During the VanEx era i was a laker fan and NBA what da thing. When shaq, kobe and tim donaghy came is when i started dislikn' lakers. Especially when Phil Jackson came is when all that cheating shit started in the 2000 playoffs. Not to mention 2002. Now the Nba is all about gambling & favoritism.

Nick definitely had beef with kobe, fisher, shaq. The chemistry wasn't there. Nick wants it to be his team and that wasn't going to happen with kobe and the others.
Nick should have retired a laker. I hated how it ended for him in 98, and in that utah series. Pissed me off that he was thinking about Cancun instead of kicking Stockton's butt!
Parts are revisionist. They were playing like ass before Magic came back, they only made the "charge to the playoffs" due to his addition. Also, they blamed the team's struggles for Nick pushing Garretson. They lost the game that night, but they weren't "struggling" overall and they don't put it on Nick for being a hothead, which he most def was before he was traded to DEN. "Struggles" didn't make him argue w/ Del or get traded either. He gave up during the 98 Utah series, pissed Shaq off.
