Hello mblasock this is a wurliTzer 165 band organ that was added alot from its old days. the organ was painted black and borwn and wurliTzer refferbished it and painted green on it and a 165 facade and new pipes and also added a new calliope. this used to be a barrel street organ from croops glen park by: the north tonawanda musical instruments gruop.
You can't really hear it on this clip, but when I was at the park last fall both main organs were in some serious need of TLC and minor tuning. Both the Wurli conversion and the Frati were playing much too slowly, I assume in an effort to reduce the wind pressure/volume. It was more depressing than anything else.
@Karlfalcon I think they need to hire somebody to do tlc on them every couple songs or so i know they dont need tlc that much but better to be safe than sorry
On any given day at Knoebels you are sure to hear at least three band organs. This one is my favorite. It was built by DeKleist in 1907 as a barrel organ. Wurlitzer converted it to their Style 165 rolls in 1914. The tune playing here is "At The Balalaika."
the song has another name to it
