great tune once again and this great song came out the year i graduated from high school the class of 85 God bless this era were the hell the time go life is flying bye way to fast
I use to drive around listening to this song in my Z/28 with a long mullet, stone-wash jeans and cowboy boots, thinking I was pretty cool.... Well in the 80's it was, I wouldn't have changed a thing!
@Thunder1105 At least all that can be changed. Today people tattoo and pierce and gauge the bejesus out of themselves. WTF is THAT gonna look like in 20+ years? Freaky, ugly shit. Same as it is now.
this is how videos were in the early-mid 80's! It was awesome, because we always knew the videos looked cheesy, but it was all about the music for these bands, not making more money then they knew what to do with..... I got to see these guys in 2003, they are good live still!
The first album is good. They were a damn good band. There plenty of good tunes on there (that are not hits, I can relate to Funny Business), but I remember the debut of this video on video hits. The entire Big Prize album is their best. Excellent album. They took the basic rock formula from the first album and stepped it up with some 80ish electronic sounds. Ray was a great keyboard player. One of the few guys who ever made rock keyboard legit cool. No kid today can do that. I saw them on RAM
Ah... Honeymoon Suite, another great Canadian band of the 1980's. Am I the only one who thinks HS deserves the kind of fame and CD sales Nickelback has?
My roommate freshman year at Penn State gave me a cassette tape copy of The Big Prize. It's still in my top 5 favorite albums. 1986 was a great year in college! This song always brings me back to that fall.
born in 86, stayed in 80s child. i'll never listen to shit called 'music' these days. i can barely remember what MTV was like in the early 90s...man how times have changed:(
The 80's absolutely rocked! The best music, great movies. Miss miss miss those days. Crusing at the beach with HM Suite, VH, Rush, Foreigner, etc. al blasting on the speakers. We had a big group of guys and girls that hung out, dated, partied, unbelievable times. Wish I could go back to visit......
Ahhh, this song. Parking out by the old Rocky Ridge bridge with friends, drinking, cranking up the tunes to wake the farmers, sleeping bag spread on the hood of my car. I want my 80s back.
im 16 and Honeymoon Suite is one of my favorite bands. i thank my mom for showing me these guys~ they are awesome. 70s, 80s, and 90s were the best!! :D

What I would do for a tenth of that much hair today. (On his scalp, that is.) :-) Ah the 80s. I'm 46 now, but when I hear songs like this, I feel it again.
I was 12 going 13 then & thought that this song was absolutely fantastic. The sad thing is that I actually DID NOT know the name of this band until I typed in the title here recently.

Sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but I don't like this song. I like to say the words go "To hear it again, I thought that this fart would never end" LOL
ah yes this brings back memories. This was about the time I just moved out on my own, and made myself deaf listening to these tunes WAY too loud in my 1974 Cordoba, with a stereo system worth more than the car.
I was 34 when this came out back in 1985. I remember driving through the Colorado Rockies with my teenaged son in the car who liked Motley Crue at the time blasting this out. Even he liked it. I cant believe I can look back on this song at 60 and still enjoy it like I did.
Ahhh. If only I could get a do-over. Was 19 when this came out. WTF was I thinking getting married straight out of basic training? I digress as I close my eyes hoping when I open them this past 26 yrs is just some frigging nightmare of the future.
@bndhdsn That is very sad that you feel the life you have built the last 26 years is a nightmare...I wonder if your spouse and if you have kids feel the same.
@Mikesills44 what in the hell do you expect from 1985 man?? the video's made back then were considered "cutting edged technolgy",,example,, go watch money for nothing,,that was state of the art,,for the middle 80's. you obviouly don't pay much attension,,so please do us people who graduated in the 1980's a favor,,go back to watching lady kaka,,justin beiber,,and selena gomez!! dont come here to my party and shit in my pool!!! the class of 1986 is still in session!!

