  • You eat Spanner Crabs completely raw? I have no idea that they can be eaten raw, my friend. I realized that Spanner Crabs live in Hawaii, as well as in Australia. Do you know that there are more Spanner Crabs in Australia, than in Hawaii. Wow, thanx for the info. :-)

  • i love it, evry time i go for my vacation in the philippines i would go to the market buy and cook it by myself. it is called curacha in my country. i feel hungry now i miss eating this curacha.

  • Yup, we did eat them stir-fried but they didn't seem that meaty, maybe they (the trawler) gave us the really small ones instead of the large ones (that were probably kept to sell away)

    the common names are SPANNER CRAB and FROG CRAB

  • You are right. . They taste good but they have too much bone. here in Australia they are called spanner crab. In the Philippines they are called curacha.
