I got to see him when he blossomed out of nowhere, an amazingly talented, hard-working, generous child, surprising the whole world. I got to watch him continue blossoming and surprising us for another four decades. Many of us did. This is what makes me sad about his death. To see the innocence of their performance and they looked like they were having so much fun while doing this. I can't recall a group that just lost themselves in the song like Marlon and Jackie were. And that's what it's about...what makes it so real. But it's a downright shame that their lives weren't so pure and innocent and the sacrifice it must take (losing your childhood) for unmatched entertainment. But for what it's worth, "thank you".
