  • @kdywau you must be deaf, blind and dumb

  • with john o'hagan's 32 at 3:45min it is better to play 13/10*/8 by according to GNUBG. it wins 1% more games ;-)

  • this voice makes me sick..

  • I love backgammon. And for those who say Backgammon is entirely luck... Backgammon does use the luck of the dice, but the player must then adapt his strategy to the lucky dice roll. It's alot more strategetic then some think.

  • What accent has that guy got? The commentator?

    Sounds really peculiar.

  • @DutchCourageWhoohoo maybe some newyork regional accent but sounds like he has a slight speech impediment.

  • Re "BG is luck":

There is a simple way to control the extent to which luck is a factor: play a match to a higher number of points. You may get lucky and beat a good player in a single game, but you need skill to win a long match. This is why the World Championship is to 25.

Contending otherwise just shows an ignorance of the game.

  • is dont think so, it plays a role, but you have to think cleaver 2

  • at 4.02 minutes he gets 3 n 5 with 2 open on the great BS yahoo games many times when u have EVERYTHING CLOSED BUT THE ONE HE WILL GET A 1 N 6 TO GET U U WONT LAND WITH 3 OPEN TILL THE OTHER PLAYER started picking his men up not crooked of course u winn the lotto everyday why is it fixed the Crap internet games real games are Very different from shit internet games the novice may win once or twice but he will usually lose except of course on thegreat yahoo

  • I play plenty of real games and that BS happens just as much with real dice. Crazy things happen - get over it.

  • yes i have to agree with this one its a lot of luck But there is also the law of average that does exist in real games But does Not on internet games they are total shambles in reality yahoo was good once total Random now its been americanised its f.... its easier to winn tho lotto everyday than get the kind of rolls yahoo dishes out

others too the more novices they get to play on their sides the more money from the adds

  • what a crappy camera!

  • I play backgammon for fun and while luck is involved, to play well you need to manage risk.

What an awesome quote: "So, you are the world backgammon champion, you have won a substantial amount of money - what do you intend to do with it?"

    "save it".

  • If you think this game is luck, download GNUbackgammon (free) and try to win a match... Unless you are a very good player you will loose almost every game.

  • chess

  • You must know how to play and how too see the game tactics , but also you got to have a bunch of luck so the dice can roll in your favor .

  • I don't know how to play backgammon =/

  • Not luck, the best player always wins.

  • Sure, luck is involved. And maybe you could beat them in a single game. That's why they play a 25 point match. Skill tends to win out over the long run. Try to learn something about the game before making ignorant comments.

  • @davidklausa I am still trying to learn how to play Backgammon, but still cannot figure out how. :(

  • If you're not just ignorant, immature, and insecure, join GamesGrid backgammon (online)as a paid member - only $25 for 3 months - and put your money where your mouth is! I'd be happy to play you - I'll try almost anything once - I've only won a few small tournaments, so you shouldn't have much trouble! :)

  • QUE BONITO
