. It's not too late, learn some humility and then try again. You're not that sharp, your writing lacks conviction to your alleged cause. Swallow hard and start over. Peace!
@dwolfcoach i'm just saying, every time i respond to ur gibberish with a sincere answer, u ignore it & go on to the next bit of gibberish. u hav to be reminded every 2 seconds that i'm atheist, & ur too set in ur generalizations about me being a jew. u talk about israel with conviction & absolute certainty without havin ever lived there.
You are too egotistical in your own self-delusion to be the spokesperson for peace. It's not too late, learn some humility and then try again ;D
@oc00011 "not to mention france was run by nazis at the time, u stupid fucking clown...." ...what? Israel was established in 1948. World War II ended in 1945. It's also pretty obvious that there's more friction between Jews/Muslims than most other demographics. And the friction wasn't just religious; displacing people is going to earn their enmity, even if the intent isn't hostile. And there were other options that wouldn't displace anyone and weren't in post-Nazi Europe.
@BenkaiDebussy before israel existed, the native arabs in palestine were massacring the native jews, many times over, before ANY jewish counter attack was made. but, friction in europe was beyond this, as u well know. i'll repeat my offer in 1 of the last 2 message i sent here, do u want to read about what happened in terms of "displacement"? i can send u sources that are widely considered legitimate. only if u want to read about it. we all have more to learn, i never stop reading.
Israel was purchased and there are land deals to prove it. What happened was that the so called Palestinians fled their settlements in the 1948 war, which was caused by Stalin, and then found their former residence settled and developed. The Bedouin-like Palestinians were tribal nomads so the land essentially was considered abandoned.
@oc00011 Hey, I'm also an Atheist Jew. But "historical homeland" has absolutely no relevance if you're not religious (especially if it's been hundreds of years). The "least unethical" place would be one that didn't displace millions of people. It's not like Israel-Palestine was the only option (IIRC an area in Australia with more natural resources was also available).
There's also no justifying the existence of a religious state, whether it be Jewish, Christian, or Muslim.
@BenkaiDebussy many places were considered by zionists. evry place had its complications & in evry case people wud hav likely been displaced. unlike what u definitely heard, the jews were told firmly by ben gurion NOT to displace any arab. most arabs fled bcoz of pressure from arab authorities. i can send u the sources if u like. as an atheist jew, u really shud know this (with respect): the jewish state, israel, is a Secular state. [continued]
@BenkaiDebussy justification for being self-determined in Any land is least controversial in the Historical homeland (not necessarily biblical, there's archeological towns&cities of old israel everywhere, there's cultural memory). jews (&arabs) have been living there thousands of years. more justified to be there than making a state in uganda, no?
do u see any kurds wanting self-determination in Any place other than old kurdistan? likewise, armenians with armenia?
@dwolfcoach [continued] ...u r losing this debate i gota say, evry time i respond to u, u can't think of a response back bcoz u know what u previously wrote is utter bullshit. so instead u come up with sum thing about the silliness of god every other message, completely forgetting i'm an atheist as are millions of other jews. try this, its something us jews do 2nd nature & all the time, its called a dialectic. argue, but 4 knowing the answer rather than for wanting UR point 2 b the answer.
@oc00011 Also, sorry that you think my contempt is meant to be silent, I have no intention of being silent, nor am I even close to shouting. Frustrated would be a better description. I tired of the sanctimonious getting a free pass because they hide under the protection of FAITH. Do we disagree?
@dwolfcoach [continued] ...what i said is that u shudn't judge such a multi-faceted thing as jews' literature as either good or bad. u shud appreciate what his has 2 teach u (&criticize), as much as any other book, instead of following a trend of "bible is all BS". i'll tell u 1 thing, nobody cud write a "meaning & morally just" book without embracing every book they have to learn from, definitely including the bible. aside from that, yeh we agree on its negative side, for sure. do u c my point?
To Huckabee, Ron Paul did not say that he would not go to war, to protect America - even from Iran. He said that the leaders must follow the Constitution. Specifically, Congress must vote on a declaration of war. The president of the United States of America - a world superpower - cannot afford to start shooting, everytime he sees a shadow. It does not work like that. You, sir, need to re-read the U.S. Constitution.
Christianity isn't an "amendment" to the Old Testament, it's the fulfillment of the Old Testament. That's the whole point. A lot of you people don't know a thing about theology and are just kissing Dershowitz's Zionist ass because you love it when Christianity is bashed in any way. I mean, I'm no fan of Huckabee, but Deshowitz doesn't understand Christian theology and should go back to blithering on about Zionism and Jews like he usually does.
and the quran is the fulfillment of both the old and new testaments. or wait, is it the book of mormon? you religious kooks should keep to yourselves. any book claiming to be authored by the divine is clearly man made fiction. I don't care what you say until you can prove otherwise.
