Burners go to participate or watch this mock violence voluntarily for fun. If you're not into it, no worries, lots of love-oriented stuff for you to do. There are all kinds of things at burning man, almost none of which appeal to everyone. No need to "do away with" them, IMHO.
Let's do away with the Thunderdome fight at Burning Man .. There is enough fighting in the world don't you think ? We go to BM to express our love for our fellow Man. Keep the Dark Side out of this wonder gathering.
