I was one of the few original 'Soulheads' in the late 70's/early 80's. It was either Soul or Reggae at my school. I grew up on Ronnie Laws, George Benson, Roy Ayres, Deneice Williams, Chaka, Khan, Phyllis Hyman, etc. But my dad listened to Swing, Be-bop and music like this. So I had to. Beautiful. What a time to grow up in the Bronx in the (50's). We Do-wopped in all of the echoed hallways and under all the bridges that we could. We would sing, Billy Stewart, The Moonglows, Sam Cook, The Platters and The Dells. We thought it would never end. I'm so thankful for all those times and experiences and the guys I grew up with. I wouldn't trade those times for anything.

I just don't like the "shoe wap do wap" that is so signature of the 50's and that is probably what you like. No problems.