This is the typical outcome of what happens when a Jew goes against a Christian. Jewish people (Conservative and Orthodox specifically) have to learn their religious text, contradicting or not, when growing up. Christians do not. I'm not surprised Huckabee was humiliated.
This is one of the subjects on which Dershowitz isn't a raving fanatic. Huckabee fills that role here.
Huckabee is one of the people who never got the memo from mainstream scholarship. This is an interesting characteristic within western fundamentalism. Totally out of touch with modern archaeology and scholarship.
Of course, Huckabee understands Jesus very well---that's the scary thing about these born agains--they know all the answers and speak for God--they don't even have to read their own fictitious book. They know all the answers and are prepared to make policy decisions on their beliefs
@souljulez dershowitz is a left-wing human rights activist. why would you hate him? if its simply bcoz he's a lawyer (they're not all evil heartless demons), or bcoz he's a jew, then don't expect a reply from me. but if its for any other reasons, i'm interested.
You idiots cheer Dershowitz same way you'd cheer Hitchens, he doesn't have to say anything you cheer if they just throw an insult.. Dershowitz isn't as bad in that are as Hitchens, and doesn't use rhetoric quite as excessively, but you idiot atheists are still only cheering because you would say Huckabee lost anyway regardless.. and especially if somebody throws insults. Christian fundamentalists are so much more moral and decent than all of you
@boliusb Firstly, i don't think you listened. There were ammendments to the 10 commanments. So he was right. Second Christian fundamentalists are no more moral than most people. Sure Atheists have bad people, so do christians, atleast the atheists are not hypocrits about it. I have a good moral foundation through my own thinking and my the upbringing i got from my parents. Also Dershowitz is a Jew not an atheist.Just shows maybe Fundamental christians don't have very good critial thinking skills
Id have more respect for Alan Dershowitz if he would just come out and say: " jews and israel matter more than any one or any thing else, and the rest of the world comes in a distant second to the needs of jews and israel"
@Dannyboy855 I'm really surprised at this guy's stance regarding Israel, it just doesn't make sense, even considering how religion (which he's not fond of) was used to justify taking of the land alongside using the holocaust as justification :|
@TurboDally dershowitz it a scheming conniving snake that will use ANY MEANS to further his agenda and the ONLY things that matter to him..which are jews & israel....
That's clearly the thinking pattern and worldview of all Zionist Jews, and it's only thinly veiled, they very often admit.
To them the Jewish people are the only people who matter, and everyone else is really only their to be ignored, used (like America) or destroyed and ethnically cleansed (Arabs).
"...Alan, Alan I godda take a break...cause I'm looking increasingly stupid by the second and when we come back from the break we're going to talk about wikileaks and pretend like I didn't just irreparably humiliate myself, like a giant tit, on national tv - not that our viewers would recognise it anyway, after all, this is FoxNews...so, yup, everything’s in order here…"
Can you see what would happen if we gave Huck control over the button? The christian delusion, although well intended, is a fairy tale and the book written by multiple desert dwellers is rife with errors.....so many that it could not possibly be written by an infallible source. Christians need to go back to school, this time try a public school or the parochial.
here is something I have learned while having debates. When the person you are debating with starts saying "yeah... thats true" and smiling. Son, you are in trouble, there is a missile heading for you and you have no idea where its coming from. Huckabee should've forseen this deserved humilitation
@Eye2EyeIIIV its not hard to understand... use logic and your religious beliefs fall to peices. Go back to school, learn some real science and not illogical fallacies, and go back to civics class so u can realize that the founding fathers never spoke of god in the constitution except to say it has no place in our govt.
@Eye2EyeIIIV hah.. first off, the FACT is that many of the founding fathers were deists. washington got so sick of church law he refused to go to church anymore. there are DOZENS of writings from the FF that speak about their disgust of religion. the only time religion is spoke of AT ALL is the right to freedom of religion, and to keep religion out of govt.. thats it.. in other words keep it in the home.. and ps.. heres proof of their dislike of religion..cont
@Eye2EyeIIIV hah.. thats your response.. i bring you factual evidence and you say "forged quotes" bahaha..
paine wrote an entire book against religion called "the age of reason". in a letter to peter carr in 1787, Jefferson wrote "Question with boldness even the existence of a god." read Jeffersons notes on virginia 1782 he talkes about it causing mass murder and being vile... these are facts.. they left europe to excape religious intolerance.. please learn history before u speak of it..
Says the "peace-loving" Muslim from Saudi Arabia (the world's haven of human rights, tolerance, modernism, and religious and cultural and sexual equality).
@laurenoliver23 I think it's safe to conclude that you are - if I might quote Richard Dawkins - a disgrace to the human species. Enjoy your miserable and disgusting existence.
Right! Love your neighbor as yourself! UNLESS they are black, hispanic OR POOR! Then you just SPIT on them while you take their money and watch them die in the street and take the food out of the mouths of their children.

