  • Damn the guy put the fuck swab thing in there and the hole was big as. Hell

  • I was just wondering, does this cost? and how much does it hurt and why did he put the string on if your foot was already nummed just wondering coz my friend has this and she is really scared of surgery and stuff so just wonering?:)

  • At 1:20, when he cuts the toe and blood comes out, is that to relieve pressure?

  • I did this on January, and I got it fully removed, and not only a part of it, the whole nail, my problem was very worse then this guy and Im 12 and got it off of 12 and they made a type of poison that kill the roots of the toe-nail, and now im without a NAIL!! :D! But, I got the problem on the right foot now, its the same like this guy, but need to go to a podotologist..

  • im not being funny buh i have been doing this for years and have had it done my self when i was a kid, but they did it wrong the didnt put nufn on it to prevent infection growing or nufn

and fyi look at the comments there asking if the needles hurt the the nail being removered just sayin

  • @MsTraceyangel FYI, madam, read the description where I clearly answer whether or not it hurts.

  • Had mine removed when I was like 12.... the only part that hurt was the needles. The actual removal was painless

  • i can't watch this gross

  • im so lucky i didnt have to go through this when i had an ingrown toenail. the doctor told me to let it grow out. and when it did it stopped hurting now i just dont cut the nail in a circle pattern i always cut it straight

  • OMGG THATS FRIGGIN NASTYYY

  • Just had it done today only part that hurts is the needles

  • Last year they had to do this to me, and i literally almost fainted because i was looking. And now i think i have another one. Dx i pick on it too much and i really should stop.

  • I had this done today, the injection is the only part of the whole procedure that "stings", it certainly looks a lot worse than it feels, my advice to someone having this is don't look, and afterwards, elevate your

Foot above your waist for 24-48 hours, to reduce swelling and pain, :)

  • hurt ? :/

  • I hate it when there givin' u numbing shots and u just wanna get it done and they're like are u ready? 1-2-3. I'm like just get it done!!!

  • how do u get a ingrown toe nail? im only 11.

  • @wanna209BEAST Just... clip your toenails straight across with toenail clippers and wear shoes that fit.

  • i did this today the numbin afterwards was awesoem hahaha

  • How bad did those needles hurt? After the surgery how long did it take before the toe was completely healed and was no longer sore?

I might end up getting this done . . .

  • @fancycat1954 toe felt better the same day, it completely healed up after a few months.

needles sucked tho. But honestly it's no worse than the pain of having an ingrown toenail

  • @moseleych but please , look that needles.... thats the reason, why i dont wanna this Surgery ! you test it with yourself? i bet it hurts ! you say : it's no worse than the pain of having an ingrown toenail. but its against the nature, to let do this with yourself :) looks so painful. how much times it takes, to the needles - thing is over? after that part , there are no hurts !? i need to go,.. this short movie was not sooo bad like i was thinking, but im not the person , in the movie :)

  • @wuermchen85 dude what?

  • @fancycat1954 really i would kill myself without those needles.. like they hurt but it need to be done!!

  • What kind of doctor do you go to for this procedure?

  • @bobbymcbob36 podiatrist

  • i have questions for you.. the first time you didnt have the root cut out and the ingrown toe nail came back but the second time you had the doctor cut the root and it hasnt came back?

  • @xLAYLOWx81 he didn't "cut" the root out, he killed it chemically with phenol. And it's been fine ever since.

  • i'm doing this tomorrow.. hope it doesn't hurt xD

  • i ts orribol

  • i wanna get this done but my damn doctor has only cut it put he didnt do all of this ive spent a hundred dollars just for it to come back and now i can barely walk on it

  • its not the hurting its the watching it being done

  • I'm glad to know that it does'nt hurt, but I am still scared cause I'm 19 years old and have never had any kind of surgery. Thanks for posting this video up. I was'nt sure what was wrong with my toe.

  • I'm probably going to have this done to me...

    FML! -.-

  • I feel ya dude i had the exact same thing 2day this mrnin n it was less dan 2 mins

  • i've gotten this done and it really did help. the only thing that went bad for me was that after he numbed my toe i really thought i couldn't feel anything so he started but then i felt it and it hurt very bad... so he numbed it more like in the same holes from before too... (soo gross) and then ya it went ok from then on.

  • I'm 14, and I've had it done 15 times. 7 if the times were numbed. The other 8 weren't.