@Mikesills44 yea right,,you had that kind of money,,you wouldn't be out here on you tube. now leave mommy and daddy's laptop alone,,go back into the closet, and tell nobody about your the pettifile the cops are looking for.
@EXTIQUE So no response to the wife and dog beating comments eh, so it has to be true. And way to lower yourself to the point of calling me a 'pettifile'... you are a real idiot, and try 'spell check' you LOSER. (pedophile) Please don't come back with "uh, duh, you must be a pettifile if you know how to spell it, hahahahahaha" or you will make yourself look even more of an immature idiot.
7 people can't "feel it again" and this is an amazing song, i heard it while working at the farm, and since then ive listend to it on my ipod 79 times, this sound never gets old or boring!
This is a great song. Memories of a love that I still can't seam to heal. Hearing this song makes me feel it again. Thanks for posting this song, It's been a long time.
@zepolep2112 Dig that. There was this girl I had a major crush on when I was a sophmore and this song takes me all the way back. What an awesome song.
I'm the CEO of my company. I have a Pioneer record player, Sony CD player & a Marantz receiver in my office. My CFO, who is a 35-year veteran drummer & still plays in a band that does weddings (he & I are both 47), were listening, air drumming, keyboarding & guitaring this song along with other Suite tunes on vinyl. The Canadian Rock scene in the 1980's was simply off-the-charts.
Ironically when these amazing songs played on TV I only heard about them from other people, and never saw them. Now, at 47, I can watch this video whenever I want.
Fall/Winter 1985. Ruidoso,New Mexico. The Snow. The Mountains. This tune on the radio. Incredible how a song can conjure up a specific time in your life. I was 21 in 1985. Senior year in college. I can still smell the pines.......................Gosh how time has flown.
I really don't want it to be 1985 again, since I was just born LOL but I still listen to this, and I actually worked with the drummers wife... I don't know how many drummers they go through (spinal tap anyone?) but this was about 5 years ago.
I looked for a dress like hers back in '85. All I found was a white backless one from Le Chateau, wore it, and was told that I was a slut with it on....What did she know, eh?
I wanted to see them since they wrote the song to: "Lethal Weapon". I missed them by a week in Toronto. I finally got to see them some 25 years later at the Sydney Waterfront, N.S. Still as Awesome!
A forgotten canadian gem imho. 80's videos were cheesy but fun. I think because having a video channel was a new concept videos were more or less experimental and they just had fun.
Totally rocked with these guys at a concert in Toronto in '86!! They would pull more panties than Whitesnake or Winger on a good day! Thanks for the memories guys!!
Glendogrich has it right....what a time machine. I played in the 1985 Ontario Winter Games and stayed in Niagara Falls. These guys were just hitting the top of their game and were the soundtrack to that winter. Awesome!! They don't make music like this any more......and that is a cryin' shame.
@bigdsears dude, too funny, I'm wid ya, I got a cupla on ya, and thats how i feel. I was always ready to take on the world back then, as long as it included a few basics, a 6pck, a bong and 80's hard rock, lol. Fist in the air atcha bro'.
@bigdsears we are with you mate. we are all the same. some people who were not in the "rock" scene say "are you sure you were not looking at life through rose coloured specs?". yeah, maybe i was. i mean, what was really special about seeing 2 or 3 big bands play concert every week? following bands around the country? what was special about living on takeaways and drinking till 2.00am 5 nights a week with your good friends? queues at the second hand record store every saturday morning.? mmmmmm?
@bigdsears LMAO! Unfortunately, I'll be 40 this year and I so "feel" ya. Getting old sucks! At least we have awesome "oldies" to ease the pain, right?
Another underrated 80's band such as in Zebra, Kingdom Come, and Y&T. I could feel it again, when I think about those dayz back in the 80's, the girls, tight jeans, levi jacket, puma shoes, le tigre polo shirts, long hair, the music then can't never die...it is with you always. Come and feel it again, as long its there.....

@nerthania no worries.....if people said you looked like a slut you must be hot.....ha ha.

I wanted to see them since they wrote the song to: "Lethal Weapon". I missed them by a week in Toronto. I finally got to see them some 25 years later at the Sydney Waterfront, N.S. Still as Awesome!

Saw them at Expo 86!!!!! Oh man.... to be 21 again enjoying that summer in Vancouver. What a party :)

My favorite song from the Fantastic The Big Prize album. It oozes of the fall of freshman year at Penn State. 86-90 were the best years of my life!!!

A forgotten canadian gem imho. 80's videos were cheesy but fun. I think because having a video channel was a new concept videos were more or less experimental and they just had fun.

Glendogrich has it right....what a time machine. I played in the 1985 Ontario Winter Games and stayed in Niagara Falls. These guys were just hitting the top of their game and were the soundtrack to that winter. Awesome!! They don't make music like this any more......and that is a cryin' shame.

@bigdsears we are with you mate. we are all the same. some people who were not in the "rock" scene say "are you sure you were not looking at life through rose coloured specs?". yeah, maybe i was. i mean, what was really special about seeing 2 or 3 big bands play concert every week? following bands around the country? what was special about living on takeaways and drinking till 2.00am 5 nights a week with your good friends? queues at the second hand record store every saturday morning.? mmmmmm?

Another underrated 80's band such as in Zebra, Kingdom Come, and Y&T. I could feel it again, when I think about those dayz back in the 80's, the girls, tight jeans, levi jacket, puma shoes, le tigre polo shirts, long hair, the music then can't never die...it is with you always. Come and feel it again, as long its there.....