The grand mufti had the support of the Palestinian people at the time.
drpiddleton 1 month ago
Alan Dershowitz is wrong when saying it was the Christians who moved the Sabbath from Saturday to sunday, when it was not the Christians at all who did this. It was the Pagans in the Roman Catholic Church who did this to win over pagans to Roman Catholicism. The Roman Catholic Church persecuted, tortured Jews, True Christians (those who trully followed the teachings of God) and the Muslims because they refused to convert and worship the pope as a god.
freedomfighterguy1 1 month ago
@souljulez lol hardly, Jews and Arabs did not live peacefully together. Grand mufti al Husseini - a notable anti semitic and appointed by the British- led a riot which resulted in massive and very violent clash between the Jews and the Arabs - 135 Jews died and about 240 were wounded. The Arabs experienced heavy casualties on their side as well. This was in the 1920s. There are other examples.
drpiddleton 1 month ago
@souljulez then I assume you are equally critical of the foreign policy of the USA.

@drpiddleton Of course. Israel wouldn't get away with what they do if it weren't for the support from the US. I oppose injustice anywhere, even injustice committed by my own country.

@souljulez [continued] ...not accurate to say "occupied land", its more complicated. jerusalem has thousands of yrs of jewish history. east jerusalem as occupied land is from palestinians' rewriting history beginning it from '67. the 9000 jews of gaza were forcefully removed by israel, also lebanon &sinai. the claim of jews to these areas goes back thousands of yrs (just like the arabs). those communities destroyed by jordan in war of independence &only now jews return to the area (after '67).
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Jews and Arabs lived peacefully in unincorporated Palestine for centuries before the 1940s. Then the Zionists ethnically cleansed the region, killing many, exiling most, and keeping the remaining people in an apartheid-state where they have no right of movement, defense, or self-determination. If that isn't "occupied," I don't know what is.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez jews & arabs didn't live in peace in the region, save for a few short phases in history. the (majority of) zionists Didn't ethnically cleanse or steal arabs land / force exile. there's no apartheid. the palestinians weren't refused self-determination by israel or by the international powers. every single thing here stated is refutation of the MYTHS u wrote. trust me, i don't say this lightly. if u want to learn why i say this, i can send u sources 4 u to analyse critically&neutrally.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Riiiight, so the Arabs left their ancestral home completely willingly and happily, the Palestinians in West Bank and Gaza have exactly the same legal status as Jewish Israelis, and they are free to start their own country anytime they want...is that what you're saying? What universe do you live in? Why don't you take a drive through Gaza and take a look at the rubble?
souljulez 1 month ago