  • just had it done last friday and yup the only thing that hurt was the freakin shots.....trying not to scare anyone.....but it was very painful....the procedure itself and afterwards was nothing...no pain as long as you do the aftercare right. It is so worth it...I had my other toe done about 3 years ago and it turned out beautiful =).....I hope to have the same with this one =)

  • Comment removed

  • had that done too

as said in part 1 the shots hurt preety bad but you didn't mention any pain after the precedure .

  • Since this was 4 years ago, have you had issues with ingrown toenails in your big toe since you had this done? I am thinking about having this surgery as well.

  • @phutzik No issues thus far.

  • I had it done 3 times!

  • But I will have it done again & hopefully he will put the ointment stuff on my toenail so it won't come back again.

  • I had this done twice on both toenails. The 1st one I had done was on my left toe and the doctor put this stuff on my toe which was good because I haven't had another ingrowing toenail on my left toenail for atleast 1 and half years. Then I had my right toenail done but it wasn't done as good as my left toenail was done, also he didn't put any stuff on my right toenail which has lead me to have another ingrowing toenail and I don't really want to go through with the pain again but I will have i

  • hey, well im just scared of the needle does the needle hurt?

  • I got one question: How much did this procedure cost?

  • that thing he ties around ur toe is surposed to stop any blood from coming out the nail, wen i had mine done there was no blood... why?

  • @dazzman2010 i am pretty sure that that is not normal so i would see someone about that? in other cases u might be fucked

  • i remember wen i got this done and the dr had those long q-tips stickin outta the sides of my top and i stared moving my toe yelling aaaaaah IM A TRICEROTOPS!!!!XD (idk if i spelled that right lol)

  • I had mine done too. 15 seconds of pain for the shots for a lifetime of no ingrown toenail....Hell yeah I'd do it again. The only thing I remember about it was the shots and the smell of that phenol!! Awful crap!

  • Hehe - "Ooh! Good thing I can't feel that..."

  • Ouch! Had this done when I was 15. Still thankful it happened. I swear, 8 years later it hurts worse to watch that to actually have it happen! When they did mine, they shoved over 3 feet of gauze into the wound. 1: packing it FELT LIKE THE BEST! It was the best itching relief I'd ever felt. 2: pulling out solved the healing itching problem. I look back and wish they could have done it to every toe I have.

  • hi there!

Did you wear sandals for that?

and will they let you wear socks after the operation?

  • hey just courais im nto having this surgery but being awake during the surgery did it make you feel nautias at all watching the doctor do this or make you wanna jerk your foot away

  • d'you think I'm wierd for wanting to be a podiatrist/chiropodist when I'm older?

  • Ugh, I had mine done twice as well. I thought the worst part was the shots, cause everything after that is painless.

  • correction in you description you said the doctor putt the acid in so that it wouldnt grow back, hmmmm just like you today 12-30-10 was my second time having to go to the doctor and they did the same thing but they apply acid to burn the roots of your nail so that it won't grown out on the sides:) thank you very much:) and yes the shot was the only hing that hurt.

  • Talk about pain ....injections made me sweat lol

  • does it hurt after?

  • i'm 15 , 15 days ago... im gonna get this surgery next year jan 4th -.- im nervous...

  • It shouldn't have bled that much. Either the tourniquet wasn't done right or he should have exsanguinated (wrapped the toe tightly before applying the tourniquet to get most of the blood out of it).

  • did it hurt?

  • @zerogravity714 please read the description.

  • can i ask a question and i need a HONEST answer....DOES IT HURT? im shitting myself please be honest im onli 19 :$

  • @spongebob3326 Its your first? It does hurt. But if given right, with care it should not hurt much. The sister was not light on the needle when I went to it. Only if its inflamed you'll see stars. Plus the shot won't work. so prepare for the wave of pain. I say if its inflamed. If not only the shot will hurt a bit. It all depends of your doctor and how he approaches the problem.

  • @spongebob3326

I'm going to get mine tomorrow, but based on all I've seen-

1.Don't move when the injection(s) occur- then the rest should follow all right.

2.Ensure request the podiatrist to use the acid procedure to kill the root. Treatment might be different depending on the severity- not sure.

  • Haha i've gotten the same procedure just 1 left on my big toe then im all good no more ingrown's :D

  • that is a lie it hurts

  • ive gotten this done twice and im just sick of the ingrown toenails on BOTH BIG TOES so im getting the surgery where i will be sedated (thank god.) and the toenail and the roots will be removed. o yeah in two weeks.

  • @rybis95 did u get the surgery yet and did it hurt

  • @xMLGxBubblesx not at all. just take your pin medicine. i just barelty fully recovered and its great.

