Because in those days, Mao and Arutunian(coach) had good relationship.

And Japanese usually don't give someone a hug.

So probably Mao just got lost for a moment, that's it.

i adore the part at the begining (0:28 - 0:41) when mai goes get her little sister, Mao, who is all by herself... that right there is extremely adorable, what a great relationship they have... and a question after that is Mai doing a triple axel? o.O underrotated but amazing

about mai's 3A:

Yes, in those days Mai could do that jump, but she could not get a '3A' judgment in the competition. So it's not official record.

She kown as a elegant skater, but she's also an excellent jumper who could do 5 kind of triple jumps.

But now she have a hard time to land each of triple jumps, because of repeated injuries(sprain, stress fracture, ...) for the last few years.

This season Mai can not entry for GPS competitions. But she's keeping her motivation and making an effort hardly.

And she already participated in three local competitions and got the qualification of 'Japan National Championships'.

I think that is worthy of praise.

But I'm not certain about 'Salmon Sam ros'. Because subtitles are Japanese, and searching 'Salmon Sam ros' with google, I could find only one result.

Incidentally, subtitles said like this, "fried salmon topped with oyster source".
