I was literally walking past this as the news vans were filming on Buena Vista & Florida! I don't know who did it, and I don't want to know. A word about Hemet though...we are a small city of many displaced workers. The housing is expensive, unless you are a senior citizen, then you can get a decent home rental for $600 or so. This is a recipe for anger and violence. Like rats in a cage. I am afraid this is the future of small town USA.

I'm in Alberta and our gang problems arn't as extreme but we are hearing more and more about gang violence in our cities. Yes us Canadians are know as polite nice people till we get our backs to the wall. I find our biggest problem with Americans is the way they act towards us as if we couldn't live without them when we are doing just fine on our own. I agree with others that you don't really know who set the fires, George. It just makes the cops harass possibly innocent people. "Oh you look like a gangster. Maybe you bombed our vehicles..." I have seen this personally. I gave a guy a dollar and an officer came up and frisked him and then told me the guy was always asking for money but has a job. I told him, "So? It's only a dollar." I was literally walking past this as the news vans were filming on Buena Vista & Florida! I don't know who did it, and I don't want to know. A word about Hemet though...we are a small city of many displaced workers. The housing is expensive, unless you are a senior citizen, then you can get a decent home rental for $600 or so. This is a recipe for anger and violence. Like rats in a cage. I am afraid this is the future of small town USA.

Four city trucks set on fire? All things considered, this isn't ttoo bad. If you want to talk bad, look at the border towns where open warfare is waged with gangs and police fighting each other with automatic weapons, kidnappings, women raped and left for dead in the desert.
