Not so bad as it seemed at first. The mats absorbe the impact. I think she had a scare and that is why she kept lying on the floor. At 1:05 she still thinks "what on earth has happened?" but then she realizes that everything is OK.

@DerBochumer76 Although I don't know much about gymnastics, I actually think it was best that she stayed on the floor for a minute, until she knew she was okay. Whatever caused her to have that type of fall may have shocked her body in some way for a minute.  Had she tried to move before she was totally "with it," she may have gotten hurt.

@SLuMberMoOn7 Look at the ones attached to the low bar. They both look like jump ropes the way they keep sloping up and down bouncing like that. Yes they need to have a small amount of play on them but they are there for stability. Check out an uneven bars routine from the 2011 Worlds, there are more cables too. Sydney had awful equipment they really screwed up the gymnastic competition. You would think that in prelims when nearly everyone fell on vault they would have checked the equipment.

@ULibby But the bars weren't shaking like that for everyone at those Games. Some gymnasts like Beth Tweddle prefer the bars a bit looser, for example.

This is basic chiropractical knowledge.