  • I feel your pain and this video brought tears to my eye. I had an ingrown toenail for several years and the paid was unbearable, how ever I soon experienced a pain that I thought was not possible and that was the needle, omg I have never felt anything like it ever and hope I never do again.

After all that, 16 years later it hasn't came back and I now wonder why I waited so long to get it removed. It is well worth doing if anyone has an ingrown toenail and is constantly painful as mine was.

  • when he uses that big cotton bud thing, looks scary

  • I've had these so many times, it's ridiculous...Goddamn Irish dance shoes. Luckily, I could always remove these myself...without getting this procedure done.

  • I'm never cutting my toes again that's just gross

  • Thank God for anesthetics. So if you didn’t feel anything after the shot, do you suppose it will hurt to get the whole toe nail removed?

By the way, did you see your regular doctor or is this a specialist? My doctor says he can do it but I don’t really trust him. Plus I have no insurance so it will be tough to get a specialist.

  • well are you lucky.... i had the same thing but on both sides of each big toe... so you can can i had four of what you got....that was on july 14... and my toes still hurt... they're in that tender itchy phase right now.. i'm not limping but sleeping is still not good.

  • dude ive had the same thing done twice same side and same foot

  • god that gross me out

  • Do you HAVE to be awake for it?

  • and it probaly didnt hurt cause you prolly had it done before when this happend to me i almost past out

  • Oh owie......how do they stop the bleeding? Are you at least given crutches? ha

  • yeah i had my ingorwn removed 2 months ago only part that hurt is when they PULLed the needle out after that it was easy as shit

  • So he just cut a piece of your nail away or was there a separate thing in there?

  • hey a couple questions since i'm hoping to get this done...how was the healing process and was the whole procedure expensive to get done???

  • i got that done more then 4 times

  • They cut the root on mine. The doctor said the nail has a 98% chance to not grow back where u once had the nail growing, 2 months later the nail """feels""" like its growing back in the corner they cut the root. Well lol I have 2% chance its going to grow back and I think im in that 2%.

  • Did it hurt?

  • I'm also a wimpy 16 year old girl who wants to get this done. I have 2 questions. 1) Do they take your weight before/when the doctor was examining you for the growth? 2) Why is this your second time doing it? Did it reoccur on the same nail or was it on the other foot?

  • @animefreak888 1) I don't think so, but why would it matter if they did?

    2) Same nail. They didn't kill the root the first time it happened.

  • @animefreak888 ingrown nails never go away unless you burn the root

  • @animefreak888 sounds like you have a weight issue as well as toenail. why would it matter if they check your weight??

  • @animefreak888 do i sense an eating disorder ??

  • was it worth all the pain?

im a wimpy 16 year old girl and i wanna get this done, do you think i will be able to take the pain?

  • @renkenrox if you can withstand the pain of the actual ingrown toenail, this procedure shouldn't be a problem. Just don't record it like I did.

  • @renkenrox it is not worth it im 14 and it hurt sooooooo FUCKIN bad the shots in your toe r the WORST shots ull ever get..

  • @renkenrox I'm a 16 year old girl too, and its really not that bad. The shot hurt a bit, but I held my mom's hand and it was alright. The actual procedure was painless. My doctor had a sheet from his tray covering my feet so I couldn't see what was going on. You'll be ok.

  • @renkenrox that very true having the ingrown toenail is actually the worst part i should know i had to put up with it for my whole first year of middle school:(

  • @renkenrox it will feel great! Just get through it! :)

  • I'm glad they put anaestethic on, there's no way in hell I would stand the pain of that being removed.

  • i had this done on tuesday. hey now use a blue or green turnequey to cut off the circulation. after the injections of local anatheastic you cannot feel a thing and find yourself looking over at what the podiatrist is doing. it is grim but its fasinating stuff

  • OMG IT LOOKS SO GROSS I HATE SHOTS AND IN AUGUST IT WILL BE 1 SECOND TIME GETTING SUGERY AND I DONT WANNA GET THE SHOTS :"( AND I HAVE TO GET THE OTHER SIDE OF MY TOE ALSO CUZ THAT IS INGROWN TOO

  • I had this same procedure four days ago. There was no pain at all during the surgery, but it was a little pain 1-2 days after it (tylenol, 1000 mg each 4 hours according to my podiatrist). Right now I am putting an antibiotic ointment after cleaning with Oxigenated Water (hydrogen peroxid) and covering with a steril band twice at day. Moseleych please could you tell me how much did it take to heal completely the wound? Did it really work? No recurrence at all? Thank you!

