Ohh come on people, Warcraft 3 turned out awsome! I mean if Warcraft 3 turned out like this, we would have WoW with very bad graphics. Now we have Warcraft 3 AND WoW! (Not that wow's graphics are super awsome but they still beat the heck out of this)

This should have been Warcraft 3!!! Because with Warcraft 3 and WoW they thrashed the old gritter and dark heroic fantasy of the Warcraft world, and thanks by mainstream media!!! It's a disgrace to hear people say that World of Warcraft is Warcraft, because it isn't! Why?! Because everything that were "Warcraft" in the first two games have been totally scrapped! So, recently i sent a crymail to Blizzard (Of course with constructive explanations), and here what they answered to me!

"Hello Jack,Thank you for contacting Blizzard Europe Technical Support regarding this request.We are very sorry, but we are unable to release these pre-alpha and alpha versions of Warcraft III to the public at this time.

We apologise that we cannot help in this regard."

This would have been interesting but I think they went the right way with the final version of WC3. It remained true to its roots as an RTS, but ~IT RETAINED THE ABILITY TO PLAY LIKE THIS VIDEO~. Using the extensive WC3 World Editor, it is entirely possible to make a map like this.

Clearing things up:

This is what Blizzard was doing with WC3 as a prototype. The game ended up a lot different from what you see here and made into a more starcraft based game. This is back when they thought that there was going to be 6 races, unlike the 4 that we see today. This video was probably made in 1998 or 1999.

no its warcraft 3 if you never noticed in a game you can use page up page down and bottuns around it to change the camra and in making maps you can do whatever you want..

Even with the huge storyline of the finished WC3/TFT, this attempt would've created a much more immersive experience.

Looking at the enormous differences to the retail version, I'd even consider this as a cancelled game, which was replaced by the RTS WC3 we know.

Like Warcraft Adventures, this is another Blizzard game with a heavy emphasis on story that'll never see the light of day.

Hopefully they'll pick up the original RPS concept again for another game.