He's a douchebag.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez look up what he actually said instead of Completely Fabricating some half-remembered quote. he said proudly that israel's achieved the best ratio of terrorist-to-civilian casualties in the entire history of warfare! which was 29 terrorists for every 1 civilian by the way. & he also said that its not good enough, which is why israel still invests a lot on improving this. of course israel doesn't Target civilians! please tell me ur not serious. find me the "2006" quote, coz that's BS.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 On the Lebanese war, Dershowitz wrote: "Hezbollah and Hamas militants… are difficult to distinguish from those ‘civilians’ who recruit, finance, harbor and facilitate their terrorism. Nor can women and children always be counted as civilians, as some organizations do. Terrorists increasingly use women and teenagers to play important roles in their attacks." (LA Times, July 2006) He also thinks voting for Hezbollah makes one a legitimate target. Now, THAT'S BS.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez did u read my sources yet or not? if u did, what's ur reflection on the facts written? do u acknowledge that israel spends an absolute fortune on minimising civilian casualties in war, & that the PA do no such thing (they deliberately target the most dense populations of civilians they can find)? if u don't acknowledge this, wud u like more sources on the matter, as a 'free thinker'? i suggest u watch as many vids as u can from mbrown0315 on youtube, more detail than in comment box.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 I don't doubt that the IDF spent a lot of money to improve weapons accuracy but that means absolutely nothing to the thousands of Palestinians who were slaughtered. BTW I find ur characterization of the PA curious - "they deliberately target the most dense populations of civilians they can find" - when this is EXACTLY what the IDF did to Gaza in 2009. They used phosphorus bombs and other weapons on a city of a million, and currently treat the Palestinians like caged animals.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez all u wrote just shows me very Clearly that u do not know the ABCs of this topic, u r quite literally as ignorant as the vast majority of people, on this topic. u have no idea how palestinians are treated by israelis, u have no idea how israelis are treated by palestinians, u have no idea what was going on with the phosphorus, u don't know to what extent either side strive for humanitarian ideals. worst of all, u don't even check sources offered to u. again, study on YT: mbrown0315
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 I checked your sources - that mbrown0315 guy says nothing to dispute the specific points I made. The brute fact of the thousands of Palestinian deaths defeats any claim about the IDF minimizing casualties - I don't doubt they have, but obviously they haven't done enough. You think 1400 Palestinian deaths - mostly non-combatants - is an acceptable result? And this is setting aside the whole question of why Hamas launched rockets in the first place. END THE OCCUPATION NOW
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez u have quite a limit in ur ability to think if u can't get passed the difference in numbers & see the bigger picture. what do israel AND the ***PA*** do to minimize civilian casualties. what are the motives, and methods & strategies. what do both sides teach in their schools to their children, & what do they show on the media. WHY has so many been killed, is it deliberate by israel (of course fucking Not), or by PA (yes!!!!!) & what can be done about it ON BOTH SIDES (not just 1).
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Of course the PA should minimze casualties too, but if you think that the weapons and resources of both sides are comparable, you're CRAZY. When one side has the overwhelming military advantage they have more responsibility to protect civilians, especially when they are targeting an area that they KNOW is densely packed with non-combatants. That is a deliberate action by the IDF (and I'm not excusing the Palestinians from blame, either).
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez its been proven there was a never deliberate IDF action against civilians in war. its not only been proven by the antisemitic, corrupt, & anti-israel "UN", but also by the ferociously antisemitic & anti-israel "richard goldstone", who wrote an op-ed apologising for the fabrications he wrote in his earlier report, & concluded israel Never deliberately attacked civilians, & did everything possible to ensure civilian safety (not an easy task). i'm glad u put effort in being balanced.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 The Goldstone and UN reports never said Israel did "everything" possible to ensure civilian safety, only that targeting civilians wasn't official policy - which is a half-assed way of saying "we never thought dropping mortars and phosphorus on densely-populated areas would've actually killed civilians." How disingenuous is that? And if you're one of those who say "anyone who criticizes Israel is anti-semitic" then you are beyond reason.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez why wud i think criticising israel is antisemitic? that's a huge prejudice on ur part! i criticise my own country, israel, & every other country too. everybody should criticise all governments! what's antisemitic is to do so with **double standards**, demonisation & delegitimisation towards israel. regarding IDF 'official policy' & to what extent its policy is realised in the field, youtube 'richard kemp israel', 1st link on results page. u realize the difference with hamas policy??!
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 IDF and Hamas are not equal adversaries! You're using Hamas as a standard for Israeli actions in order to prove how much more moral the IDF is, but that standard is so low as to be laughable (and again, I am not defending Hamas). Israel has way more power and thus has way more responsibility. Stop playing the "Well, Hamas didn't do this or that" Card because it has nothing to do with whether Israel's actions are just are not.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez arabs in israel, not talking about the disputed territories. 7 million ppl from 130 countries, israelis c u as the same whether u look middle-eastern, european, ethiopian, s.american, or chinese. there's been 63 arab members of the knesset, they represent over 10% of total membership. they hav 9 political parties. some arab members went to libya talked to gadafi! 1 was in the flotilla fighting against the country! 1.8 million arab citizens with Full Rights. live there 7 yrs then talk.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Then why aren't Palestinians free to move wherever they want? Why is there a blockade preventing them from receiving construction supplies? Do you honestly think Hamas bombed their own houses? You accuse me of only seeing one side, yet you're so brainwashed you honestly think the Palestinians are happy living the way they are.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez hamas don't only force their own ppl in their homes while shooting a rocket from that building, to try kill as many civilians as possible from israeli retaliation, but they openly encourage their children to blow themselves up. i wasn't comparing IDF with hamas in the way u sed, that wud be absurd. b4 the blockade there were suicide bombings in israeli schools, school buses, cafes etc everyday, sumtimes 5 a day. after blockade, near ZERO! arabs IN israel r happy. not the 1s led by PA.
oc00011 1 month ago
@souljulez [continued] ...& in gaza the casualty ratio was 3:2, which even this is approximately 10 times better than the casualty ratio that happened in iraq & afghanistan! yet, israel got it down to 1:29. he's defended palestinian rights for decades! currently he's against the settlement building. he ferociously debated against the real "douchebags" such as kahane. he's advocated Full equal rights for all in israel & advocated pal. self-determination- a future neighbouring palestinian state.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Look up a Youtube video called "Dershowitz The Snake hisses more lies" for the quote. Over 1100 Palestinians were killed in the 2009 Gaza invasion compared to a dozen Israelis (mostly soldiers). Yeah, and dropping phosphorus bombs on one of the most densely populated cities in the world sure isn't targeting civilians. I love your logic.
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez i will look it up thanks. my logic comes from numerical data, approach in warfare, financial&manpower investment in minimizing civilian casualties in war by IDF, & other factual analysis. regarding it still having had many civilian casualties, & the phosphorus incident, please youtube search: 'mbrown0315 phosphorus', 3rd link. its a 2-part video. afterwards get back to me.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 - That guy's an articulate speaker, but like many IDF apologists, he downplays the causes of the conflict and chooses to start the debate at "Well, Hamas was launching rockets so we had to defend ourselves." You don't punish an entire population for the acts of a few. That Dershowitz would defend actions like the 2009 Gaza Invasion or the actions against Lebanon in 2006 make him a douchebag.
souljulez 1 month ago
@oc00011 You think the casualty ratio in Gaza (2009) was 3:2? Where do you get your stats from? The Israeli Propaganda Office?
souljulez 1 month ago
@souljulez no, not any propaganda office. i thought we're having a dialogue here. it should be clear that i question & passionately try to understand the opposite views of the views i hold, & i analyse every bit of info to see if it is propaganda. so don't do that pathetic shit with me please. i got the casualty ratio data from this source, which u can look up urself: 'the goldstone illusion' (4 the gaza ratio), & 'Pinpoint Attacks on Gaza More Precise, Haaretz, Amos Harel, 30/12/07' (for 1:29)
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 I was specifically referencing the 2009 Gaza invasion. B'Tselem estimated about 1,387 causualties, Palestinian Center for Human Rights estimated 1,434, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health estimated around 1,500 (so I actually understimated). Only about 200-300 of those deaths are believed to be combatants. Source: BBC. Less than 20 Israelis died during that same time period. This is not moral.