  • @ferjosemef give it a couple of months it'll heal completely. No recurrence as of 3 years so far.

  • @moseleych I feel pain when I apply pressure on my toe, and the space where the nail was removed looks like pure flesh! I'm afraid that that "flesh" never heals! When you say that it will take a couple of months to heal completely, you mean that during all that time I have to continue covering the wound with sterile band and antibiotic ointment twice at day?

  • @ferjosemef no just a week or two

  • @moseleych How much time after surgery did it pass until you could walk normal again?

  • I just got one appearing I'm gettin it taken out later :/ i've had it done 3 times and I'm 11 fuck me man it's horrible

  • im scared for mine im only 14!

  • @bbfan240 im 16, its freaky :(

  • i had mine done but never looked omg makes me have weird feeling in toe

  • so the acid is so the nail wont grow back? thats narly

  • ive just had both toes done within minutes of each other. One of my toes didnt numb completely the first time so I had to get two more shots in it. The shots suck so much!

  • I'm getting this done tomorrow and I'm 12 -_- at least it's only 1 toe and one side thank god it's only one I'm scared as HELL D:

  • What did he do to you in 1:03? Pls tell me there's soo much blood D:

  • rofl i had this done today and they actually made me look away so i had to seen what they did to me.

  • Im having this done next week, this video has reassured me that it is not so bad :)

  • Comment removed

  • why is there black stuff in there?

  • surgery? this is super advanced toenail clipping ;D haha no, I'm actually surprised how simple that was. Oh man kinda gross lookin though lol.

  • ahaha....

  • So that bit of ur toe aint growin back?

  • @salman12322

there was no "toe" removed only toenail. An ingrown toenail is when the sides grow inwards into the toe and it becomes very painful sometimes to the point of where you have to go and have it "surgically" removed.

  • Just had this done today, thank God I didn't watch the vid before I got it done. The procedure itself doesn't hurt but the shot...the shot is really quite painful.

  • I was all in this video...lol

  • @Plaguex159 ???

  • yuckie!!! :P i had open heart surgery ..

  • thanks for the vid

  • When You Had It the first time why didn't they put the acid in then?

  • @MoBroes I don't know.

  • I can vouch on this procedure that it did not hurt at all. I just got it done one week ago on both big toes. The podiatrist makes sure he uses plenty of anesthesia that you can't feel a damn thing! This is the first time i'm watching the procedure because I couldn't bear to watch it in person. The magazine was on my nose the whole time!

  • GODDAMN!!!! I remember this moment for myself. Intense stuff watching the doctor just dig in and rip it out like it's butter. However, I couldn't be more thankful after getting it done, it was soooo relieving.

  • HOLY CRAP!! Ive had this done before, but i wasnt aloud to watch. HOLY CRAP!!! XDDD i cant believe they did that to my toe!! SICK!!! xDD

  • did that today....FOR THE 11th TIME!!! and hopefully the last one...

  • Yes it does hurt as i had my last friday and the only thing hurts is the needles in the toe

  • this doesn't look too bad. i'm going to get both of my big toes checked out by a podiatrist soon then most likely just have the nails removed because i cannot deal with this pain anymore, having flat feet doesnt help either. are you able to stand/work after you get this done or have to rest for a few days?

  • fuck that

  • the acid stuff.... was it albothyl ?

I did have the same procedure twice on my left toe. I guess it's the same, the pain was really hell during the local anesthesia. The diference with yours was, the doctor tourniquet my toe first before shooting all those anesthetic stuff.

  • What does the acid do? Not grow back that bit of toenail?

  • this is so discgusting wronts

  • Did you have to go to the hospital to get it done or did they just do it at the doctors?

  • just had mine done infected for a month and horribly in deep the only thing that hurt was the first needle XD and im a baby i got into seziures when i get around needles and this one didnt bother me. Do the best thing lean back dont look and breath slowly!

  • im getting my big toe done later once my attempt heals, i have to limp do i need crutches ?

  • omg, i had to do that too. those numbing shots were the worst.

  • Did this hurt?

  • after you get the surgery will i still be able to run or do i have to stay off it for a few days?

  • @mnolan132 your foot will be fairly numb for a few hours after you get it done but you can run as much as you want the next day. or at least i could. i didn't need crutches or anything. i don't think you're supposed to need them. if you have to walk on crutches after this surgery, your doctor did something horribly wrong. lol.

  • jesus christ, brother. i had one of mine done. and you're right - only the shots hurts. but goddamn it was disturbing to watch. lol.

