i think they did something pretty cool here. it doesn't even bother to try to be a mimic of the original, which is a wise idea. they made something of their own that has a nice groove to it. i'm an AC/DC fan, and Back In Black is my #1 album AND my favorite song by them. i'm not generally very tolerant of covers, but i've heard even Malcolm likes this version.
Of all the covers of Back in Black, this is deffinitely up there, obviousely nothing compares to the original......gotta respect them for doing something different with it. Nice to see various genre's of music collaborating together.
i think you guys are getting a little worked up for no reason, i love this because it teachs the new generation about how old school rock is awesome in a way that they can relate to it.
It's kinda cool... a lil bit too much going on at the same time...it's hard to pick apart.. the 2nd guitar distortion sounds like a tin can! stop it!!
AD/DC are soooo over rated.. I've been listening to Heavy Rock/Metal since 1980.... this is different and that's what dinosaur rock needs, something different :-)
OK,Santana and Nas did a song together, and y'all ask WTF is this? This is some real music,an example of how mixing of music genres should sound like.Santana is a genius and Nas is one of the best MC's ever.Great combination.
the awkward moment when Nas is getting maximum hate when he is the man who created Illmatic and shaped an entire generation of hip hop emcees, plus lyrical wrestled a rap giant like Jay-Z with the track "Ether". I can't help but LOL. Before someone flames me, I'm a fan of AC/DC and I did my research. LOL 200x
With cover songs like this they have to get the original artists permission. Of course they accept partly due to the money but in a way they won't want their beloved song ruined. So ac/dc must like it in some way
I have plenty of respect for Santana but Back in Black is better as an AC/DC song Nas altered the lyrics and honestly I don't approve it not even once so I voted down. Sorry
Lighten up people! Yeah--nothing will top the original--but this is a very cool and fun--reinterpretation of the original! You can't just do an imitation of something great, what's the point? If your gonna do it---mix it up! Bravo Carlos and Nas!(Whatever a 'Nas' is?)
It's about a year later and this is still garbage. Nas still sucks and AC/DC still sold 49 MILLION copies of the original version. Nas is all but forgotten.
I thought this was kinda cool since Nas is my favorite rapper and no offense (i know Im gonna get a lot of hate for this even though it's my own opinion) ACDC isn't the best band ever and to me personally they are ok
In contest after contest of best Rock n Roll bands ever of all times, ACDC perennially scores amongst the top R&R bands. But you're entitled to your opinions and likes & dislikes. IMO Nas ruins it for saN tana, Carlos; go figure.
@BulletFrenzy543 - No you are right on the money, don't let all these 40-50 something's tell you AC/DC is infallible, they were never anything more than a decent bar band with a good guitar player, that's it.
comentarios racistas every where, no entiendo nada, que mierda de mundo es este, que mierda de personas, todos somos iwales, color, el estilo de nadie es razon para decir que esta cancion es mala, porke no lo es....ami me gusta y mucho *__*
hahahah, I despise all you ignorant fucks, AC/DC's discography consists basically of one mediocre song played all over again with slight riff and lyrics changes, so I guess that's great that a cover like that exists. and it's the best song off this record.
@Krowencja Yep I guess they must be crap..after all they only sold more than 200 million albums worldwide, but then a muppet like you is probably tone deaf anyway. How many records have you sold moron? Yeah thats what I thought.... You go listen to your C & W in the corner like a good muppet.
I hear all of you who don't like this, but . . . . . . I have had this cd for a while and to be honest, I really have come to love it. This track in particular, I really dig. I'm a bit on the older side and I don't really get rap, but I love the female singers in the back and I really like it. Chill a bit and let it soak. You might come to like it too. If not, cut Carlos a break, he's a legend and music is an art, Maybe this is his Picasso. It's all great shit.
@Edgarsquires I agree. These young guys are so hasty. My dad's an old dj and always tells me to listen to a song a few times to see if you really like it. This isn't that bad at all...my first time listening too.
I have the complete discography of Carlitos Santana. I love his begginings in the late '60s. He introduced a new sound for the electric guitar, with a lot of rythm and passion, very good percussion... and he continued doing amazing music for a long time (blues, rock, jazz, pop...). But in the last decade, after Supernatural album, I don't recognize him. It's a pitty.
Carlitos, ojalá recuperases tu sonido, tu identidad, tu fuerza, ojalá vuelvas algún día!!
From a HUGE AC/DC fan, this is an interesting version. And I don't like a lot of rap at all. But it has a "Living Colour - Cult of Personality" feel to it.
I've listened to Santana's music for 4 decades and loved virtually all of it until this track. Carlos' work is still amazing, but it just doesn't fit the genre. Santana and hip hop just don't mix well (at least in this offering).
People who dislike this song either were expecting straight ahead rock or don't really know how legendary Nas is. Nas is to real hip hop as what Carlos Santana is to latin rock. That's why Santana chose Nas to rap on this track!

Great cover. This isn't rap, there are proper musicians on it :)
The original is part of rock legend but the voice is not easy to emulate. Our band does it with a deeper lazy voice and here it lends itself to rap.
But when a guitar god touches a rock legend, you get this ..... brilliant!
