Appalling casting, wooden performances and pisspoor directing. A shocking letdown after the brilliant Finney-Redgrave accomplishment. Gleeson plays Churchill as witless, charmless, dispeptic, grouchy -- and DULL! Ugh!!

He's 6'2 in height, damn I wish I was about the same height.. I'm only a5'10,5 guy.. I don't know why, but 6'2 seems like it's the ideal height. You're tall enough, but not so tall that you look weird. And 6'2 guys DOES make a good impression. Much is psychological ofc. And 6'2 guys looks great in tuxedo. Well that felt very offtopic, anyway Brendan Gleeson is just a wonderful actor, I really liked him as Hamish in Braveheart :)

He played a great Churchill and had the mannerisms down pat. That's the role of a lifetime to play!

I'm delighted that his work on this was recognised. I've watched Into The Storm three times now, thought Brendan Gleeson was amazing in it.
