We do know, however, that at least one of the criminals should not have been on the street. He never should have been on parole. It's too bad that there was not a trial for either defendants. This crime does not appear to be random as the media and police would portray it to be. With a plea bargain in both cases, there is evidence that will not be presented to the public. Most unusual is that the police never released the complete details of the autopsy report. Only a partial report was given to media outlets. The defendants were not granted a change of venue which may be the reason for their "confessions."

From the search warrants released just yesterday, it appears that Ms. Carson was not carjacked or abducted on her way to campus, but rather she was rousted from her bed at gun point. The two perps apparently walked into her house via an open/unlocked door.
e.g. Her body was found in the middle in the street in a t-shirt and sweatpants, no underwear -- suggesting pajamas. In any event, a horrific crime and she was a completely innocent random victim.

We can't say she was at the wrong place at the wrong time because we don't know what investigators found. Did they break into her house? We just don't know. We do know, however, that at least one of the criminals should not have been on the street. He never should have been on parole. In one sense, this never should have happened and the finger of blame should be pointed at the legal system. This is just WRONG that this could have been prevented and was not.

We must let the investigation conclude, and pray they reveal the truth and don't "plea bargain" to avoid a trial. And they will want to avoid a trial. They do not want this played out in the press. Because we may find out things we don't want to about what happened that night. If there is a trial, we will find out what happened between 1:30 to 5 a.m. Did they break in? Did she offer them a ride? How did Eve and the suspects meet? THAT is what I want to know. But THEY don't want us to know.

I think that blacks can overcome the affects of slavery, but it does have an affect. When blacks were given freedom, they didn't start off on the same foot as whites. Also, in any given nation, the ones who are in power do anything they can to keep the power amongst themselves. Do people really believe that blacks being oppressed is a myth? The Civil Rights Act was signed into legislation in 1965(which is why it is called the Civil Rights Act of 1965), by an uncivil president who commanded the killing of thousands of people in their own country.
People who are treated civilly will typically behave civilly. There is no proof that civility is a genetic disposition.
The British are pretty uncivil. Historically, some of things the royal families have done are pretty darn atrocious.
