I just peeled 2 pomelos here in Singapore. They are huge, hard and green. You have to use a knife, it's impossible to peel by hand and the sections are encased in really thick skin, so then you have to take a knife and then peel that off too.

But I love pomelo and they are sweet and delicious! Not sure why Kevin's is so small and more like grapefruit!

These are definately my favorite citrus ever! I don't even like the oranges or lemons we get here. But the pummelos, though seasonal, are always worth the wait. Plus they are fun to peel.

Who ever says palmelos are sweet must have never ate a mango or grapes. Those Are sweet! If u want an exotic fruit try the durian fruit

A grapefruit is actually a crossbreed between a pomelo and a Jamaican sweet orange. That is why you can compare the two.

I was lucky enough to eat tons pomelos this summer (my local farmers market sold them for a ridiculously low price, like 4 huge ones for 1 dollar). SOOOO YUMMY mmmmm. Can't wait for summer again.

that fruit was sooooooo not ripe. I should have been deep pink - I dunno if it was the camera, but that pulp, or "meat" looked pretty green, or yellow - SUPER DELICIOUS THOUGH!!!

There's more than one kind of pummelo. There are the lemon lime (or lemonade flavored ones in my opinion) and there are anything in between until you get to an almost dark purple pink pummelo. I haven't gotten to try the pink ones yet. Looks good! {:o)

Dayum, you make my mouth water after that show. However, that's one tiny Pomelo i've ever seen. They come much bigger than that, twice that size. It's really good and the section skin, peels so easily unlike grapefruit, and no it's not bitter either. Clean it up, put it in a bowl and sprinkle it with salt. It's a tasty snack.