dwolfcoach 2 months ago
@dwolfcoach i think u should be held in contempt lol. those "10 little rules" include that u shouldn't murder, steal etc. so owe your life to this anthropological root. *some* of the rules are ridiculous of course, therefore they should be *amended*. just as law has been amended only from the recent 1960s to cease considering homosexuals as mentally ill, & only *a few yrs ago* to allow them in the army in the US (which, by the way, happened 10 yrs ago in israel). i'm an atheist zionist jew btw.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 When IS murder OK? Leviticus 24? Kill them for blaspheming in verse 17, then thou shalt not kill in verse 18???? This is a poor defense.
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach u seem to have completely missed out my point. *amendments* to the bullshit verses in a book with many incredibly insightful verses, would be better than just shouting at the whole book like an atheist fanatic. (LOL soz, just pictured shouting at a book, quite funny). better to debate than to silently "hold in contempt". better to pick out the gems written in these books than to put the whole book in the bin. i really can't make my point any clearer than this sorry.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 No, I don't think I missed your point. It's hard to hear intonation and emphasis in a small post, but I take your point. My retort is leveled at the "absolute" reverence of these 10 "rules". I don't think you're disagreeing either, I do think that almost all of the "insightful" verses are predated in the Analects of Confucius and possibly the bhagavad gita. But I will say that almost anyone in any HS class in America could write a book more meaningful and morally just.
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach even if u could find all the insightful verses of judaism in ancient indian & chinese philosophy books (which u can't, i guarantee) then that means u should look at them with an equally positive (&critical) light as u would do with the bible. have u any idea how much violence & cruelty is in vedic scripture? with these too u need to make ur own personal amendments to their teachings. instead of holding all of them in contempt. i never said u shud be "silent". never be silent.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 I never implied that those that predated the Bible were more moral, only that they were most likely plagiarized or "borrowed". As for critiquing them, be assured I have no attachment to any literature other than its coherent logic. Which continues to be my point. But any one could condemn slavery, infanticide, etc. I don't think you're asserting that any of these books were written/inspired by the infallible creator of the universe, are you? So, NO FREE PASS to nonsense-right?
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach 1st of all, everything's "plagiarized" from somewhere else, cultural memory transfered&transformed (several times over) between peoples of the world i.e. memetics. 2nd, yes, no free-pass to nonsense. like i said, concepts that don't add up in the bible/vedic txt/quran etc. i will not adhere to, needless to say. but i'll reiterate, there are concepts within jewish literature that is coherent & logical, & as it happens, core to my identity. but i find inspiration from other cultures 2.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Fair to say we have no conflict. So, hold me in contempt if you see fit. I'm on the Dershowitz side of this one, but none of these ancient texts appeal to me personally. If parts of the Torah blow your skirt up that's fine w/ me, I just won't sit quietly when you or anyone else use it to justify atrocities or stultify children.
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach very strange chain of thought - if (logical) parts of the torah are a major factor in the building blocks of ur identity, i won't be indifferent if u use this to justify atrocities.. ?!?!?? what kind of logic is this? did u hear urself?! its like if i was to say just bcoz u find particularly transforming inspiration in studying the categorical imperative of kantian philosophy... " " "
why shud u think i'm advocating atrocities bcoz i'm an atheist JEW. what an irrational prejudice!
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 WTF?
5. Stop claiming offense, are you guilty of atrocities?
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach 1. too complex for here, so lets say.. yeh, sure why not, the cultural aspect. in any land that is planned to be made a country for making a persecuted people self-determined, there will be natives. luckily, in palestine there were native jews AND arabs, but the zionist vision for coexistence, equality & peace didn't quite work out. 2. ur arrogant. atheist jew, bcoz i'm a jew culturally, i'm inspired by other cultures too, & i'm atheist. deal with it. 3. ur incapable of reason.
oc00011 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach [continued] ...i NEVER said the torah's logical to me on the whole. read over my past messages if comprehension isn't ur thing. 4. who said its "tribal" u arrogant fuck. being a jew is probably the main reason why i see myself as a "citizen of the world"- every human's my brother, being passionate about travel, philosophies & cultures etc. victims??! u moron!!! 5. again, completely devoid of logic or coherence. get a fucking grip. You are just a coward that can't take a real step and be an atheist. Hold on to your "logical" books, but don't try to sell it to me.Now fuck off!

