  • She's lip syncing....

  • Are there any more selections from this performance? I saw it many years ago on the ABC and it's impossible to buy anywhere ! Really Useful Group - we could use a DVD of this.

  • @lashbear I agree! They did a fantastic job re-releasing the cast recording of Sarah on CD, but we need a DVD!

  • Sarah Brightman is the best that ever was.

  • Love it

  • Beautiful.

  • Such a very beautiful singer!

  • A fantastic song but her voice is a tad screechy today. I've heard better from her.

  • Na Sarah brightmans voice is much stronger but obviously denise is Better looking

  • Bernadette?!?

  • What is this video from??

  • I really don't like this, the words seem too detached and sticato, they lose all meaning.

  • @julu92 Yeah I agree, I love Sarah Brightman but she really does not portray this part at all.... Denis Van Outen's version is fantastic though (:

  • Gut-wrenching in how she is so vulnerable yet so strong as to be upfront about it. Can't even put it in words, it's just perfect music and lyrics combined. You just want to hold her. Never heard this song (despite being a huge ALW fan) until college and got chills.

  • The best version of this song (by a mile) is the Marti Webb version, with all due respect to Sarah, she can't hold a candle to Marti's more natural version. This sounds too flowery when simplicity is the best solution. In fact the whole album is expertly done.

  • @mishunaccomeplished Have to agree ! Sarah's voice is too "wobbly" for my liking. Marti is just an all-round classy performer - the best !

  • God! She is amazing!

  • michael crawford also knocks this song out of the box

  • beautiful singing and presentation

  • I love this song

  • Which 'character' is she supposed to be singing to in this song?

  • One of the best songs by Sarah I've seen. This is how good she can be when the song takes precedence.

Later in her career, not sure when it started, but her performances became more about her and her persona.

In this song I can really appreciate her beauty and amazing voice.

  • I wonder if Andrew or Sarah sits alone at night and watches this and think about all the times that had gone by.

  • Her voice is so gorgeous, love this!

  • Her voice is beautiful, but her interpretation is completely lacking.

  • What a lovely woman, she's just gotten better with age. On top of that her voice is just amazing.

  • Her lips are so pretty.

  • Is this how it looked on stage? I love this song, and I really want to do it for my Musical Theatre class, but I don't know exactly how to act it out. If this is how it looked in stage, I'm all set. Oh, and Sarah Brightman rocks this song. It's truly gorgeous :)

  • Song and Dance has really hard music to interpret. I don't really like the way she sang this, but that's just me.

  • Sarah Brightman is my reason for falling in love with this song. And I can't get over how pretty she was!

  • i love sarah brightman, but i'm just...not a fan of her singing this song.

  • LOVE IT

  • i totally agree!~

  • I finally understood what this song is about! Breaking up - WOW. That took me long enough.

  • does somebody know where can I watch the play online, or where can I download it from? I REALLY die to see it! =(

  • What's the story of this play?

She has really good voice quality, and I don't mind her interpretation, but I can understand why others dislike it.

  • @lafleurquicache Emma, a British woman moves to the US and talks openly about how painful it's to be alone in another country and how cruel the dating scene can be. She talks quite openly about the men she dates in the pre-Sex and the City era.

  • The best interpretation of this song... Her voice is evidently one of the most glorious of this generation.. truly amazing. She is a gifted woman

  • Is this from the original production? I've never seen any production of the show, but I love this song. And, I have to say this is THE WORST interpretation I've ever heard. Halting and staccato. Her delivery is so jerky, you can never get into the mood of the piece.

  • There are elements of her interpretation I like, and in turn there I things I don't. I really wouldn't call this this WORST interp. of this piece though. :) Just different. Granted anything she did is better than what I've seen on Broadway in the past few years. Just my opinion though, no need to think I'm trying to be rude.

  • is there any song more beautiful than this???

  • @oliverio67 the version by marti webb...

  • Do you have the rest of this play to post?
