I was also raised a Jehovah's Witness. This is partly true and partly false. However it does illustrate how quickly a religion can not only be created but believed! Yup. It only says that Jesus came from heaven to earth in the flesh and that the glory of Jesus is that of the only begotten Son of God. Does not indicate Jesus is God, though.
There is lots of biblical scripture about the Son, Father and Holy Spirit being One God. Scripture doesn't tell us that Jesus was anything else other than the Living God. I'm yet to see solid scriptural verses that reflect the beliefs of Jehovah Witnesses.

No angel can save many sins, only God can, that's why He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins, and His resurrection proves that He is the son of God. The scriptures say Jesus is, ο μονογενής Υιός του Θεού του, "mongenes ho theos", or "the one relative of the [true] God." Jesus was the only son that Jehovah begat [fathered], alone. All other angels or "sons of God" were created by Jehovah with the help of "the firstborne of creation", Jesus.

JWs preach a another gospel. Paul warns the Church, that even if an angel comes from heaven with another gospel, let him be accursed. the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been around since Jesus Christ died and ressurrected, JWs, since the late 1800s.

However I do believe some of the things they say "could" be true, and from what I've seen is not evil. Which is why I currently spend a lot of time trying to research between the KJV, nwt, etc among other versions as I personally don't believe any version is truly correct due to attempts at translation from the original languages to what we understand now.

Go read it yourself or google the name Justus Lipsius and the cross or stake. You will see how Justus said traditional cross with 4 pieces of wood, and in your Purple KIT it says torture stake.

You need to accept the gift as long as it is given, for there will be a time, when we can look for God but we will not find Him, so we need to accept Jesus now and let Him change us into His image so that we will be given the power to live a holy life.

FYI: I don't think all Kingdom Halls are run the same. I used to live nearby one as well, and they never peddled anything to my family when they went door to door. They simply talked & answered questions. In fact, when I visited them personally, they gave me their version of the bible for free so I can see the differences between mine and theirs.

They believe he is the leader of all angels, and that angels are spirit creatures, but Jesus himself was not like the rest. Furthermore the Holy Spirit is, to them, God's power. Not Himself split into a different form.

@DisturbedKoala to belong to Jesus Christ, you have to be "born again" of the Holy Ghost, i know a lot of JWs, they haven't the slightest idea what that means. @damanfrom808 Both the KJV & NWT say the same thing. If you read the first verses of Acts, you'd understand that the things he did & taught were through the power of the Holy Spirit. He spoke about things for our Father as mentioned on Acts 1:2 & 1:4.
FYI #1: There's reason as to why 7 verses in KJV mention Jehovah. #2: NWT is translated from Hebrew, Aramaic, & Greek.
Also in case I've confused you, I'm not a JW. I am however defending JWs, as contrary to popular belief, they're not a cult.

@DisturbedKoala 1 but they are not witnesses of Jesus Christ like v 8, said we should be. 2 the word jehova, is an attempt by man, to give God a name. if you want to know my name you could go to my son he has the same name as i, Jesus Christ came in His Fathers name, got it. where in the Bible does God say my name is jehova??? it was humans who put did it. the Jews themselves never pronounced the name but used Elohim and Adonai instead.

@DisturbedKoala there is no such name as jehova, while translating the Bible, schollars used vowels from Elohim and Adonai to vocalize the YHWH, those vowels were to be omitted before the final draft but it wasn't. hence a gentile, man made name for God, jehova. maybe it should be jehavo, jahevo or joheva? but now Jesus Christ, we know He said, He came in His Fathers name. if you're not born of the Holy Ghost, you're just a religious club.

@littleCUBA1 Did you know that they lied to you in their Purple Kingdom Interlinear Translation of Jesus being on a "tortuture stake". Go read it yourself or google the name Justus Lipsius and the cross or stake. You will see how Justus said traditional cross with 4 pieces of wood, and in your Purple KIT it says torture stake.
Why would the WT lie to you about this?

@15wordth I was a JW and this is 100% accurate for the time period it was made in. Whatever the WT is teaching now, it is some permutation of this. They even used a real WT illustration. Well done. @ampikine It may not be that simple to do just before you die, as it is not just a nominal thing to ask for forgiveness and repent from your sins, as it is written in acts, in the sermon of Peter, repentance is a gift from God. You need to accept the gift as long as it is given, for there will be a time, when we can look for God but we will not find Him, so we need to accept Jesus now and let Him change us into His image so that we will be given the power to live a holy life.