@dwolfcoach oooo sum1's getting emotional lol. ur arrogant bcoz u think u know what it means the term 'atheist jew'. ur arrogant bcoz u think that someone that gives themselves a "label" automatically distance themselves from anything that's not in their "group"- tribalist. u think ur the almighty in knowledge of how the "2 tribal groups", as u call em, r "incompatible". ur obviously not aware of the numerous coexistence projects existing. ur devoid of logic bcoz ur emotional. now f... reflect.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Label yourself whatever you want, but when every discussion on YT begins and ends w/ oc00011 is right and righteous, as all of your posts demonstrate, that is the tribal nonsense that continues to preclude a solution. So how are your "coexistence projects" working? The slaughter of non combatants in the 21st century in the middle east is "devoid of logic", but rife w/ divisive moral groups. Jews and Arabs are still led by tribal, religious zealots. Now reflect professor!
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach i say i'm "righteous"? i don't remember saying that in any comment, which means u must've written it as rhetoric. nice one. again, "tribal nonsense". i think i made it rather clear that i see myself as a world citizen, from all cultures. but also i'm a jew. the 2 can go hand in hand, i'm living proof, as are millions of others. the coexistence projects are working really well, thanks for ur Genuine Concern. the jewish state is secular, read a book. ur very ignorant on this topic

