ronan o gara has done exceptionally well as a kicking flyhalf and has guided ireland to many victories, but i dont rate him as a great player. he doesnt have the other essential skills to become great, no speed, no power, distribution is reasonable, but he just cant compare to the modern day fly half such as carter and cooper ( on a good day)
