this is a great interview. when I come across great music that is new to me (if I discover it after it's been around for awhile), I always want to know about the musician--their inspiration, process, etc. Even if you don't dig his music, you have to respect him as a legit musician who has a lot to say, who cares deeply about his process, and is a unique in the music industry. very cool.
He's music is like many of the pop music today, Where technicaly it's just pluging it into consumer tech and playing around in the editor. To make the acoustic better. But what makes Gotye amazing is that he turns it into art. He actualy spends time and himself collects and thinks about how he uses each component. That is what makes him special.
Most interesting artist indeed....the kind that inspires other artists to proceed on forward.