@dwolfcoach show me ONE fascist thing i supposedly wrote. i'm an atheist jew, i clarified that twice before, get a grip. self-determination in that basis, so no it doesn't have to "agree with me", i never said it did. more rhetoric ey. reason for jews' self-determination not being in france is that if it were to be anywhere, the least unethical place wud be the historical homeland where native jews hav continued living in for thousands of years. if we popped up in france, where's our connection?
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 "...the least unethical place wud be the historical homeland where native jews hav continued living in for thousands of years. if we popped up in france, where's our connection?"
Are you ethically serious for one second? Your connection is that your children and their children would not be threatened w/ Islamic violence. Where is your connection otherwise? Oh, that's right God's role as an omniscient real estate broker. Are you sticking w/ the "atheist" label?
dwolfcoach 1 month ago
@dwolfcoach ...aaaaand some more rhetoric ey. u must know by now, evry fact i write is with sincerity, its not really a laughing matter 2 be making jokes about. i repeat, its more ethical to create self-determination in the jews' Historical homeland. in france, we wud've encountered french violence instead of islamic. likewise with anywhere else. not to mention france was run by nazis at the time, u stupid fucking clown. yes i'm an atheist, i'm beginning to think i'm talking to a fundamentalist.
oc00011 1 month ago

BenkaiDebussy 1 month ago
@BenkaiDebussy before israel existed, the native arabs in palestine were massacring the native jews, many times over, before ANY jewish counter attack was made. but, friction in europe was beyond this, as u well know. i'll repeat my offer in 1 of the last 2 message i sent here, do u want to read about what happened in terms of "displacement"? i can send u sources that are widely considered legitimate. only if u want to read about it. we all have more to learn, i never stop reading.
oc00011 1 month ago
@BenkaiDebussy,
Israel was purchased and there are land deals to prove it.