  • @MakeJoyfulNoise hell yeah....when i had mine done the shot hurt, but they put up a little sheet so i wouldn't see what he was doing....so watching this is FREAKING me out and I can't believe that's what happened lmao! whoa! If I ever have to do one again I don't think I will just because of this video lol

  • When i had mine done, the needles were the worst part

especially the one under the bridge in my toe, damn that one hurt

  • Ive had a wicked bad ingrown toe nail for close to 7 months now. And I have been avoiding the doctor like the plague I really dont want to have to go get this done ugg..Im trying everything else but this for now Hopefully I wont need this.

  • @nekocatgirl just suck it up and go. seriously. it's the best option you have.

  • @subaru84 actually I managed to get it out msyelf and my toes completely healed I just kept soaking it and kept it clean it now its fine thankfully.

  • Did it hurt? I can't stand pain, so I hope it does not hurt. It didn't hurt right? I mean, not real bad. On a scale from one to 5, did it hurt like a 5? It did hurt, right? Be honest with me man, it hurt right?

  • @StellarBlue1 Read the description.

  • So I've had this done on both of my big toes on both sides. It is not the shot that hurts. It's the lidocaine itself. However, it's only for a few seconds and then you start to go numb and your toe feels really big but not painful. The procedure is painless. Don't suffer with this. Just go get it taken care of and you will be so much better off. There is not a lot of pain afterward either. I am a waiter and I went to work the same day that I had this done.

  • @StellarBlue1 I just had this procedure done maybe half an hour ago.

It pinched a little when they put the needles in (which they did about 4 times) and it felt like my toe had fallen asleep when they removed the side of the nail. Other than that, I really didn't feel much. I was TERRIFIED at the start, but save your nerves, if your doc is good, you won't feel much of anything at all.

  • my problem is im afraid of needles

  • @Generalmortious ME TOOOOOO!

  • i think i should stop eating while watching this video

  • @iloveeatingglue lol i totally agree with you xD I have a bad habit of watching like surgery when i eat...

  • I had two ingrown toenails taken out and coz Australia has great health care, they dont cheap out and use a bit of plastic and scissors to cut off the blood supply. And they also use a different chemical here, a stronger liquid acid which results in no after pain and no black shit. I've watched several of these vids that have been done in America, and it's horrifying to see what they do...

  • I Also had this done SEVERAL times.Started when I was 10 or so. It kept coming back over the years and they finally had to use acid to kill the nerve. Suprisingly the only part that hurt were the needles. I was so glad I couldn't feel that.

  • then i remember getting on a table while feeling like i was a drunk old bitch then i got my surgery on both of my toes then i woke up in the recovery room

  • hahahahahhhahahahha here is my procedure i went in the hospital at 5:30 got in this room with my sis and my mom then i had to take off all my clothes no doctores were in the room i took off my clothes put a gown on then went to the restroom the doctor came in and said its time to get an iv which went in my arm under my arch between my arm or shoulder and then they left came back about 30 minutes later and gave me amnestisha so i couldn't fell anything i mean it felt like i got knocked out

  • i had 2 ingrown toenails on both toes the shots stung a lil bu the removing of the toenail didint.but the numbing stoped like 10 min after the surgery!!!it hurt so badly. But now they grew back cuz he didint give me any acid and now i gotta go again :(

  • my toe was numb. about 2 more surgeries coming up soon.! CANT WAIT! its so amusing

  • when i got my one removed it hurt like all hell he diddnt let my toe go numb at all!!!

  • @Doc202 Thats oretty bad

  • omfg my legs trembling the whole way

  • oh good taht is so ugly!!!

  • I had this happen to me like half of my nail was removed and i was wondering if it will grow back? Anyone know?

  • mines come back 4 times now after my first one

  • OH MY GOD! HOT DAMN!

Imagine this surgery happening without numbing your toe! SDUFOISDFOUE(RUF)SDUF!!

  • dude it hurt for me still with 4 numb shots. Oh and it will hurt like hell after its not numb (6-9 hrs)

  • k so im getting mine done (i dont know when) but i have a few questions

    1. what does it hurt like afterwards

    2. can i still play soccer after

    3. will the toenail grow back?

  • doesnt hurt after or throughout the procedure...yes you can still play soccer...no the nail doesnt grown back but the skin does...i removed mine myself by getting some ice and putting it on my toe tll numb and then get something to shove down the side of the nail and then get nail clippers and clip it....im 14 and a girl it didnt hurt me
