  • grazie per questo prezioso video .... grande performance del gruppo !

  • The intro of this song reminds me of "Don't Speak" by No Doubt.

  • Wordless...almost.Sublyme and more.

  • Just got to be one of the best lead guitar licks around and when combined with the lyrics and other band backing is just sooo good!

This is somehow even better in some ways than the studio track.

Another good guitar lick is on "On Stage Before".

    Those naughty French revolutionaries.

  • Thanks a million, Emilio! I've been looking for a live "Palace" for quite some time --- not only is this one of Al's best songs (which is saying a lot, when you consider its "competition" :-) ), but we get to see Tim Renwick get off one of his two greatest solos, also (the other one, and the only one that can "hold a candle" to this one, being that lalapalooza of a "ride" on "Life in Dark Water").

  • Did you know that Al Stewart was inspired by The English Composer William Byrd's The Earl of Salisbury.

  • @zurrillo1 Hello, great tip pal...and thanks for directing me to the Pavane. It sheds light on his creating process. Al's a bard of our times. Cheerio...

  • It's wonderful to hear Al ...

  • it is a pity. it is not the original .

  • I'm a "hip guy." Really. The Beatles-Sgt Pepper...Stones. Hendrix. Velvet Underground. Traffic. Doors. Cream. ..I heard the Album "Time Passages" in about 1978, maybe 79'. Listened to it 24/7 for a month.I thought it was a GREAT album. I couldn't get over it. I couldn't understand why it wasn't featured in Time Magazine or something. It was like I had a secret that no one else knew. Wonderful album....like Dr Sardonicus {Spirit} that not that many people know about. Love this song.

  • @kentucy9999 ,..One more thing. This is a very "deep" album. People think about the historical aspects of it and the music which gives you that "feel" etc but this is actually kind of a melancholy album. This album is about TIME and the fact that TIME literally goes by and it is all over and you kind of look back and say, "what was that all about?" There is alot of existentialism in this album. Listen to "A man for all seasons." To tell you the truth quite depressing in some ways but I loved it.

  • unforgivable lyrics . bonapatre was a bad person . why sonostalgic about an era he never lived ?

  • thank for a great song ! capolavoro

  • Großartiger Song des Pop-Poeten Al Stewart. Über Jahrzehnte erstklassige Musik aus seiner Feder.

  • Good history lesson/great song

  • Wonderful song I love it

  • One great song man.

    thank you so much.