BenkaiDebussy 1 month ago
@BenkaiDebussy many places were considered by zionists. evry place had its complications & in evry case people wud hav likely been displaced. unlike what u definitely heard, the jews were told firmly by ben gurion NOT to displace any arab. most arabs fled bcoz of pressure from arab authorities. i can send u the sources if u like. as an atheist jew, u really shud know this (with respect): the jewish state, israel, is a Secular state. [continued]
oc00011 1 month ago
@BenkaiDebussy justification for being self-determined in Any land is least controversial in the Historical homeland (not necessarily biblical, there's archeological towns&cities of old israel everywhere, there's cultural memory). jews (&arabs) have been living there thousands of years. more justified to be there than making a state in uganda, no?
do u see any kurds wanting self-determination in Any place other than old kurdistan? likewise, armenians with armenia?

@dwolfcoach [continued] ...u r losing this debate i gota say, evry time i respond to u, u can't think of a response back bcoz u know what u previously wrote is utter bullshit. so instead u come up with sum thing about the silliness of god every other message, completely forgetting i'm an atheist as are millions of other jews. try this, its something us jews do 2nd nature & all the time, its called a dialectic. argue, but 4 knowing the answer rather than for wanting UR point 2 b the answer.
oc00011 1 month ago
@oc00011 Anyone that doesn't think like you is "devoid of logic" or limited in their thinking. Read your bullshit!
And stop writing like you're 3!

@oc00011 Also, sorry that you think my contempt is meant to be silent, I have no intention of being silent, nor am I even close to shouting. Frustrated would be a better description. I tired of the sanctimonious getting a free pass because they hide under the protection of FAITH. Do we disagree?
dwolfcoach 1 month ago

Sion6 3 months ago
@Sion6
and the quran is the fulfillment of both the old and new testaments. or wait, is it the book of mormon? you religious kooks should keep to yourselves. any book claiming to be authored by the divine is clearly man made fiction.

Huckabee is one of the people who never got the memo from mainstream scholarship. This is an interesting characteristic within western fundamentalism. Totally out of touch with modern archaeology and scholarship.
PurpleHoneyBear 5 months ago
Of course, Huckabee understands Jesus very well---that's the scary thing about these born agains--they know all the answers and speak for God--they don't even have to read their own fictitious book. They know all the answers and are prepared to make policy decisions on their beliefs

Christian fundamentalists are so much more moral and decent than all of you
boliusb 6 months ago
@boliusb Firstly, i don't think you listened. There were ammendments to the 10 commanments. So he was right. Second Christian fundamentalists are no more moral than most people. Sure Atheists have bad people, so do christians, atleast the atheists are not hypocrits about it. I have a good moral foundation through my own thinking and my the upbringing i got from my parents. Also Dershowitz is a Jew not an atheist.Just shows maybe Fundamental christians don't have very good critial thinking skills

That's clearly the thinking pattern and worldview of all Zionist Jews, and it's only thinly veiled, they very often admit.
To them the Jewish people are the only people who matter, and everyone else is really only their to be ignored, used (like America) or destroyed and ethnically cleansed (Arabs).

raztis1 9 months ago

what kind of history books are you reading?
And where in the bible does it say NOT to use "logic"??? Of course it does!
The Founding Father, like 95%, of them spoke of G-d's essence fluently. George Washington was a strong man who loved the Lord & his country dearly.
If you're brining up the "separation of church & state", FAIL!
Jefferson wrote that to some Baptist pastors about keeping govt. influence out of churches, but to keep Christian principles in govt. SO THERE
Eye2EyeIIIV 9 months ago
@Eye2EyeIIIV hah.. first off, the FACT is that many of the founding fathers were deists. washington got so sick of church law he refused to go to church anymore. there are DOZENS of writings from the FF that speak about their disgust of religion. the only time religion is spoke of AT ALL is the right to freedom of religion, and to keep religion out of govt.. thats it.. in other words keep it in the home.. and ps.. heres proof of their dislike of religion..cont
