You watched Battle of the Planets. This is not a remake but the same show. Both were american edits of the anime Gatchaman the 70s version had more content removed and added stupid robot sequences and this one is more faithful though still heavily edited.

Yeah I know it started as a Japanese show but this is just a cheap remake of the older american version. They changed some things but what they changed sucked.

Don't let nostalgia blind you, the first american version is absolutely terrible and added scenes that added nothing to the show and made little sense. The second version is not censored as much and is a much better adaptation.

The original English version of the theme song did have a voice that occasionally yelled "G-FORCE!", but the foreign language versions removed the "G-FORCE" cry because it was in English. This clip is from the Spanish version, "Fuerza G", which doesn't have as nice of a ring to it. :P

Only 13 (our of 85) episodes of G-Force have been released on DVD to date, half of those collected on the "Best of G-Force" DVD (not in episode order) and the other 6 spread out across the first six volumes of Rhino's "Battle of the Planets" DVD's as extra episodes (1 episode per DVD, Episodes 1 to 6). "G-Force" is unlikely to ever receive a full DVD release, so old VHS recordings are your best bet.

I've seen this show long time ago on Cartoon Network. I don't remember how old I was.

I also saw the uncut Gatchaman in this present day, which is better than the other one.

I still remember some parts of the episodes way back but did not know that some scenes from any anime show are uncut because of the intense effects of violence and other stuff that's appropriate to us American viewers.
