Damn, that waw a tight cabin!! That hatch seems hard to be put into place, and scary the fact that he had to get into the plane from the bomber through this hole. Brave man.

@lalbruiz And he was in considerable pain climbing into the X-1.  The day before he had broken 2 ribs!
